"You're really engaged?" Minjae asked, his eyes wide and practically sparkling as they walked out of the station together.
"Yeah." Rihan lifted his hand, waving his ringed finger right in Minjae's face. Minjae immediately swooned.
"This is so beautiful. I'm so happy for you," he gushed. "Honestly, I saw this coming. Taeryn is… kind of scary, hehe. You two are a perfect match."
Rihan chuckled. "He's scary?"
"Yeah!" Minjae nodded enthusiastically. "We need to celebrate. Drinks on me?"
"Well," Rihan said dryly, "we just collected my transfer letter since this station is so backward they can't accept emails like logical beings and Doo-hwan wasn't around for proper signing." He spat the name with clear disgust.
Minjae frowned. "I'm glad he wasn't. To be honest, the chief disgusts me too. But let's not talk about work." He sighed dramatically. "I'm already sad we won't be partners anymore, and you're moving away. So... drinks are on me, okay?"
