Despite his utter confusion and disbelief over what was happening, Grey listened as Machina, the Goddess, revealed the full picture. Gizelle's heartbreaking plea to finally stop chasing Grey, combined with Machina also overhearing Grey's exhausted wish that Gizelle's request be granted, had moved the Goddess deeply. Machina decided to intervene, offering them one final chance together.
Gizelle confirmed the truth: she possessed the terrifying ability to see the future and repeatedly witnessed her beloved older foster brother being murdered by someone else. She simply chose to pre-empt his painful fate by killing him herself and immediately ending her own life.
"Wait… what did you just say? Foster brother?" Grey asked, stunned.
"Oh, didn't you know, Big Brother? We were together from when you were one and I was a newborn, but it's because your dad and my mom got married after I was born. We're foster siblings, not blood siblings," Gizelle explained.
"Huh… how did I never know that? And how did you know?" Grey asked.
"I read Mom's diary," Gizelle replied.
"I… I see. Then why did you kill me? And follow me through five entire lives just to kill me again?" Grey asked, finally processing the sheer horror.
Gizelle faltered, hanging her head. Machina's voice cut in, detailing the grisly ends Grey had been saved from.
"She saw you die over and over again.
"In your first life, if she hadn't killed you, the next day you were going to be jumped and beaten to death by a gang of thugs who didn't like you hitting on their boss's girlfriend.
"In your second life, that noble girl you were set to marry was planning to drag you into her own mess, which would have ended with you living miserably before being executed by the crown.
"In your third life, your sister shot you down before your actual girlfriend had the chance to do it.
"In your fourth life, your sister deliberately took your throne because if she hadn't, you would have been overthrown and murdered just a few days after her killing you.
"In your fifth life, if you had gone through with marrying that chief's daughter, you and your whole family would have been slaughtered on your wedding day.
"And finally, your Elf husband was only marrying you to gain access to your family's World Tree and was then going to have you executed for conspiracy. That's why your sister ended you. Is it clear now? If not, I can play the footage."
"Ctak." A finger snap echoed. "Bwuuuung." A shimmering golden holographic screen materialized, playing out the agonizing deaths Grey had avoided.
Slowly, Grey turned to Gizelle. Tears welled up. He hadn't realized at all that Gizelle was killing him out of love. "I was wrong; she really isn't the psycho yandere I thought she was." Gizelle, sitting beside him, remained hunched over and anxious.
"Then what about this life?" Grey asked.
"I've been coming out so we could get kicked out of here because the nun who's taking care of you is about to give you to a pastor who is actually a Cherub… I-I'm sorry, Big Brother, I just wanted to fix everything and fix my relationship with you," Gizelle whispered.
"Jleger." Grey's mind went blank. He immediately grabbed Gizelle's shoulders.
"You… you can still see the future?" Grey asked, panicked.
Gizelle nodded and raised her right hand. Grey was startled to see a red string tied to her little finger, which he slowly traced until it was firmly tied around his own right little finger.
"Huh… wh-what is this?" Grey asked, staring at the thread.
"The Red Thread of Destiny. You two are destined to be together. Alright, I must go deal with my own world now. Feel free to use the system I'm leaving for you. Manage your abilities yourself, because you two are already far above average for this world. You just can't defeat everything yet; there are still a few factors that need to be aligned," Machina's voice answered.
"What do you mean?" Grey asked.
"For example, there's no magic in this world, but there's something else you can exploit: the souls consumed by the Shifters and Cherubs. Or, you could transform into them yourself," Machina said.
"Oh… d-do you mean we're going to be like soul-catchers or something?" Grey asked, shivering.
"Hmm… how to explain it… You like watching movies, don't you? Clearly, since I designed your Soul Room like that movie you watched about the giant robots fighting the monsters from the sea," Machina replied.
"Y-yeah, I loved watching movies in my first life because I didn't have any friends," Grey admitted.
"Hey, I was always with you, Big Brother! We watched them together!" Gizelle protested, hugging his arm.
"In the movie, there's a thing about the nuclear energy or whatever being the center of the robot's power, right? That energy is the same thing your body needs, only in a different form. So, in other words, those souls are your energy to get stronger," Machina explained.
"But if we swallow the souls, where do they go?" Grey asked.
"Don't worry about it. I've already set them to be reincarnated in my world," Machina's voice echoed.
"I… I see. Your world… where is that?" Grey asked.
"Your sixth life world. I am the Goddess there and I heard everything your hearts spoke. Well, I've done my duty. Now, make use of the system I've given you. I have to go. We won't meet again unless fate brings us onto the same path. Goodbye, Grey, Gizelle. Take care of yourselves," Machina said.
"Thank you, Goddess Machina. Goodbye. Thank you for staying with me for seventeen years," Gizelle said.
"Y-yeah, thank you, Goddess. (Honestly, I still don't believe any of this, especially my sister claiming she regrets everything and wants to fix our relationship. Can I actually trust my sister? Doubtful.)" Grey added, still bewildered.
"You're welcome. Farewell," Machina replied.
"Ctak." A final finger snap echoed. "Bwuuuung." Two system screens and a holographic keyboard popped up before Grey and Gizelle.

After reading the empty screen, Grey turned to Gizelle.
"We fill this out ourselves… based on our abilities from the five previous lives?" Grey asked.
"Um… looks like it. The Goddess didn't explain this part," Gizelle replied.
"And one more thing that's tripping me up (looking around) This room is clearly a Jaeger cockpit. Do we have to practice walking in sync and move together to make the body work?" Grey asked, totally confused.
"No, of course not, Big Brother! When I'm in here, I just see what you see through those windows—they're your eyes. I just sit here and sometimes sleep on the bed because you never come in," Gizelle said.
"Oh… I see… so it's like… the Hulk then?" Grey asked.
"Hmm… something like that. But not anymore, right? You can come in here, and we can switch freely using the Switch body skill," Gizelle answered.
"Hmph. Okay, thank you. I totally misjudged you all this time, I apologize," Grey said awkwardly.
"Blugh." Suddenly, Gizelle leaped again, tackling Grey onto the bed. She was on top of him, her hair falling around them, breathing raggedly, her mouth wide open in a huge smile, her eyes staring at Grey as if she were about to devour him.
"Okay… I was wrong… she really is a yandere and a psycho… help… how do I get out of here?" Grey thought, terrified.
"Remember this, Big Brother… hah… hah… don't go near any other girl… hah… you belong to me," Gizelle growled.
"Y-yes. (Someone, anyone, please help me.)" Grey replied.
