After getting up from the sand, Yu Zhou dusted himself off and gestured for Asuka to try again.
Asuka, ever obedient, nodded and agreed. His body glowed as he extended both hands toward Yu Zhou, channelling energy into him.
This time, the energy didn't explode and send Yu Zhou flying like before. Instead, it flowed smoothly into Yu Zhou's body—silent, steady, and powerful, like a river merging with the sea.
Standing still, Yu Zhou could feel the flow of power coursing through him. The energy Asuka transferred contained the strength of Strong Type and the essence of Miracle Type.
The Strong Type wasn't particularly different from his own Power Type—it was raw might. But the Miracle Type, now that was something special.
Not only did it grant multiple supernatural abilities, it could also absorb other forms of energy and convert them into its own strength.
The most terrifying among them was the Revolium Wave—a beam that, once it hit its target, would create a miniature energy black hole, sucking the enemy inside.
Whoever got caught in it… well, whether they lived or died inside that black hole wasn't Yu Zhou's concern.
Yu Zhou figured Dyna's ability to traverse dimensions might have evolved from this very power. Perhaps it was also influenced by Spheres, the final boss that shaped Dyna's destiny.
In any case, gaining the Miracle Type's power meant Yu Zhou's arsenal just got a serious upgrade.
Once the transfer was complete, Yu Zhou felt his entire body lighten—his energy felt balanced, rejuvenated. He crossed his hands at his forehead, swept them outward to both sides, and his form shifted into silver and blue.
"Asuka, did it work?" Yu Zhou asked, his voice calm but expectant.
"It must have, senpai! Let's see!" Asuka said eagerly.
Yu Zhou raised one hand toward a nearby rock jutting out of the beach and fired a concentrated beam of light.
The light stream struck the rock—not shattering it, but forming a dark vortex behind it. The suction force pulled the rock straight into the black hole.
Asuka's eyes widened in awe. "That's the Revolium Wave!"
Yu Zhou looked down at his body, surprised to find the transformation stable. The colours didn't fade, and he could clearly sense the two clusters of energy Asuka had given him.
They were slowly integrating—becoming part of his own power.
That's how Tiga once absorbed the energies of Hudra and Darramb—by converting foreign power into his own light.
And the Miracle Type wasn't limited to just that devastating light stream.
Yu Zhou focused. A flash burst from his chest timer, and suddenly two more Yu Zhous stepped out of his body.
"Ha! It worked!" Yu Zhou grinned. "Now this, I like. The more hands, the better the fight."
"That's the Miracle Type's duplication ability!" Asuka exclaimed, thrilled to see his mentor succeed.
It seemed his energy transfer truly worked.
"So, this is what you meant by 'borrowing power,' huh, senpai?" he said with admiration.
Yu Zhou nodded. "Exactly. And by the way, remember what I told you before—don't lend power to Gai."
Asuka blinked. "Uh… Gai? You mean Kurenai Gai? Why not?"
Yu Zhou sighed. "Yeah, that guy. He never pays back what he borrows. Owes half the Light Kingdom by now."
"Eh? He's that bad?" Asuka asked, half amused.
"Oh, absolutely. Most of his debts are to the Land of Light itself." Yu Zhou crossed his arms.
Asuka looked up at the sky thoughtfully. "I really want to visit the Land of Light someday."
"You'll get the chance," Yu Zhou said, clapping him on the shoulder before cancelling his transformation.
Once Asuka also returned to normal, the two of them left the quiet beach and made their way back to the Crystal Palace.
Though Asuka enjoyed his time in R'lyeh, he was still a member of the Super Victory Team, and couldn't stay too long.
Yu Zhou had only asked Captain Hibiki for a two-day leave on his behalf.
When that time was up, Asuka had to return.
Still, with the Miracle Type power now integrated, Yu Zhou felt noticeably stronger.
Even if nothing else, the duplication ability alone was more than worth it.
In the original Ultraman Dyna, the Miracle Type could produce two clones at most.
But Yu Zhou's energy reserves were far beyond the norm. By his calculations, he could probably split into seven or eight clones without breaking a sweat.
And as for the Revolium Wave—Yu Zhou found it downright broken.
If he ever faced a monster he couldn't defeat head-on, one hit from that beam and the target would be swallowed by a black hole.
Problem solved.
He couldn't help but chuckle. "Man, the Heisei Trio really got all the good stuff."
Tiga, Dyna, and Gaia—each of them had incredible abilities.
"Wait a sec…" Yu Zhou paused mid-thought. "The 'Heisei Trio' actually has four, doesn't it?"
Tiga, Dyna, Gaia… and of course, Agul.
"Maybe the term refers to the three series rather than the number of Ultramen," he mused.
"Still, poor Agul always gets left out…"
Like in Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Brothers—Hiroya Fujimiya appeared, but Agul himself never showed.
Even in Ultra 10 Warriors, Gaia got captured by the villain, but where was Agul?
Speaking of villains…
The so-called "Yellow Minion," the Super-Dimensional Demon God, Etelgar—he was absurdly powerful, sealing away countless Ultramen.
Not just Tiga, Dyna, and Gaia, but also Cosmos, Max, Nexus, and Mebius.
Yu Zhou frowned. "Wait—if he caught Tiga and Dyna… which versions were those? Daigo and Asuka, or alternates from other timelines?"
After checking past data, he realized—yeah, they were those ones.
"Still," he muttered, "if Gaia got caught, Agul should've helped him. Why didn't he appear at all?"
Etelgar's name prefix meant "Super-Dimensional," implying time-space traversal.
A foe like that was seriously troublesome.
"Then again," Yu Zhou smirked, "Charija can travel through time and space too… just not very reliably."
Ever since that Chern alien incident was resolved, the Monster Battle Arena project had gone offline.
Charija had been utterly bored since then—either feeding sea monsters at the shore or browsing the internet.
Mostly gaming. He'd definitely become addicted.
Just then, Yu Zhou's phone buzzed.
Speak of the devil. Charija had sent a string of frantic messages.
"You won't believe what I just found!!!"
"A super exciting game!!!"
"I swear I've never played anything this thrilling in my life!"
"It's AMAZING!!"
"Here, look at this screenshot!!"
A photo followed.
Yu Zhou sighed, smiling helplessly, and tapped to open it.
His smile froze.
The game title read:
"Attack the City – One Slash, 999!"
Yu Zhou: "…Oh, great," he sighed. "He's discovered mobile ads."
