Chapter 3 - Chapter Two: The Cursed Aura

What do you think of the second chapter? Is it good? I just wanted to show the hero's abilities a little.

Chapter Two: The Cursed Aura

Morning was gently streaming through the windows, bringing golden threads of light dancing on the walls like delicate ghosts. But I wasn't among the sleepers; I was awake, meditating and practicing. My body was sitting cross-legged on the bed, my eyes quietly closed, as if I were immersed in another world. I felt a golden energy enveloping me in a rhythmic fashion, like a fabric of light weaving threads around my being. This energy radiated a strange warmth, filling my soul with both reassurance and awe.

This was one of the abilities I acquired after learning about the hidden forces in this world. Over the years, I developed it little by little, like a plant watered with patience and effort. The goal of this skill was to develop my "cursed aura," an aura that serves as both a protective shield and a deadly weapon.

In those years, after I discovered my grandfather's diaries, I realized that he was not just an ordinary man, but a magician dealing with a world of hidden monsters, creatures known as "curses." The diaries contained profound secrets, written in his tired handwriting, as if every letter carried a trace of his suffering.

The diaries explained that in this world there is a hidden energy called "cursed energy," which manifests through a person's negative emotions. When the user of this energy reaches a certain level of power, they can manifest and direct it as they please. But this energy is not just an ordinary force stemming from negative emotions; it is something deeper and more complex.

For most people, if they knew such power existed, they would be happy to become supermen. But the truth was much darker. This cursed energy was not only capable of increasing physical strength, speed, and endurance, but also of accelerating healing and recovery. But the question that haunted me was: Why was it that only I could see these monsters? Why did I point my hand at them, and no one else did?

After carefully reading the diary, I understood that cursed energy isn't easy to obtain. Severe conditions must be met for one to be able to use it, such as being close to death or possessing a large amount of cursed energy. The reason the previous Kaito possessed this energy was simply because he suffered the loss of his grandfather, which put him in a difficult psychological state. Since he was originally an orphan and relied heavily on his grandfather, the shock was immense.

Because of this deep psychological pain, he acquired the cursed energy and became able to see entities known as curses, monsters invisible to ordinary humans. But why are these creatures invisible to ordinary humans, when all humans possess the cursed energy?

The answer was also in the diary: ordinary humans cannot control their own cursed energy, and because this energy is constantly spreading, it creates these cursed creatures. In the years since, I'd learned all of this from the diary. In short, I'd come to understand that this world was a hell of invisible beings, fought by people who were magicians, and my grandfather was one of them.

My grandfather had long since retired, losing interest after his children died. After his death, he left me this book, which became my guide through this mysterious world. For these notes, I am deeply grateful to my grandfather, as they have given me a deeper understanding of this world and the abilities I possess. At the time, I didn't understand why I could see these curses, but after understanding the nature of cursed energy, I was gradually able to discover the second level of this energy, which is "enhancement."

I had become able to enhance my human strength. While I was commuting to school and back, I would take periods of training to gain a deeper understanding of this. My strength grew stronger day by day, until I was strong enough to face off against thirty men at once after using the cursed energy. Not only that, but my speed had become as fast as an old motorcycle, and with constant training, I learned how to get even faster.

After that, I discovered the highest level of cursed energy, which was mentioned in the diary under the name "Cursed Technique." Every mage has their own cursed technique, which gradually emerges after they discover their cursed energy. So, I took my time and tried to understand what my cursed technique was.

I discovered that my technique's name was "Cursed Aura," and I chose this name because it closely resembled an ability in my favorite anime, Hunter x Hunter. The cursed energy I unleashed turned into an aura similar to the anime's Nen aura. So, naturally, I went and got a glass of water to see if it was anything like what happened in my previous life in the anime.

As I expected, the same thing happened as in the anime. I discovered my aura class through the Nen apps, and the water tasted sweet. I was a "converter," someone like Killua Zoldyck from Hunter x Hunter, able to turn my aura into physical objects I could use.

I used the information I had, along with the information in the diary, to develop myself. The world I live in now is full of monsters hidden from normal humans, and I must be strong to survive. With two years of consistent training and my previous knowledge of anime, I was able to design a training program that would make me stronger and more resilient.

Location: At school. After school, I left school as usual. On my way home, I saw a group of curses perched on a tree, staring at humans with hungry eyes. I felt my heart pound, and I swallowed hard. I took a deep breath and said to myself, "I have to get rid of these curses quickly."

I quickly looked around to make sure no one was watching me, then whispered quietly in my mind, "The sword." The katana suddenly appeared in my hand, radiating a light golden energy. Using the enhanced power granted by the cursed energy, I quickly leapt over five meters. With a swift movement of the sword, I sliced through the three curses on the tree.

I returned to the ground and looked around again. I sighed in relief after making sure no one had noticed me, then walked straight out the school gate. Half an hour later, I arrived home. My house was close to the school, which made it easy for me to get back quickly.

Naturally, I headed to the garden behind the house. There was a wall blocking the view, plus a ground area of about thirty square meters, making it an ideal place for daily training. I stood in the middle of the garden and took a deep breath.

"First, I must summon the sword." The sword appeared in my hand again, but this time it was different. The sword I had developed wasn't just an ordinary weapon; it was the product of my ability to transform and materialize. Since my special ability was of the Transformer type, I had a talent for materializing and enhancing. Since I admired Kurapika's character in the anime, and had some understanding of this, I chose a sword-based fighting style.

I loved swords so much that I started focusing on building my sword skills. As I expected, it wasn't easy. It took me several weeks of consistent training. In those weeks, I realized that my talent level was much lower than characters like Killua and Gon in the anime, but I was still talented in the Nen field.

The sword I conjured wasn't an ordinary sword, but a materialization-type sword with transformation and enhancement. The most important feature of this sword is that it can transform my cursed energy into lightning electricity that strikes curses. Furthermore, I am able to manipulate the strike range within a five-meter radius. With this technique, I am able to fight curses for extended periods and even think of different abilities.

Over the years, I'd crafted several abilities, combining them with my understanding of the Hunter x Hunter world. Slowly, my mastery was turning into strength that allowed me to confidently annihilate curses. Now, standing in the garden, I began to perform sword skills. My movements were precise, vertical and horizontal slashes. Swordsmanship had become a part of me, thanks to the talent I'd discovered. I was able to replicate swordsmanship with ease.

Additionally, my body, enhanced by the cursed energy, made the training even more effective. Every swing of the sword created a current of wind, as if I were cutting through the air itself. My training continued for hours, until six o'clock in the evening. I felt a delicious exhaustion flooding my body, but I also felt content. I looked up at the sky where the stars were beginning to appear, and I said to myself, "This is my path, this is my world... and I must be strong to live in it."
