Chapter 561 - Chapter 559: Old Friends? Gods Appear! (6)

"Goku! Don't be careless!"

Among the group, Piccolo suddenly gave a warning.

Clearly, Piccolo could also tell that Thanos was no ordinary opponent.

Son Goku had already taken the starting stance of the Turtle School and stared seriously at Thanos. After hearing Piccolo's reminder, he replied,

"Yeah! Don't worry, Piccolo. I won't lose."

"Tch!"

Vegeta snorted disdainfully, though his hands were itching to fight.

Saiyans were naturally a warrior race. Whenever they encountered a powerful opponent, they couldn't resist the urge to battle.

"I'm going to attack!"

As soon as Goku finished speaking, his body shot forward like a red bolt of lightning.

This visual effect was created purely by the incredible speed of his movement.

In the next moment,

Goku appeared directly in front of Thanos and threw a punch toward his abdomen.

"Boom!"

The sound of flesh striking flesh rang out.

"Crunch! Crunch! Crunch!"

The tremendous force from Goku's punch forced Thanos to step back several steps before finally stabilizing himself.

However, an attack of that level could not truly injure Thanos.

"Is this what gives you confidence?"

A trace of mockery appeared on Thanos's face as he looked at Goku.

"How disappointing."

At this point, Goku had only recently reached the Super Saiyan stage and was far from his future peak power.

With Thanos's near-invincible defense, a probing punch based purely on physical strength could not injure him.

Of course,

Thanos was not as relaxed as he appeared.

Goku's strength was comparable to the Hulk. Although the punch hadn't truly harmed him, it had still shaken his internal organs.

If he took several more blows like that, even Thanos would start coughing up blood.

"You really are strong!"

Seeing that Thanos remained unharmed, Goku became extremely serious.

"Then I'll have to use my real strength."

As soon as he finished speaking, Goku rushed toward Thanos again.

But this time,

Thanos had no intention of standing there and taking another punch.

Seeing Goku approaching rapidly, Thanos also clenched his fists.

"Boom!"

In the distance, a hillside seemed to collapse, producing a massive explosion.

Fenric, Aurora, and the others were all startled by the loud sound and looked toward the source.

"There seems to be a fight over there."

Aurora's expression turned serious.

"Listen carefully. The vibrations are continuous. It doesn't sound like a normal battle."

Fenric nodded.

His mental power was higher and his hearing far more sensitive. Naturally, he could hear the sounds of battle coming from the front-left direction.

"Should we go take a look?" Zen Master Zen Zendaruth asked.

Everyone turned toward Fenric, waiting for him to decide.

Fenric thought for a moment before shaking his head.

"I don't think we should join the excitement. It's not close to us anyway. And we might run into enemies on the way."

"Our mission is to survive until the end."

That reasoning made sense.

Everyone nodded.

However,

Fenric wanted to avoid trouble, but fate had other plans.

As the group continued forward and arrived at an open clearing, another group suddenly appeared ahead of them.

There were about a dozen people in this group.

Most of them wore long robes, while some were bare-chested. Their clothing style resembled that of Nordic countries in the medieval era.

Combined with their blond hair and blue eyes, they clearly looked like Westerners.

Fenric felt that these people seemed somewhat familiar.

"Shura, what should we do? Should we go around them?" Aurora asked.

She agreed with Fenric's earlier strategy: survive until the end.

Therefore, if a fight could be avoided, it was better to avoid it.

Fenric shook his head.

"I'm afraid that's not possible. They're coming straight toward us."

Aurora looked ahead when she heard this and realized that those people were indeed approaching them.

"Everyone listen to my signal," Fenric said quietly.

"If I say attack, do it immediately. Don't hesitate."

"Understood."

Everyone nodded.

Fenric then whispered to Belle beside him,

"If fighting breaks out later, step back and protect yourself."

Belle knew her strength was the lowest in the group, so she didn't try to be stubborn.

"I understand."

Soon, the group from the opposite side arrived in front of Fenric and the others.

"Mortal, where is this place?"

The leader spoke arrogantly the moment he opened his mouth, his expression full of superiority.

"Mortal?" Fenric's expression turned strange. "Aren't you human?"

"Impudent!"

A bearded man holding a trident shouted angrily.

"Mortal, when you face the great King of Gods, you should kneel while speaking!"

"The King of Gods?"

Fenric finally remembered why these people felt familiar.

They were the gods from Greek mythology!

"Are you Poseidon, the God of the Sea?" Fenric asked while looking at the old man holding the trident.

Poseidon replied proudly,

"You know me? Are you one of my believers?"

Fenric smiled faintly without answering Poseidon's question.

Instead, he looked at Zeus and said,

"We don't know where this place is. Since the moment we opened our eyes, we've been here."

While speaking, Fenric was secretly analyzing the situation.

It seems not only Samsara players like us are restricted—these gods are restricted as well.

Otherwise they wouldn't be walking on the ground like this. They would have already turned into eagles and soared through the sky.

Seeing that Fenric ignored him, Poseidon became somewhat angry.

"Mortal, your rudeness will bring you disaster!"

"Enough, Poseidon!"

Zeus spoke and cast an annoyed glance at his brother.

At a time like this, Poseidon was still worrying about meaningless formalities.

Zeus looked at Fenric and the others again and asked,

"How long have you been here? Have you discovered anything?"

"About half an hour," Fenric replied.

"As for discoveries, you are the first group we've encountered."

"It's the gods," Poseidon corrected.

After hearing Fenric's answer, Zeus stared deeply at Fenric and his companions, especially lingering on Aurora for a moment.

"Since you have encountered us, mortals, this is your fortune."

"From now on, you will become our servants and serve us."

"You will experience the glory of the gods."

Zeus said this with a smile.

In his mind, these mortals would surely accept the offer.

After all, being able to serve the gods was the greatest honor for mortals.

However, Zeus quickly realized something was wrong.

The young man standing opposite him…

his expression was slowly turning cold.

There was no excitement on his face at all.
