Chapter 18 - New arrivals

The courtyard was calm under the morning sun, the students moving between classes and activities as usual. Aiden and Selene walked side by side, their hands brushing slightly, a quiet confidence settling over them after yesterday's confession.

For once, Aiden felt lighter. The tension that had built in his chest over the weeks seemed to release, replaced by the comfort of knowing Selene was officially his. She smiled up at him, her crimson eyes warm, and he couldn't help but smile back.

Even the elite supernatural students, who had always observed him with interest, noted the change in his aura. He walked with purpose now, carrying himself in a way that seemed to draw attention naturally, not forcibly.

Classes continued, and Aiden tried to focus on his studies, though his mind occasionally drifted to the mystical bond Ophis had revealed. That connection, deeper than any he had known, hummed faintly inside him, a silent promise of power and destiny.

By midday, the academy's gates opened with a subtle grace, and the attention of the students was drawn automatically to the entrance. Two figures approached, their presence commanding and unmistakable.

The first was Lilith, tall and elegant, her aura radiating both the nobility of her vampire father and the raw essence of her mother, a demon goddess. She carried herself with ease, and it was immediately clear she had inherited her mother's name — Lilith — in full, a mark of power and legacy.

Beside her, a young man moved with sharp precision — her twin brother. His aura, though slightly quieter than hers, carried the same intensity, a reflection of both their parents' formidable lineage.

Students paused, instinctively stepping aside. Teachers inclined their heads, acknowledging the arrival of Victor's children.

Aiden felt it immediately, a faint stirring in the air as the twins' aura brushed against him. Victor's reach was subtle but undeniable, and even without being addressed directly, Aiden knew — somehow — that this arrival was connected to him.

Lilith's eyes, glowing faintly in the sunlight, swept across the courtyard. When they landed on Aiden, a small, enigmatic smile formed on her lips. It was more than curiosity — it was a recognition of potential, a silent acknowledgment that this boy would soon play a role in something far larger than the walls of the academy.

Victor's children had arrived. And with them came a new chapter, one that would challenge Aiden, test his strength, and further pull him into the orbit of the most powerful beings in existence.
