Chapter 1 - The Essay

Sao Xi is considered to be highly observant through chapters, either playing around with opponents to gain advantage over the fight or being playful on purpose to mess with people.

Mainly uses kyokushin karate and street fighting from experience. If alone while fighting, she will experiment other fighting techniques to test her abilities with other opponents.

Outside of combat, her usual personality is serious but will sometimes be playful to those she considers close to. Not many people are allies or family to her, being betrayed before. Sao's actual personality shows her true thinking in life, acting apathetic when seriously injured and acting passive aggressively towards people she hates or dislikes.

This also has a downside of making her abuse substances or drugs, usually stemming from past experiences. Which led her being diagnosed with PTSD at some point in her life. Her morals are questionable, having committed crimes that landed her in jail before.

Sao Xi is an antagonist for most of the story, her goals of revenge to aim for a larger force who will cause irreversible damage if left untreated.

"I'll make sure to let everyone know about the crimes they commited, it's the least I could do to redeem myself for the damages done."

"May our redemption be bittersweet."

There is a statue placed near the mirrors, in the shrine to show respect in her name, built by her foe, but it is just a rumor. Only those who are hated by her, truly know who she was.

_____

Talla So-Juu is a part of the main cast, being cocky about her wins or doing anything to play a huge favor in fights, being carefree and calm will mess opponents up. Uses street fighting and her own experiences in fighting to win.

The huge experience gap makes it hard for opponents to outsmart her, however there are times when a new fighter surprises her.

Outside of combat, Talla is calm but easily startled by the amounts of fights her mentor gets into, acting mostly like a side character. She is ambitious and free but is shackled by other opinions, wasting her potential for becoming the jack of all trades.

Her morals are not explained, as she has many lenses on life for she is considered somewhat immortal. Talla So-Juu mostly symbolizes the moon, feeling cold but always there at night. Her journey is undecided, but soon she will use her potential to become the greatest historian. Or perhaps another field of work, if it doesn't suit her.

"I plead, your life will last long, for we will meet again, although you cannot remember me."

"How old am I? 16 currently, but mentally, I'm very, very old. That doesn't mean you can act

weird. Just treat me like a teen."

There are times that she acts older than her physical age, in many chapters characters say that she acts a lot like a grandma, or an adult spiritually. A lot similar to shadow the hedgehog's age. We never know.

Sometimes when it comes to love, she

seems mostly avoidant in the idea of it, hinting the fact she may have some guilt over it due to past traumas. Or perhaps being closeted is a better term for it. But there are times where Talla loves another, almost a poet would, but doesn't go far to push boundaries, respecting her lover; Yang Hosu.

The writer ahem.. me, pushes the romance, however backed down showing her affection with her lover in public because the couple is wary of the people around them. This couple has shown judgement, love, and the battle of their own bias against each other. These conflicting feelings are usually shown through emotional cries, or mental breakdowns.

Note that I was watching a tragic show, during the writing period of creating their relationship, and it was written too fast paced, considering that the two characters had no interaction before this. That is a mistake in my works writing, but we are gonna change the subject to another character.

_____

Min Chang is a character who is shown at first to be very stoic, not really changing his expression most of the time. He mainly uses a glock, usually acting fast and mysterious when fighting. His fighting style is not stated, since his way of fighting is more of a hit man than anything. It's brutal, raw, and very much inspired from batman.

Outside of combat, he shows a wide range of emotions, although limited unlike the other

characters before this. Min acts neutral, acting like a third party, an outsider to most scenes, but usually has some morals to go along with. He usually teases family members of their past mistakes, having a strong bond with his kid to make sure he doesn't go too far from committing..an act of violence.

Min is more considered a protagonist, since his relations with Sao Xi are getting more strained each time they meet, but knows sooner or later he will end up targeting her. He wants to visibly get out of this forceful choice of getting rid of the person close to him, but unfortunately, he will also be a target too.

"..You can try."

"I feel guilty, but I wasn't the one to do that."

He misses her, I don't mean, Sao Xi who is getting targeted. He misses his former wife, Ju Eun. Constantly, endlessly thinking about her, to an unhealthy degree which is quite upsetting. His past is covered in his guilt, doubts of what went wrong, either making him stand very long or staying up late to look at the sunflower on his bedroom shelf.

He loses too many of his allies, too many rejections of what could have been, too much pain for him to handle. Min yearns the day where he feels relief, of the overwhelming grief that builds up each decade. It is highly similar to his enemy Sao Xi, but never had the chance to move on; unlike Min Chang, who did move on.

His ideology revolves around Constitutionalism due to being an attorney/lawyer but will later be corrupted by money, while her ideology is more hateful, Ochlocracy.

Sao controls and owns a part of a Mafia State. Her ideology isn't as clear, and it's very vague what exactly fits in her own beliefs. They both collide due to separate beliefs, occupations, and history. They both share the same pains, but they express it differently, for her was shock, anger, and depression. For him, it was denial, bargaining, testing, and acceptance.

These two characters have stages of grief all over their interactions, either being full of childish fighting or deep emotional talk, being each other's therapist without a license.

But now that he lost her trust, he

doesn't know what to feel, and falsely accepts Sao's ideals in the end. Trying to distract himself by taking care of his son or work.

_____

And then there's Jineo Chang, the son of Min, who is an arsonist; plus a liar. Luckily for him, he's actually quite happy, causing chaos and destruction everywhere he went. But don't worry, he has a soft spot for the elderly. But the worst thing is, he's out of jail, and he's going to make that a problem for everyone.

Great ending to this hyperfixation writing thing, anyway, please send a lot of fire extinguishers as my business is burning down to the ground! No jokes and silly games!
