After snapping the paper into existence, Akira commanded it to float before Devon, who was sceptical of it at first, before deciding to take it and read it.
As his eyes moved over the written text of the paper, his siblings watched him in curiosity, patiently waiting for him to comment on the contents.
"This isn't what I think it is, is it?" he inquired as soon as he stopped reading.
"Unfortunately for you, it is. To make sure that everyone in this room is on the same page, what my dear big brother read was the one thing that'll bring me back to the top, once and for all," Akira replied.
"Devon, what is written on that piece of paper?" Alec inquired.
"According to this, our Father, who went missing 151 years ago, had written the will and placed everything and everyone under Akira," Devon replied.
"What do you mean by that?" Cassie asked as she ceased smiling.
"It means that when Father dies... Akira is the next demon king candidate... And in a few years, he'll be allowed to fight for his spot as the next demon king..."
Every one of Devon's siblings was shocked. Sweat rolled down Lacy's face, Alec's expression tightened up, but Devon kept calm. Akira snapped his fingers, causing the will to disappear once again.
"It pains me to say it, but unfortunately, you're all below me! Just like it was before you sealed me, just like how it was always meant to be!" Akira exclaimed with a bright smile on his face.
"That has to be a fake. There's no way Father would leave you as the next candidate when he passes," retorted Torsten.
"No, it was real. Father's aura was imprinted onto the text. I could see it myself," replied Devon.
"Now, as much as I like having a full house of those who are below me..." Akira said as he stepped closer with a smile on his face. "I really do want to claim my possessions as soon as possible," he continued. "So, if you would all be so kind as to leave my property, oh and," the smile disappeared. "Return my powers to me."
Silence enveloped the room briefly.
Then, Cassie burst out into laughter, prompting Alec and the rest of the siblings, apart from Fuyu, to laugh out loud.
Akira was dead serious, and his eyes slowly shifted to a darker hue because he felt as if he was being undermined.
"Even if the will speaks true, what makes you think we will return the very same assets that made you a threat?" Alec inquired as he chuckled between his speech.
"Excuse me?" Akira raised an eyebrow.
"You've grown weaker. You managed to take us down in our youth with your abilities, but now that you are without them, you don't stand a chance," said Torsten as he folded his arms.
"He's right. Chances of you winning are slim to none. You're better off being sealed away permanently," added Lacy as he slit his throat with his middle finger.
As their laughs slowly died down, Akira took a deep breath, releasing some of his cold air.
This made everyone feel uneasy and forced them to back away.
It's lucky that they did, because if they hadn't, they would've been caught in Akira's frost, which had travelled and covered half the room.
"I don't need all my powers to take care of all of you insects. Come at me and I'll show you why they named me the demon of chaos!" Akira exclaimed with a sinister smile on his face.
"Tch. Kill him," Devon instructed as he pulled his gloves back.
"With pleasure!" Lady exclaimed as he morphed into a large serpent and slithered towards Akira.
Akira swat his arm, cutting through the air and cutting Lacy's cheek. Lacy closed in and opened his mouth, preparing for the devouring of Akira.
In response, Akira jumped back, faced his palm towards Lacy and blasted him with his frost, causing the entire room to be enveloped in his frost.
The siblings escaped, but Lacy was trapped in the glacier. But, after shaking himself enough, he broke the ice and smacked Akira with his tail.
Akira proceeded to grab the tail and drag Lacy with it. He spun him above him and threw him towards the other siblings.
They all moved aside, forcing Lacy to crash into the table and out through the walls of the next room.
"Damnit. Rose Trap!" Alex exclaimed as he extended his hand and fired a large vine towards Akira.
Torsten stepped in and imbued his mana on the vine, strengthening it and allowing spikes to grow on the side.
On top of that, Devon enchanted it with his mana, allowing it to multiply. Akira guarded his torso and was stabbed by the spikes, which sent him flying straight through the walls, dropping him off outside.
He slid on the blue sand and chuckled maniacally as he stared at the sky. After standing up and cracking his wrists, he wiped the blood off his lips and said, "Let's fucking do this!"
He took a deep breath, held it in place and blasted a huge storm of ice towards his siblings known as "Front Bite."
Devon faced his palms towards the attack and said, "Absolute Cancel," before a blue circle surrounded his hands.
The circle absorbed Akira's large attack and saved the demon siblings.
"That's it!" Kall exclaimed as he put his hands together and gathered his mana. "Cassie!"
"I've got your back, brother," Cassie replied as she did the same.
Suddenly, a chain emerged from the ground and pierced Akira's leg, causing him to groan slightly.
He turned to look at it and couldn't help but smile. Then, more chains emerged and began piercing him on every part of his torso and lower body, causing him to bleed.
Akira coughed up his blood, his throat filled with his own saliva and more blood. In a hoarse voice, he said, "You guys are so boring... Use your own power to defeat me... Oh wait, that's right... You don't have anything original that can match me evenly!"
He began laughing manically, causing the siblings to furrow their eyebrows.
"You won't be laughing once we're done with you!" said Kall.
The chains that stabbed Akira began surrounding him, causing him to gag as one of them wrapped itself around his neck.
Then, an ethereal light began glowing where Akira stood. A magic circle appeared, and its glow grew brighter as the seconds passed.
"Sealing you was a mistake. Today, you're dying and not even the underworld will take you in!" Devon exclaimed.
"Hehe, you're forgetting why I always won our matches, big brother," said Akira as he chuckled.
Akira took a deep breath once again, this time holding his breath for a little longer.
Devon's eyes dilated, and he faced his palms towards Akira once more.
"Hurry up already!" he ordered.
Akira then blew his Frost Bite attack on them, which was now as large as the castle, and Devon managed to cancel it with his ability.
But it took longer due to Akira continuously blowing his cold air. Fuyu watched from the sidelines and bit her lower lip.
'What am I doing...?' she asked herself as she watched Akira from a distance, clenching her fists. 'Isn't it my turn to help him? After all he's done for me...?'
"We're almost there! Make sure he doesn't get his frost on you!" exclaimed Kall.
Fuyu closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She made up her mind and began gathering her mana.
A grey hue surrounded her, and she began speaking in pure Lilim—the demon's tongue.
"Hey!" Alec exclaimed and wrapped one of his vines around Fuyu's neck upon noticing her chanting. "Don't do anything you'll regret, whore!"
Even though she was being choked, she didn't stop chanting her spell. She knew that if she wanted to save Akira, she would have to sacrifice everything, even her own life.
She felt that was a fair deal since she practically owed her life to him.
"Stop it!" Alec wrapped more vines around Fuyu's body, causing her to gag, but the spell was already complete.
She limply raised her hand and pointed at Akira, immediately drawing the attention of Torsten.
He tried dashing in front of Fuyu to prevent her from casting the spell, but because of his sheer weight and body size, he was too slow, and he couldn't reach it in time.
The spell flew like a bullet as soon as Fuyu shot it. Then, it hit Akira on his forehead, forcing him to stop his frost attack and destroying the chains that bound him in the process.
Then, a bright light shot from the surface all the way to the sky, leaving nothing but dust where Akira stood.
"No!" Alec exclaimed as he released Fuyu and stepped closer towards 'Akira's remnants.'
He turned his attention to Fuyu, who was coughing and wheezing for air on the ground and grabbed her by the collar. "Do you have any idea what you've done?!" Alec exclaimed.
"Release her," ordered Devon.
"Brother—"
"I said... release her," Devon cut off Alec with his stern voice.
Alec sucked his teeth and dropped Fuyu, who fell on her butt and looked at Alec with a smirk on her face.
"What are you smiling about?" Cassie inquired. "Your life's about to get a whole lot harder..."
"Hmph. I was counting on it," retorted Fuyu as she stood up. 'No more running... Now that he's free, he can continue his fight.'
