It's him!" Mike wasn't too surprised after hearing his Water clone's report.
Bullseye, a mercenary and professional assassin, mostly works for Kingpin. Speaking of Kingpin, he is the largest crime boss in New York and even the entire U.S. Almost 40% of criminal activities in the U.S. are directly or indirectly related to him.
Simply put, Kingpin is the undisputed crime emperor of New York and even the entire U.S..
On the surface, Kingpin looks like a serious, pale fat man. But unlike Fat Jerry's chubby face, sagging body, and flabby flesh, ninety percent of Kingpin's body is muscle. He can engage in hand-to-hand combat with top-tier fighters like Daredevil, Punisher, and Blade, and has a mixed record of wins and losses.
Of course, merely being a good fighter isn't enough for Kingpin to become the crime emperor. For example, Rhino, with his simplemindedness, wouldn't become a crime emperor even if he were ten times stronger. Kingpin is meticulous and far more intelligent than ordinary people; he manages his criminal enterprise like a business.
If possible, Mike didn't want to be enemies with Kingpin, unless there was an opportunity to kill him directly. Otherwise, it would be like trying to kill a snake and getting bitten instead.
"But they've already come knocking. If I don't do anything, everything I've done before will be in vain." Mike was now experiencing Pepper's feelings.
"Oh, wow!!!"
Back in the room, Skye was still very excited, and a little scared. She let Little Fire Dragon out to get some air.
Black Widow was reporting Mike's new abilities to Fury.
"Pink mist?" Nick asked, "Can it block a sniper rifle?"
"No, it's not mist, but rather dust. It can form a protective shield and, under Mike's intelligence, attack enemies. So, it's both offensive and defensive," Black Widow replied.
"Alright, classify this intelligence as Level 10 clearance." Fury had a headache. "Does Mike have any weaknesses?"
"Yes!"
"What?"
"Women."
After a moment of thought, Fury said seriously, "Do you think it's a real weakness, or a weakness he wants others to see?"
"I think it's the former."
"Any proof?"
"Intuition." Black Widow's lips curled. Women's opinions of men are often wrong, but their intuition is very accurate; it's just that they are emotional and always deny their own intuition.
For example, if a husband or boyfriend cheats, wives and girlfriends can usually sense it, but they will subconsciously hypnotize themselves: "No, he loves me, just as I love him."
"Alright, your intuition." As a spy and a straight-laced man, how could Fury be expected to believe intuition?
Not even a woman's intuition!
That's why his stomach hurt.
His gaze involuntarily darted towards the bottom drawer, where his most carefully guarded secret lay.
"No, I must resist. I absolutely cannot rely on it." Fury's eyes were firm, but his mind involuntarily recalled the chewy texture and fruity fragrance of fruit gummy candies.
The following days passed peacefully. S.H.I.E.L.D. intensified its efforts to apprehend Obadiah.
Mike doubted S.H.I.E.L.D. would genuinely put in their best effort to catch Obadiah; the so-called "intensified effort" was merely superficial.
Mike called Stark and told him the agreed-upon date had arrived.
"Thanks, see you tonight." Stark said something inexplicable, then hung up.
Fortunately, the soul power and destiny energy were not omitted.
Around 8 PM, Pepper finished her last appointment and hugged Mike and Skye separately.
"Thank you both," Pepper said with a smile.
"You're welcome." Skye scratched her head, "I don't think I did anything…"
Pepper wanted to keep them for another night. Mike didn't care, but Skye refused. For some reason, she missed the supermarket and her small apartment more than a luxurious suite costing tens of thousands of U.S. dollars a night.
She parked the sports car in the garage.
Skye bounced out of the garage: "I'm back!!!" She ran into the supermarket like a wild child.
At this time, Old Earl was closing up, and Chloe, wearing a small apron, headscarf, and arm sleeves, was helping clean. Seeing Skye, she immediately put down her tools and rushed over to hug Skye's leg: "Sister Skye, Bobby, where's Bobby?"
Skye: "…"
She pinched Chloe's cheek, "Only thinking about Bobby, not me? I spoiled you for nothing, huh?"
Chloe shook her head repeatedly: "No, no, I think of Sister Skye too."
"Is it fun to bully a little girl?" Mike rolled his eyes.
"Yes, it is." Skye said matter-of-factly, "Don't you think so?"
After thinking for a moment, Mike replied, "I think so too." As he spoke, he took Chloe's other cheek.
"Go, go, go!" Old Earl couldn't watch anymore. "You two big kids."
"Hahaha!" Skye laughed loudly. Her mood brightened upon returning to this place.
Under Chloe's pleading gaze, Skye still released Little Fire Dragon. The two cute creatures immediately huddled together. Bobby followed Chloe, helping to clean, though he was only getting in the way. Chloe occasionally pulled out snacks to feed Bobby, and the girl and the dragon had a great time.
Skye ran upstairs to shower. After showering, she lay on the bed, looking at her computer. By the time Mike finished showering, she was already asleep, lying face down.
After Stark Industries, Skye had been a bit tense, probably from exhaustion. Mike turned her over, covered her with an air-conditioned quilt, and then lay down beside her.
After an unknown amount of time, Mike opened his eyes in the darkness. He heard an unusual sound.
He carefully got up, changed his clothes, and went to the rooftop.
"Couldn't you have come earlier or tomorrow?" Mike grumbled.
Stark arrived, wearing his Iron Man Suit. The suit was painted gold and red, just like in the movie, extremely flashy.
"No." Stark removed his faceplate. "How about it, handsome?"
"Handsome!" Mike said impatiently, "If that's all you wanted to hear, you got it. Now scram!"
"Not scrambling." Stark said with a cheeky grin, "Help me test it out, by the way. I'm very confident in this suit."
"Ah da!"
The suit performed a side kick, the movement natural and fluid, with almost perfect balance.
"Not bad," Mike praised.
Stark was smug: "There are few people in this World with your kind of abnormal fighting ability. Using you as a reference target is clearly wrong, and why compete with you in your strongest area? Isn't that just asking for trouble?"
"Look!"
A mechanism on the Iron Man Suit's shoulder opened, deploying a miniature missile launcher, which startled Mike. In the middle of the night, did he want to disturb the neighbors?
Stark, however, thought Mike was stunned by the power of the miniature missiles and smiled even more smugly.
Next, Stark showed Mike the energy cannons on his chest and palms.
Compared to the original Mark III, both its basic performance and functions were significantly improved.
Stark patted his chest plate, "Aerospace-grade titanium alloy. Try cutting it again?"
"Heh heh~" Mike smiled genuinely.
For some reason, an ominous premonition arose in Stark's heart.
