Chapter 14 - CHAPTER 13

Tabby woke up to an unpleasant cold. She slowly opened her eyes and a satisfied smile played on her mouth for a tiny moment, because she had just realized where she was. She raised herself up on her elbows a little and looked next to her at the one she was supposed to watch over all night, but instead she fell asleep soundly, like a little baby. David was still sleeping soundly and smiling in his sleep. His hair was funny tousled, she suppressed the desire to straighten it, she didn't want to wake him up. She understood why she was so cold, he had the blanket pulled possessively to his chest. She carefully moved closer and examined him carefully. His left eye began to take on an incredible color and at that sight Tabby gritted her teeth angrily, because she remembered that poor Ted. She was increasingly convinced that it was he who had invited his buddies. She shuddered at the thought that he would come to their place for dinner today, but it was a great opportunity to settle it with him once and for all. And in front of everyone. She shook off her angry thoughts and quietly slipped out of bed. She headed straight for the bathroom, having not even had time to wash herself properly during yesterday's busy evening. After a while, she was already blissfully aware of the streams of warm water, pleasantly flowing down her slender body. She was so absorbed in the pleasant sensations that she didn't even notice the slightest movement at the half-open door...

David took a deep breath and clenched his hands into fists. The look that had just met his eyes took away all his peace. He tried with all his might to suppress the exciting wave that had now run through his body. She was beautiful, he greedily savored the opportunity to look at her. Her skin was as soft as magnolia leaves, a strange contrast to her hair as black as raven wings. She was amazingly slim, he couldn't take his eyes off her breasts, between which streams of water flowed and her legs smoothly turned into gently shaped ankles. He almost started cursing himself that he should leave something like this to someone else...but he wasn't going to change his decision. To hell with illnesses! He tried to calm his rapid breathing and instead returned to the room with a sigh, took off his wrinkled shirt and angrily threw it on the floor. He

stopped at the table and thoughtfully took the old scroll of maps in his hands. He remembered the strange fluorescent glow that had surprised him at night. All the more, the enthusiasm to reveal the secrets of that strange place flared up in him, no matter what it cost him. He was so absorbed in his thoughts that he didn't even notice the approaching quiet footsteps and immediately jumped when he felt a gentle touch on his shoulder. He turned around and froze in amazement. Tabby was still next to him, her hair and body wrapped only in a towel. He swallowed hard and tried to shift his thoughts completely elsewhere. But it seemed in vain.

"Good morning, how are you?" Tabby asked and smiled at him. Her forgetful eyes shone like two stars.

"Um…yeah…well…better…if you can say that..." He stammered, agitated. She blinked in surprise and her eyes slid to his table.

"Is that the mysterious place you want to go to?"

"Hm...that's right. It's in Nepal, in the foothills of the Himalayas. It's surrounded by an ancient legend that hasn't let me sleep for a long time."

"And what does that strange word...junoon mean?"

"To tell you the truth, I don't know. In the language of that country, it means possession. I can't pinpoint its exact meaning. Maybe some curse or something like that...but those are just ancient legends..."

"Wow, that's very interesting. But isn't it dangerous for you? It's a very long way and what you just told me...I'm sorry, but I know something about you...and..." He didn't let her finish.

"Be calm, it is dangerous, but certainly less than what awaits me in my life...if you know anything about me...I have always been a great dreamer, nothing dangerous is unattainable for me, you just have to close your eyes and dreams become reality...try to follow your dreams sometimes, it is amazing, reality disappears for a moment like a cloud of fog...many times in my dreams I have seen a beautiful, powerfully grown tree, without knowing the place or the country, but subconsciously I felt that it existed... in whose leaves the rays of the rising sun were reflected golden...and on each leaf it seemed as if one day of my life was written, in each rustle of the wind it seemed as if thousands of whispering voices, like human destinies, resounded. In the shadow of that tree I vaguely see a girl's figure sitting. Her head is resting on her bent knees, her hair is black as a raven's wings...I have not yet seen her face, didn't know, but now..." and he gently placed a finger on her mouth.

"That's beautiful," Tabby whispered and despite her self-control she felt her breathing pick up the pace of a race car. She opened her mouth sensually and closed her eyes. Suddenly it came. David felt that he was sick. All self-control was gone. When she gently ran her fingers over his naked chest, he violently clasped her in his arms and then hungrily sought her lips, which he couldn't get enough of. He had to let go at times so that they could breathe at all. The towel slipped off her head and slid lightly to the floor. David, as if in a daze, wandered his hands over her body, savoring every second he could touch her. With one movement, he could have rid her of the second towel and... but suddenly sobering came, because he realized his intentions.

He pulled away from her, breathing heavily and covering his face with his hands.

"Sorry… sorry… I couldn't control myself…" She smiled at him and stroked his cheek.

"Why are you apologizing to me? We both wanted this… just like yesterday in the park."

"Yeah, you're right… but… this really can't be done, don't be angry…" He said in a muffled voice and stepped back to the table. Tabby let out a disappointed sigh and sniffed.

"Sure, how else. It's fine with me, I'm used to it… okay, I'm going to get dressed. It's time to go, dad will be worried…" She replied disappointedly. He turned to her and gently stroked her hair. Her forgetful eyes shone strangely under her black arched eyebrows. It reminded him of the look of a frightened doe.

"Please, Tabby, you have to understand that..." She frowned and took a step back.

"There's nothing to understand here...sorry, but I really have to go..." she replied coldly, her voice trembling slightly as she said it. A moment later she disappeared behind the bathroom door again. David gritted his teeth and angrily slammed his fist on the table.

"Damn...damn!...everything is completely different!..." he said between his teeth. He bitterly realized that tonight it would be different eyes that would look at her and caress her beauty.

But the dice had already been cast. There was no turning back
