From inside the shed, Nelson's voice rang out, confused and slightly annoyed. "Where is the person you mentioned? Where are they?"
I let out a quiet breath and stepped forward. "Come on," I said calmly. "Looks like we're about to watch a very interesting show."
When I walked into the shed, my eyes swept across the room. There was nothing there except a simple bed. No sign of Silas. No blood. No body.
I had not expected them to call the police so boldly, but I knew very well that the estate was being watched from all directions. There were eyes everywhere. I would never have been careless enough to let Silas remain there long enough to be discovered.
Some things must be handled quickly.
I had already sent Silas away before the police arrived.
Linda stared at me, her face pale and filled with disbelief. "Where is he?" she demanded. "I've been watching! There's no way you could have moved him!"
