Chapter 3 - chapter 3: The Dark prophecy

Aria's question hung in the air, and the Vampwolf's gaze seemed to bore into her soul. For a moment, she thought she saw a flicker of humanity in his eyes, but it was quickly extinguished.

The Vampwolf's hand dropped from her face, and he turned to walk away. Aria followed him, curiosity getting the better of her. They walked in silence, the only sound being the rustling of leaves beneath their feet.

As they walked, Aria noticed that the Vampwolf seemed to be leading her deeper into the forest. She wondered where they were going and what his intentions were.

Suddenly, the Vampwolf stopped in front of a massive stone monument. Aria recognized it as an ancient ruin, one that was said to hold the secrets of the forest.

The Vampwolf turned to her, his eyes gleaming in the moonlight. "This is where it began," he said, his voice low and husky. "The prophecy of the Blood Moon."

Aria's eyes widened as she approached the monument. She saw ancient symbols etched into the stone, symbols that seemed to pulse with a dark energy.

"What prophecy?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

The Vampwolf's gaze seemed to burn with intensity. "A prophecy of balance," he said. "A balance between light and darkness, between human and monster."

Aria felt a shiver run down her spine. She knew that she was being drawn into something much larger than herself.

"What role do I play in this?" she asked, her voice firm.

The Vampwolf's gaze locked onto hers. "You are the key," he said. "The key to unlocking the balance."

Aria's eyes narrowed. She didn't know what to make of the Vampwolf's words, but she knew that she had to uncover the truth...
