Chapter 684 - Chapter 683 — Departure

"Deathcium Slash!"

Flames burst from the eyes of Beliarok, flaring three times in rapid succession.

From Belial's body, from the surrounding air, and from Beliarok itself, the energy required for the attack converged violently onto the blade.

In the next instant, he flashed directly in front of Greeza.

Slash after slash followed.

Unlike Z's flashy Z-shaped finisher in the original timeline, Belial's technique was brutally efficient. His strikes were merciless, his blade speed terrifying. In the blink of an eye, hundreds of cuts were carved into Greeza's body.

Once the barrage ended, Belial immediately pulled back, widening the distance between them.

Everyone turned to look.

Greeza's body was now covered in glowing gashes. It trembled violently, dark crimson arcs of electricity crawling across its form as if it were making a final, desperate struggle.

But after suffering so many cuts, there was no possibility of survival.

In the original timeline, Greeza had been doomed after just three Deathcium Slashes. To think it could survive this was nothing but wishful thinking.

A thunderous explosion followed.

Flames filled the sky.

At Greeza's location, a magnificent detonation erupted, countless sparks scattering in all directions. Entire sections of nearby buildings vanished outright, as if erased by spatial distortion.

Worthy of a Void Monster—even in death, it inflicted massive damage upon its surroundings.

"Finally… it's over."

Haruki let out a long breath of relief. Juggler did the same.

The ones most worried about this Earth had always been the two of them.

One was a native of this planet.

The other was the captain of STORAGE.

Juggler had no intention of letting Earth be destroyed while he was still in charge.

"So this is the so-called Hole of the Universe? Hah! I cut it down just fine!"

Beliarok spoke smugly, practically wagging an invisible tail.

Belial said nothing. Beliarok's personality suited him perfectly.

After all, the sword carried his factor—albeit from the time he had once been possessed.

Thus, Belial had no intention of returning Beliarok to Z or Haruki. Instead, he turned and said calmly to Z:

"This sword… is not something a young man like you can handle."

"…That's true."

Z nodded without protest.

Beliarok's temperament simply didn't match his own. Haruki, on the other hand, might get along with it far better.

Besides, wielding this sword was practically like fighting while holding Belial's head. Realistically speaking, the only one who could use it properly was Belial himself.

As for compensation, Belial had already given Haruki a medal earlier—though not Black Belial's, but White Belial's.

For the moment, Belial had nothing else suitable to offer Z. He would make it up to him later.

After all, Beliarok had been retrieved from within Greeza by Z himself.

Seeing this, Yuzhou's figure gradually faded away.

Moments later, he awoke from the dream.

Stretching lazily, he looked up at the Ultramen flying off into the sky and said nothing.

Greeza was defeated.

Everyone went their separate ways.

This was Yuzhou's first-time seeing Juggler transform into Tiga and fight. All things considered, it was… acceptable.

It was just that Greeza was a special case—there had been little room for Juggler to truly perform.

"…Looks like I'll need to change houses again."

With a sigh, Yuzhou left his utterly barren residence behind.

Haruki's father was utterly bewildered after waking up and learning that he had arrived in the future.

At first, he thought it was all a lie.

That was until he returned home with Haruki and saw his wife—now visibly older—and, on the altar, his own memorial photo.

"…Am I dead?"

Staring at the black-and-white portrait, Haruki's father froze.

"Yes—ah, no!" Haruki nodded instinctively, then immediately shook his head. "Dad, you're not dead!"

"I'm not dead? Then what's that supposed to be?"

He pointed at the memorial photo.

"That's because we thought you had died. In reality, you were brought to this time by Senior Yuzhou."

Haruki struggled to explain.

"And who is this Senior Yuzhou?"

His father was still completely lost. After all, the time travel had happened while he was unconscious.

"Uh… one of my seniors," Haruki replied.

"…I need a moment."

Haruki's father sat down heavily, sinking into deep thought.

Seeing her husband standing there alive, Haruki's mother thought she was dreaming.

She pinched her face, then her leg.

It hurt.

Tears welled up, yet she didn't know what to say.

Ten years ago, after being separated from her husband, she had received the news that he had died under a monster's feet.

If someone claimed he had merely been missing and returned, she would never have believed it.

Because the man before her…

He was exactly the same as he had been ten years ago.

Not a day older.

Even his clothes hadn't changed.

"Haruki—where did you find your father?!"

Gripping Haruki's hands tightly, tears streaming down her face, she asked urgently.

"A mysterious senior saved him by traveling through time."

Haruki avoided specifics, substituting "mysterious senior" for Yuzhou.

As for time travel—he wasn't sure whether his mother would believe it.

"So… this means your father is the version from ten years ago?"

To Haruki's surprise, his mother accepted the idea without hesitation.

But then again—if this wasn't a miracle, what was?

"Yes. That senior said he pulled Dad out from under a monster's feet."

Haruki nodded.

"He's just… having trouble accepting reality right now."

"It's fine, it's fine!" she cried through her tears. "As long as he's alive!"

She quickly removed the incense burner and the memorial photo from the altar.

With the person still alive, those things no longer belonged there.

"Let Dad take his time adjusting," Haruki said.

He knew this kind of shock would require time—time to accept not only family relationships, but also a world that had changed drastically over ten years.

Yuzhou had changed residences.

Belial and Riku also bid farewell to everyone and departed from Earth.

Staying any longer would interfere with their progress in resolving the Devil Fragment incident. It was time to set sail once more.

They also took the alternate-version Belial with them.

According to Riku, the plan was to correct that Belial's worldview—to guide him back onto the right path.
