"Shut up!" Marcus
snapped, wrapping the belt tightly around his hand. He lashed it across Ruby's
body with a force that made him seem less like a man and more like a wild
animal. "Do as I say!"
"No… please!" Ruby
cried, her body marked all over as if someone had branded her with fire. "Don't
hit me! Please… leave me! My child is outside playing… if I go… who will feed
him? You're his father too!"
"I know, baby…"
Marcus's voice softened, just a fraction. "I'm his father too. Listen… we have
to survive for him—for our child." He took Ruby's hand gently in his, trying to
convey the love hidden beneath his rough exterior.
"Yes… we must
survive." Ruby's face held both a trace of pain and a glimmer of hope as she
thought of seeing her child again.
"Alright then."
Marcus got up and brought the papers from the floor. "Sign these, and live your
life."
Ruby paused for a
moment, tears spilling from her eyes, but a small smile touched her lips as she
signed the papers—her mind already on the reunion with her child.
"Good… come on, go
see him," Marcus urged, chuckling softly. "I keep forgetting… he's our child.
Go, live your life… I'll come too, I'll see him."
With that, Marcus
opened the gate and walked toward his child. Ruby followed quickly, stepping
out of the room, and together they embraced their little one—finally united,
finally free.
Seven years later…
After the incident
with Marcus, Ruby's mental health had been a little fragile, but she never let
anyone see it.
And Marcus… after
becoming the owner of Ruby's land, had built a massive empire. Yet, despite all
his success, he lived peacefully with his family.
"Go to school
properly, don't misbehave," Ruby reminded Finn, fixing his hair and giving his
face one final look before his school bus arrived.
"Alright, mommy, I'm
going," Finn said, climbing into the bus.
Finn reached the
school corridor and thought, Where is my class? Sweat trickled down his
forehead; it was already class time, and he still hadn't found it. What should
I do?
"Which class should
you go to?" asked Teacher Hazel.
"I have to go to
class 7A," Finn replied.
"It's on the second
floor. Go up," Teacher Hazel instructed.
"Alright, I'm
going," Finn said.
As Finn entered his
classroom, his eyes immediately landed on a girl. He looked at her for a few
seconds before taking his seat.
Soon, the class
began.
"Hello, what's your
name?" Scarlet asked softly.
"My name is Finn,"
he replied.
After class ended,
all the boys approached Finn together.
"Hi," they greeted.
Within a few days,
all the boys became friends with Finn.
Finn's life changed;
he no longer just came to school to study—he went to meet his friends.
Meanwhile, Victor
was being punished by a teacher, and all the other friends were laughing at
him.
Suddenly, Damien ran
over. Victor's younger brother, Leo, was being attacked.
Finn said, "Let's
handle this now. Lunch will be over in 15 minutes." The entire 7A section and
the boys from 7B joined him.
Leo was in class 8
and had a reputation as a school gangster
On the school
ground, many boys were standing around, causing trouble.
Only two boys were
with Leo at first, but when he saw Finn approaching with so many boys, Leo
smiled and called out.
All the boys on the
ground immediately gathered around Leo.
Finn picked up a rod
and, with all the boys supporting him, ran toward Leo's group.
A huge fight broke
out. Fists and rods clashed. Finn struck Leo so hard with the rod that Leo
collapsed, badly hurt.
The chaos escalated
so much that the principal, Mr. Princepel, had to come down from the office,
and even the entire school staff had to intervene.
The teachers and
school staff were trying to escort both groups back to their respective
classes.
Leo shoved the
teacher aside, a dangerous smile spreading across his face. He pulled out his
phone in front of everyone and called his friends waiting outside the school.
Even the teachers
didn't dare scold Leo — everyone was thinking the same thing: "We just want to
go home alive…"
Finn quietly took
his seat in class. Even after the last period ended, he and his group didn't
step outside. A few moments later, Finn peered out the window — and his heart
skipped a beat.
There, standing
outside the school, were over 400 boys. Hockey sticks, rods, and other
dangerous weapons were in their hands. The air felt heavy with tension.
Finn gave a dangerous smile.
