Without warning, Zabuza vanished into the mist, his voice haunting them from all directions. "Let's see how good you really are, Copy Ninja Kakashi."
Kakashi's Sharingan activated, his eye spinning as he scanned for Zabuza's movements. "Stay close to Tazuna and be ready for anything," he ordered Team 7.
The battle commenced with Zabuza's sudden appearance behind Kakashi, swinging his massive sword. Kakashi barely managed to block the attack, the force sending shockwaves through the ground. They clashed in a fierce exchange of blows, steel ringing through the mist.
Meanwhile, Zabuza's water clones attacked Tazuna. Sasuke, Naruto, and Ryuga quickly formed a defensive line, protecting the bridge builder.
"Don't let them get to Tazuna!" Sasuke shouted, as he intercepted one of the clones with a flurry of shuriken.
Naruto, determined to prove himself, created multiple shadow clones. "Take this! Shadow Clone Jutsu!" His clones swarmed another water clone, engaging in a chaotic battle.
Ryuga focused his energy. "Wind Release: Gale Palm!" A powerful gust of wind blasted another water clone, dispersing it into droplets.
Kakashi and Zabuza's battle intensified, both shinobi displaying their exceptional skills. Zabuza attempted to trap Kakashi in his Water Prison Jutsu, but Kakashi anticipated the move and evaded, countering with a swift strike from his kunai.
"You're good, but not good enough to defeat me," Zabuza sneered, forming hand seals rapidly. "Water Release: Water Dragon Jutsu!"
A massive water dragon surged toward Kakashi, who quickly countered with the same jutsu, creating an equally powerful water dragon. The two dragons collided, creating a spectacular explosion of water that drenched the battlefield.
As Kakashi and Zabuza clashed, Team 7 faced increasing pressure from the relentless water clones. Sakura stayed close to Tazuna, determined to protect him at all costs.
"Sasuke, Naruto, Ryuga, we have to keep them away from Tazuna!" she called out, her kunai ready.
Sasuke nodded, launching a barrage of fireballs. "Fire Release: Fireball Jutsu!" The intense flames incinerated a few water clones, turning the tide momentarily.
Ryuga, feeling the urgency, unleashed his chakra. "Rasengan!!" His Rasengan smash through the water clones with ease.
Naruto, inspired by his teammates, summoned more shadow clones to overwhelm the remaining clones. "Take this, you fake ninjas!"
The battle reached a critical point as Kakashi managed to gain the upper hand against Zabuza. With a swift move, he pinned Zabuza down, ready to deliver the final blow.
"Your reign of terror ends here, Zabuza."
Just as Kakashi was about to strike, a senbon needle flew through the air, piercing Zabuza's neck. Zabuza's body went limp, and a masked figure appeared, dressed in the attire of a Hunter Ninja.
"Thank you for your help," the Hunter Ninja said in a soft, almost feminine voice. "I've been tracking Zabuza for a long time. I'll take his body from here."
Kakashi, surprised by the sudden turn of events, stepped back, allowing the Hunter Ninja to take Zabuza. "You did well," he said, turning to his team. "But don't let your guard down."
As the Hunter Ninja disappeared into the mist with Zabuza's body, Kakashi turned to Tazuna. "Let's move. We need to secure the bridge and ensure Tazuna's safety."
Team 7, though exhausted, nodded in agreement. They had faced their first major battle together and emerged victorious, but the mission was far from over. The threat of Gato and his men still loomed, and they had to stay vigilant.
