"Innate Soul Power level 7." Su Yuntao muttered in disbelief as he stared at the Crystal Sphere 🔮.
"Alas." He continued. "If only your Martial Soul is anything but Blue Silver Grass. Your potential would've been much greater than mine." He admitted stunning the children present.
As the children murmured in envy and jealousy he continued.
"Although your Blue Silver Grass gained a positive mutation and gave you soul power. It is known as the most useless Martial Soul.
How much you can improve depends on your determination and luck. I'll leave a soul master certificate for you with your Village chief.Â
If you wish to learn and cultivate, join the academy." Su Yuntao said generously while taking the crystal sphere back.
Tang san just nodded obediently without speaking and followed everyone to the outside.Â
The Village chief Jack who was waiting outside anxiously, like a husband waiting for his wife's delivery, noticed Su Yuntao come out.
He approached Su Yuntao but seeing him with the expression of disappointment, he clenched his fists with unwillingness as he understood the meaning.Â
But still he couldn't help but ask as he put on a mask of enthusiasm and anxiousness. "Grandmaster Su Yuntao, are there any children who Awakened a good Martial Soul with soul power."
Su yuntao slowly shook his head. "Except for one child who managed to awaken innate soul power level 7, there is no one who Awakened soul power." He replied.Â
As the words fell Jack felt overjoyed for a bit, then got puzzled why the expression of the young man looked disappointed. He was just about to ask the details when the young man continued.Â
"Alas, if only the boy's awakened Martial Soul wasn't blue silver grass, he would've achieved so much."
Jack, hearing this got shocked at first but then stopped caring,as it didn't matter to him what the Martial Soul is, so long as they can cultivate a Soul Master from their village it's all worth it.
"I'll issue a soul master certificate and give it to you, come with me." Su Yuntao said as he walked ahead.
Jack quickly dispersed the kids and followed after, Su Yuntao.
Shortly after Su Yuntao gave the certificate to Jack and left.Â
'It's weird, I feel like that boy's Martial Soul feels different somehow. And his innate Soul Power adigaru didn't make sense. Am I missing something?' Su Yuntao thought as he was leaving the village in a carriage.
Meanwhile, Tang San came back home and showed his Martial Soul to his father.Â
"Father, I have one more.." he said as his father looked melancholic but dismissive about it.
The moment Tang Hao heard his son's words and turned around, he saw a small hammer appear on his son's other hand, 'the Clear Sky Hammer.' he exclaimed in his head.Â
He took his son's hand and held it tightly as tears streamed from his eyes.
'Twin Martial Soul, as I thought our son really inherited both our legacies, Yin'er.' He thought as he cried.
Tang san seeing his father who only ever showed anger, cried. He got Shocked and stayed in place but shortly after he felt his hand couldn't hold the hammer as it is getting heavier by the second.Â
"Tang San remember, you must protect the Blue Silver Grass in your right hand with the hammer in your left hand." He said not noticing his son's predicament.
Tang San nodded solemnly and agreed readily, only then did Tang Hao notice his son's pale face and told him to retrieve his Martial Soul.
'Weak. How could my son be so weak?' Tang Hao thought as he looked at his struggling and pale-faced son, completely forgetting, it's his own fault that his son is malnourished.
"Xiao San, remember you should never reveal your hammer before I tell you to and don't attach soul rings to it." Tang hao said solemnly as Tang San nodded.
'Spirit Hall, your days are numbered, my son will definitely help me avenge the old grudges.' He thought.
Tang Hao looked at his son, for the first time he looked pleasant to his eyes.Â
Deciding to have some bonding time he started teaching him the proper way of blacksmithing.
Time passed and evening came, Tang San and Tang Hao finished dinner and left to their beds respectively.
Tang San sat crosslegged on the bed and started cultivating. As he began thinking about the knowledge that was shared by old man jack.
'So, internal qi is called soul power in this world. And every 10 level bottle neck something called a soul ring is needed to level up further.Â
I'm still 3 levels behind that mark, I still have 3 months before I can join the academy. I'll strive to cultivate to level 10 before that.
But it's still weird, how come my Mysterious Heaven Technique is still moving so slow?Â
Although it seems to have sped up after the Martial Soul awakening,I don't know if it can keep up with my needs.' Tang san thought.
Tang Hao who's actually watching from the dark, noticing his son's diligence, teared up and went to the back mountain and knelt near the blue silver grass and started drinking and talking to himself.
Eventually Tang Hao got too drunk and fell asleep near the patch of Blue Silver Grass, which is very similar to the tang san's Martial Soul, having a few streaks of Silver Lining on it.
The blue silver grass swayed its leaves with the wind and stood unresponsive to Tang hao's rambling, until he feel asleep.
Only then a branch discreetly moved to his face and slapped him with everything it had, but unfortunately, it could do no damage to the man.Â
Frustrated, it slapped him a few more times before coming back in position in a daze.
…Â
The sounds of clanging are heard as a boy is hitting iron with a hammer, processing it and guiding its shape.
Slowly the metal took form and the boy excitedly cooled it down and took it to his room before assembling it.
"Silent sleeve arrow. I finally made it. With this I have some security if things go south." Tang san thought as he recalled an inexplicable fear crept into his heart that afternoon.
As if a force that can plunge his very fate into Oblivion is on its way.
"It took me 2 months to reach level 8, at this rate it will take at least half a year before i can reach level 10.Â
I wonder if there's a way to speed up this process? No, I shouldn't rely on external forces too much, I must cultivate diligently." Tang San mused as he tried to distract himself and started cultivating again.Â
Days passed and the day of departure arrived, Tang Hao acted drunk as his son said goodbye.Â
Tang san boarded the carriage with Village Chief Jack and left the village. Shortly after Tang Hao stood up, tidied up a bit and followed after his son wearing a cloak covering his head.
As the carriage approached the Notting Academy, Old man Jack and Tang San had stepped down and were about to enter the academy when they got stopped by the gate keepers.Â
"Halt, what business do you have here?" the guard asked.Â
Old man Jack took out the soul master certificate issued by the Spirit Hall and handed it over to the guard.
"We are here to let this boy join the academy as a work study Student." Old man Jack replied.
The guard, seeing the certificate, was shocked at first and started laughing as he showed it to his companion.Â
"What nonsense, Blue Silver Grass and it has soul power of level 7? This certificate is definitely forged." the other guard said as he read what's on it with a grim expression.
A commotion started As the guard started insulting the old man and their rugged clothes,as he didn't believe the old man no matter how much he told him about the certificate not being fake.
Tang san who is angry and about to take action suddenly halted as a magnetic voice made both the guards stiffen.
"What's going on, what's this commotion about?" The voice asked, making the guard stiffen.
