Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Shadows of Concern

In the sterile confines of the hospital ward, Naruto and Ryuga lay resting, their injuries tended to by skilled medical ninjas. Kushina, their mother, arrived in a flurry of worried energy, her maternal instincts in overdrive as she rushed to her sons' sides.

"Minato!" Kushina exclaimed, her voice a mix of concern and frustration. "How could you let this happen? You should have appointed ANBU to watch over them while they were training in the forest!"

Minato, his expression grave, could only offer a silent nod of acknowledgement. He knew that Kushina was right, that he had failed in his duty as a father and a leader to ensure his sons' safety. The guilt weighed heavily on his shoulders as he watched over Naruto and Ryuga, their faces peaceful in sleep despite the injuries they had sustained.

Outside the hospital room, Minato and Kakashi held a solemn discussion, their voices low as they spoke of the dangers that threatened their village and their loved ones.

"Who do you think is targeting Naruto and Ryuga?" Kakashi inquired, his eyes narrowing with suspicion.

Minato sighed heavily, the weight of his responsibilities pressing down upon him. "I'm not sure, Kakashi. But last time Naruto was lured into the forest, it was by outsiders who knew about Ryuga's Ice Release. Orochimaru has connections to the Sound Village, and it's possible he's involved somehow."

Kakashi nodded, his gaze thoughtful. "It's also possible that someone within Konoha is leaking information to our enemies. Our borders are guarded, so they must have found another way in."

Minato's jaw clenched with determination. "I'll speak to the Third Hokage about this. We need to strengthen our defences and root out any traitors within our ranks. Our village's safety depends on it."

As they parted ways, Minato and Kakashi shared a silent understanding. The shadows of concern loomed over them, but they would not rest until they had unravelled the mystery of who was targeting Naruto and Ryuga, and ensured that Konoha remained safe from harm.
