Chapter 311 - Chapter 311: The Three-Minute Black Hand

Charija: "..."

By the way, Yuzhou hasn't even been playing the game for that long, has he?

How did he even get that ridiculously powerful Kun?

But…

Looking at Tiga Ultraman on Yuzhou's screen, Charija suddenly realized that the Kun wasn't such a big deal after all.

Following Charija's guidance, Yuzhou logged onto the game forum and found it was indeed quite lively.

Don't these players care that they had just survived an apocalypse?

Opening the pinned forum post, he saw it was an event posted by a big-shot player.

The event stated: players who could last three minutes under Ultraman Tiga would receive a set of ultra-strong monster data for creating their own monsters.

"Three minutes…" Yuzhou stroked his chin, thinking for a moment. "Why specifically three minutes?"

Typically, the time an Ultraman can operate on Earth is three minutes.

The organizer specifying that players must survive three minutes under Tiga implied something:

They wanted to see which monster could endure the full time Tiga can operate on Earth.

Although Yuzhou himself wasn't limited by Earth's three-minute time constraint, the event still caught his attention.

Refreshing the forum, he saw a newly posted comment: someone had lasted 2 minutes 59 seconds under Ultraman Tiga.

Clicking it revealed a screenshot of the opponent Yuzhou had just defeated.

A truly unfortunate player.

"OP, you're so unlucky!"

"Yeah, as the person above said, if you'd lasted just one more second, you'd have gotten the reward!"

"Most tragic player in history."

"Honestly, making it this far is a miracle!"

"What miracle? Seems OP has some skill!"

"Yeah, maybe even a pro!"

Comments under the post varied: some sympathized with the player, some thought him tragic, and some admired his skill.

After all, lasting 2 minutes 59 seconds made him the first in history.

Seeing the post, Yuzhou turned to Charija and thought for a moment.

"Here, log in—I'll give you three minutes."

Yuzhou felt that something about this forum event was off.

So, he decided to let Charija try it out, to see what the original poster was capable of.

"Sure!"

Charija beamed when Yuzhou said this.

He pulled a computer from his umbrella and logged into his account.

Once Charija logged in, Yuzhou glanced at the screen—it was the same monster as before: a fusion of Golza, Zoiger, and King Guesra.

After devouring Yuzhou's Kun, it had reached an incredible level of strength.

Additionally, Charija's rank was roughly the same as Yuzhou's current rank.

After all, Yuzhou had been slaughtering opponents quickly, causing his rank to soar.

"Let's press the match button at the same time. That way, we're more likely to get matched against each other."

Yuzhou suggested.

"Good idea." Charija nodded, agreeing.

In this monster fighting game, matches were completely random. Only by pressing the match button simultaneously could they have a chance of matching each other.

Without hesitation, the two pressed the match button after a three-second countdown.

Instantly, matches were found.

However, they weren't matched against each other.

Yuzhou got a bird-headed monster, while Charija got a bear-shaped monster.

"No problem, we'll try again after this."

Yuzhou didn't mind and picked up the controller, diving into the fight.

Charija nodded too. His monster was already extremely strong, and after devouring Yuzhou's Kun, it had grown countless times stronger.

This kind of opponent was virtually unbeatable unless he disconnected.

Suddenly, Charija's screen went black, and a box popped up:

"No Signal Connection."

Charija: "..."

(╬ ̄皿 ̄)

"Crap, disconnected."

Charija looked both furious and anxious. His monster had already reached a peak after devouring the Kun.

If he lost due to a disconnection, it would be a complete disaster.

Yuzhou turned and stared at Charija's black screen, speechless for a moment.

Boom!

On Yuzhou's screen, the opponent's monster exploded under a Rampart Light Bullet, turning into light particles absorbed by Tiga's color-coded timer.

"Reconnect and try again."

Yuzhou logged out of his account and told Charija.

Clearly, Charija cared deeply about this game. Losing his monster due to a disconnect would have made him explode in rage.

Seeing Yuzhou get up, Charija wasted no time, sat at the computer, and reconnected.

Soon, he returned to the battle screen.

Glancing at the health bar, Charija let out a sigh of relief.

His monster had only lost one-tenth of its health.

So, in the time he had been disconnected, the opponent had barely scratched his monster's health.

But looking at the opponent's health bar—two-thirds were gone?!

"Charija, does your monster fight automatically?"

Yuzhou asked, surprised.

Clearly, in the brief disconnect period, the opponent's health dropped so much—it couldn't have been anything else but damage.

"No…" Charija shook his head. "After devouring your Kun, it evolved a counter-damage effect."

"Nice, nice."

Yuzhou nodded. His Kun had really added some fun for Charija.

Without a computer, Charija couldn't continue the match.

Yuzhou called Hudra over to deliver a computer to Charija.

But Hudra didn't leave. After delivering the computer, he stayed in Yuzhou's room, curious about what the two were playing.

Yuzhou and Charija tried matching a few more times. Though they didn't get matched against each other, the battles during this period completely captivated Hudra.

"This game actually looks pretty good!"

Hudra rubbed his chin, watching Yuzhou's screen with genuine interest.

"There's even a Tiga character—you think there could be a Hudra character too?"

Hudra stood beside Yuzhou and asked.

"Huh?" Yuzhou was surprised by Hudra's enthusiasm. "If you want one, I guess there could be."

"Why don't you try and see?"

Seeing Hudra so intrigued, Yuzhou suggested.

"Alright!"

Hudra eagerly sat in Yuzhou's chair, picked up the controller, and Yuzhou helped him press the match button.
