"I've already told you," Fenric said evenly. "The world I live in is an unscientific one. Here, anything is possible."
Skynet was quiet for a moment, then her curiosity returned full force. "Master, can you show me Poseidon someday? I want to study the physiology of a god!"
Fenric: "..."
"We'll talk about that if there's ever a chance," he replied casually. Then his tone hardened. "But remember—without my approval, you are not allowed to touch anything here. Understand?"
"Yes, Master. Rest assured, I can't disobey your orders."
Her voice softened as she added pitifully, "But you don't have to be so fierce…" She even pouted, looking every bit like a sulking child.
With this little loli constantly acting spoiled, Fenric could only rub his forehead in exasperation.
He placed the trident back on the shelf.
In his mind, a plan was already forming. Once I get the true Sea God's Trident, I'll use the smart furnace to reshape it into a necklace pendant. That way I won't need to carry it by hand all the time.
Leaving the personal warehouse, Fenric returned to Samsara Square.
Not long after, the system chimed:
"You have a new communication request. 'Male God' invites you to a video call. Please respond promptly."
Fenric winced.
The so-called "Male God" was none other than his friend Jitto. This guy not only turned his character as a pretty boy, but also went and gave himself such a ridiculous nickname.
Still, Fenric accepted the call.
Jitto's pudgy, round face filled the screen.
"Ric! You're out? Amazing! Another super-god evaluation, huh?"
Fenric smiled lightly. "And you? What evaluation did you get?"
At that, Jitto's face reddened. He was clearly pleased but tried to be modest. "Just an A-rank. Nothing compared to you."
"Not bad," Fenric said sincerely.
Surviving in a dungeon like Zombie World War and coming out with an A was no small feat.
"I got lucky," Jitto admitted, his eyes sparkling with pride. "The system assigned me as a police officer at spawn. I raided the police station rooftop, grabbed a bunch of silenced rifles, then barricaded the building and picked off zombies from above!"
Fenric nodded. That was indeed luck on his side.
"It's just a shame my marksmanship is only at 'Beginner.' Too many wasted bullets. If my gun skills were 'proficient,' I might've earned an S-rank evaluation!" Jitto sighed, visibly regretful.
Fenric only smiled and let it pass.
"Oh right!" Jitto suddenly leaned forward, excitement brimming. "Ric, you're in the top ten of the global rankings now! Do you even realize how insane that is?!"
"..."
Fenric paused, then quickly understood—it must have been the trident's power boost.
"Top ten, huh?" he murmured. Even knowing how much stronger the trident was compared to Thor's Hammer, he hadn't expected it would catapult him that far.
"Yeah!" Jitto's voice cracked with excitement. "People are going nuts! They're saying once you clear the 14th floor—the second stage of One Piece—you might get a Devil Fruit. If that happens, your strength could shoot straight into the S-rank!"
"Oh?" Fenric raised a brow. "The 14th floor is One Piece's second stage?"
"Of course! Wait—you didn't know?"
"I only focus on the floor I'm currently on," Fenric replied calmly. "Fatty, tell me what you know about the strategies."
"Uh…" Jitto scratched his head. "I skimmed them a bit, but honestly didn't bother reading in detail. That level's way beyond me anyway."
Fenric nodded. It made sense—while in the safe zone, no one bothered memorizing dungeon strategies they wouldn't reach for years.
"Oh, and another thing!" Jitto's expression turned dark. "Ric, you'd better be careful of those so-called classmates. They're all a pack of white-eyed wolves!"
Fenric chuckled. "What happened?"
"They're selfish bastards!" Jitto growled. "They actually wanted me to ask you for dungeon strategies. I refused. I've cut ties with that group of backstabbers."
Fenric's expression remained calm. With his maturity and life experience, he had long since learned to see through people's selfishness.
"Ric, listen to me," Jitto continued seriously. "If we run into them outside, don't force yourself to help them. Just look after yourself."
Fenric laughed. "Of course. But if it's you, Fatty, I won't stand by and watch."
"Ha! That's enough for me. With a top-ten super expert as my brother, my life's basically guaranteed!"
"Fatty, I'm going to dig into the next dungeon soon. I'll need to ask around for some information first."
"Alright, go handle your business. I'll catch you later."
The call ended.
Fenric didn't have many friends. Aside from Jitto, there were only three girls: Aurora, Belle, and Arke.
Naturally, for dungeon strategies, the best person to ask was Aurora.
But when he checked, she wasn't online—likely busy handling matters in the real world after tonight's events.
"She must be swamped right now," Fenric thought.
So, instead, he sent a video call request to Belle Morwyn.
