7: Hidden Secrets of Konoha
The morning in Konoha was quiet, yet Kanro Sasho felt a weight in the air that made him uneasy. Ever since that night of training under the moonlight, his dreams had grown darker. The mark on his chest pulsed constantly, whispering faint words he could not yet understand.
At the academy, Kanro noticed something unusual—older scrolls in the library seemed to draw his attention more than usual. He wandered there during free time, drawn by an inexplicable pull.
Inside the dim library, dust hung in the air. Scrolls and books of old chakra techniques, forgotten histories, and ninja secrets lined the shelves. One shelf in particular seemed… alive.
Kanro's hand hovered over it, drawn toward a worn scroll bound in black cloth. The moment he touched it, his Seer Path flared again. His vision blurred, replaced by a strange vision of the past—shadows of ninja battles, faces unknown, and strange symbols glowing gold.
He gasped and pulled back. The scroll slipped slightly, revealing more beneath it: an engraving of an eye with circles, identical to the mark on his chest.
Kanro's heartbeat quickened. This was no coincidence.
A Meeting with the Elders
Later that day, Kanro was summoned by the village elders. The Elder Council sat in the chamber, their faces solemn.
"Kanro Sasho," one began, "you have been marked since birth. That mark is not of the shinobi… but of something older."
Kanro clenched his fists.
"I… don't understand."
The elder spoke again.
"It is the mark of the Path. Your Path. It is said that such markings belong to those chosen by fate to walk between worlds. But it comes with danger. Others will seek you… for power or for destruction."
Kanro's mind raced. The masked figure from the night before came to his thoughts. Were they connected?
The Hidden Training
That evening, Kanro returned to the training grounds. His determination had grown. He decided to push his Seer Path further.
He trained alone under the moonlight again, using a new method—combining taijutsu with chakra manipulation and perception of fate.
He practiced for hours:
Anticipating multiple moves at once, predicting not just the next strike but the sequence of attacks.
Blending chakra into strikes to enhance speed and power.
Silent movement, approaching his target without being sensed.
During this training, Kanro began to understand something crucial—his Path was not only about seeing the future, but also about influencing it.
A strange warmth spread in his chest. The mark glowed faintly, and for the first time, Kanro felt like he had a choice—whether to embrace the Path, or to resist it.
The Warning
As Kanro packed his training gear, a faint voice echoed in the clearing:
"Kanro Sasho… the Path is watching."
Kanro's eyes narrowed. Somewhere deep inside, he knew his life was no longer his own.
The Path had begun to awaken.
Far beyond Konoha, in a place cloaked in shadow, watchers whispered once more:
"The boy knows. Soon, the secret will be revealed."
