Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

The eldest sister, Hestia, and the second sister, Demeter, did not speak, but they also cast an apologetic look at Hades, indicating that their position was the same as Hera's and that they would not help him.

Hades was stunned for a moment. He had not expected the three of them to refuse to help him. They were all siblings and their relationship was very close. There was no reason to help only Poseidon and not him.

"Can you tell me the reason?" Hades asked.

Hera did not respond. She was still crouched alone in a corner, leaning silently against it. Her bright blue eyes were as calm as water, and no one knew what she was thinking.

As the eldest sister, Hestia also remained silent.

Hades looked at Demeter. As the most mature and gentle of the three girls, Demeter seemed a little over thirty years old. She was more like an elder sister than Hestia and the one who made decisions among the three sisters.

Demeter sighed, looked at Hades with pity, and said:"I'm sorry, brother. Last time we helped Poseidon escape from Father's belly, we suffered great harm. With little divine power left, Father grew enraged and sent down his wrath, forcing us to fall into a deep sleep."

"If we help you escape, Hades, this time the wrath of Father God will be something we cannot withstand..."

After briefly stating the reason, Demeter hoped that Hades would retreat when faced with such difficulties, but she could not help feeling anguish and pity. After thinking for a moment, she still resisted the urge to reach out her hand to touch his head and comfort him.

The sky, the sea, and the underworld. Now only the Lord of the Underworld had not escaped. It was easy to imagine the pressure upon Hades. How much criticism and mockery he would suffer from the outside world was unknown.

"Help me get out. One day, I will return and rescue you."

Hades made his promise seriously.

Hearing this, the eldest sister, Hestia, reacted and looked at Hades with her big, cute eyes.

This time, Hera, still crouching alone in a corner, spoke with a calm expression and a cold voice, saying:"Poseidon has not returned yet."

Hades understood the underlying meaning of this sentence. It was Hera who expressed distrust of him.

The three sisters were now trapped in Cronos's belly—what did they need most? Undoubtedly, it was freedom.

However, the divine authority the three women held was not to be taken lightly. If they wanted to leave, they could only rely on others. But Poseidon, whom they had trusted before, had been treacherous and had not fulfilled his promise to rescue them.

On the contrary, the three women had suffered Cronos's wrath and had been forced into a deep sleep.

Thinking of Poseidon's behavior, Hades thought of a dragon that never kept its promises. He also understood why the three sisters were unwilling to help him. The risk was too great, and it was possible he might be like Poseidon—leaving and never returning.

Their investment would once again be in vain.

"My sisters, I am not Poseidon. I use my reputation as Lord of the Underworld to guarantee that I will one day return to rescue you. Please, believe me, sisters."

Hades understood the concerns of his three sisters, but that did not mean he would give up.

Hestia, Demeter, and Hera remained silent, seeming to consider Hades's words.

After a moment of silence, the three women looked at each other and said:"Yes, our brother, your sincerity makes us decide to believe you, but..."

Hades's expression did not change at all. There was always a "but" behind everything.

"But we don't have much divine power left. Last time we helped Poseidon escape, we did so while Father God was asleep. Therefore, Father has already taken precautions. We can no longer do it without him noticing. If we help you escape, you must face Father God Cronos, the strongest Titan."

"Are you sure you want to leave?"

After the three women finished speaking, they looked at their younger brother Hades, waiting for his answer.

"Please, sisters."

Hades nodded, his eyes firmer than ever.

The three women looked at Hades in surprise and were impressed by his determination. They decided to believe him for once:"Dear brother, we can help you leave, but you must promise us that after half a month, as the Lord of the Underworld, you will rescue us from Father God's belly."

The memory of Chaos told Hades that he was the king of the underworld, and in this capacity, he could not make promises lightly. Once he made a promise, he had to fulfill it and could not go back on it, otherwise, he would suffer backlash and his divine power would be severely damaged!

But he had to get out, and he said without hesitation:"I, Hades, King of the Underworld, make a promise here. After leaving, I will return within half a month to free you, Hestia, Demeter, and Hera."

Once a promise was made, it took effect immediately.

When the three girls saw Hades make a promise without hesitation, on one hand, they were surprised by his courage. On the other hand, they felt a little joy, feeling that they had trusted the right person and finally had hope of seeing the light of day again.

A gentle smile appeared on Demeter's kind and mature face:"My dear brother, half a month is too harsh for you, but this is not because we deliberately made things difficult for you. You must know that last time when we helped Poseidon escape, Father grew angry and forced the three of us into a deep sleep."

"If we help you this time, we might be devoured by Father God. With our current divine power, we can only last half a month..."

After saying this, Demeter showed an ironic smile on her kind and beautiful face.

If not for this, Demeter, as a mature and beautiful "aunt," would not have allowed Hades to make this promise. She was a loving goddess in charge of agriculture, grain, and harvest. She was kind, benevolent, and tolerant of all.

Hades nodded, indicating that he understood that indeed, the three women would face great risks if they wished to help him.

"Before that, our dear brother Hades, let your three sisters help you one last time, so that you may have more confidence when facing Father God."

At that moment, the eldest sister Hestia, who had remained silent until now, spoke. She and her two younger sisters looked at each other, then extended their slender hands as white as jade, a pale white halo emerging from their bodies:

"Hades, my dear brother, as the goddess of sacred fire, I wish for you to be protected by light when facing desperate situations."

"Hades, my dear brother, as the goddess of agriculture and harvest, I wish for you to have eternal life no matter where you are."

"Hades, my dear brother, as the goddess of fertility and marriage, I bless you so that your divine power may never end, no matter when and where you are."

After receiving the blessings of the three women, Hades's calm eyes shone with a dark light, and he clearly noticed that three divine powers that did not belong to him had now entered his body. His combat power increased greatly in an instant. Divine power surged endlessly within him.

And in addition to that, there were some other things called "authority."

The three women withdrew their jade-white hands and said:"Alright, Hades, now you may temporarily use the clerical authority of the three of us. We hope this can help you when you face Father God."

"Thank you, my three dear sisters."

Hades nodded and responded with courteous gratitude.

"The next step is to help you escape from Father God's belly..."

The three women looked into the endless darkness at one side, and a flash of determination shone in their beautiful eyes of different colors.
