Chapter 32 - Chapter 31

Fanso province, Holy Soul Village.

A young boy is sitting cross legged on a mission top, staring at the sun, absorbing its brilliant purple radiance.

Shortly after the sun's purple radiance is gone, the boy is forced to close his eyes and end his purple demon eyes cultivation.

he started cultivating, the mysterious heaven technique, internal qi swirled and moved in his nervousness albeit at a low efficiency.

Despite the slower progress, the young boy cultivated without giving up, hours passed like this before the sun which had just risen from the east was on top of his head.

The boy slowly opened his eyes and sighed.

"Ever since that laugh that disrupted me a few months ago my cultivation progress is slowed down.

At this rate it will take at least 3 to 4 years before I can complete the first layer." The boy thought out loud as he sighed and stood up.

'Sigh, let's go cook for father, he might get angry if I'm late.' he thought as he looked ahead and started using the Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track.

The boy, despite being scrawny and malnourished, traversed the mountainous terrain with near practiced ease as he dodged the rocks and the bushes left and right.

He reached the fit of the mountain shortly after,he was slightly panting after the exercise, feeling somewhat breathless.

'Am I even using the same technique as my previous life? Why am I out of breath for this small exercise?' He thought as he took a break near the foot of the mountain.

After catching his breath he shook his head firmly believing it's his inability to cultivate fast enough, causing the issues.

He looked around and seeing no one around he ran back to his house normally, seeing his Father drunk and asleep, he heaved a sigh of relief and started cooking porridge.

As he was cooking he failed to notice his drunk and unconscious father, opening his eyes slightly to look at him for a second before closing his eyes again.

Time passed as the boy finished cooking and brought the steaming hot porridge over to his father and put it on his table and tried to wake him up gently, but couldn't no matter how much he tried.

The boy sighed and covered the porridge with a lid, after taking his portion, drank it slowly, cleaned the utensils and left the house again.

Only then did the drunken man open his eyes and look at the porridge cup and start eating it.

He finished it in 2 full gulps and took the rest of the porridge in the cooking pot and poured it into his cup and started finishing it as well.

Then he wiped his mouth and slept on the table again. With no concern about the unclean utensils.

The boy went back to exercise again, and started training his marksmanship and throwing skills with the stones.

But no matter how much he tried he can only buy the Bulls eye once every 10 times. Frustrating him.

Deciding to take time off he went on a walk around the village.

"Tang san."

Just then someone called out to the boy.

Tang san turned his head and looked at the old man who called out to him.

The hunched old man came over, took out a piece of bread and gave it to him.

"Xiao San, you should eat more, after all you are a growing boy. Taking care of yourself is also important, don't just fall into taking care of your father and further about yourself." Jack said kindly.

Tang San reluctantly took the bread and nodded, despite his stomach protesting against him.

"Thank you, grandpa Jack, I'm going to eat and play by myself." He said and bowed slightly before walking away.

The village chief Jack started at the retreating back of the boy and sighed, shaking his head.

"This child is too sensible, and withdrawn. If only he acted more to his age, then I wouldn't have to worry about him so much, Alas." He said to himself aloud, then left back home.

Unknown to Village chief Jack, two people heard his words and their mouths twitched at the same time.

'What do you mean by "act" my own age? In a Reborn person who lived for almost 30 years, what's wrong with me behaving a little mature?' Tang san complained as he overheard what Jack said.

'It's really strange, at first I thought it's good that he is sensible but the more I look at him and the more I look at his behaviour, the more he doesn't resemble me, or Ah Yin.

Ah Yin is gentle and loyal, she would never betray me, so what is going on with this son of mine?

Sigh, whatever, xiao san you have one year to prove yourself to me, if your skills are useless and your Martial Soul is trash. I would clean up the "house" myself.

I, Tang Hao, don't need a useless son, I need a son who can help me take revenge against those who wronged my clan, and Ah Yin.' Tang hao thought as he observed his son from the dark, while his fist clenched as he recalled the past.

Tang san walked to a clearing, took the bread in both hands and tore it in half and stored the bigger half while eating the smaller one.

After eating the bread, he tried to practice and his marksmanship improved slightly.

From being able to hit once in ten times, it went up to twice in ten times.

Tired he started walking back home and reached the entrance when he heard the sound of clanging, understanding his father was working, he slipped into the kitchen without making an effort not to disturb him.

Tang san quickly made dinner and left the bread to his father and placed it on the table and waited for his father.

Shortly after the clanging stopped and after dinner rustling sounds Tang hao can't tu the table, looked at the dinner table and started eating while chugging down wine.

It's only after Tang hao finished eating and left did Tang san start eating the leftover dinner.

Just as Tang san cleared up the plates and took the bed to rest, he felt an intense restlessness, like something connected to him is forcibly being pulled away from him.

He suddenly vomited blood and fainted.

Tang hao noticing this rushed over and checked his son's condition, only to notice nothing is wrong with his body.

'This is the second time he coughed up blood, is something wrong with him?' He thought.

Tang hao, though still confused, wiped the blood from his son's mouth and tucked him in the bed and went to bed himself. Not caring about the situation anymore.

Days passed like this until an announcement from Heaven Dou Imperial City even reached the villages.

Tang hao who is in the nearby notting city heard a conversation.

"Did you guys know? It seems there is a newly crowned Prince. And a title douluo in our Empire?" said passerby A.

"That's right, the Title-Douluo is called Radiant Swan Douluo. And the boy who is crowned as the Prince, is titled Prince Tianlong.

I heard the new prince is pretty strong." said passerby B.

Tang hao who is hearing this conversation is momentarily stunned.

"It can't be 'that' woman right?" He gulped as he thought of a certain reckless woman who likes to cut people.

Then dismissed the thought. "No it must be someone else, or this news might be fake." He thought, comforting himself before leaving the area.

. . .

Time passed and a new guest arrived in the village.

A man with blonde hair and brown eyes, wearing a white dress with gold lining and wolf patterns on it is walking with an old man escorting him to the soul palace branch in the village.

"Master Su Yuntao, please wait, I'll gather the children over." the old man said as he bowed slightly.

The young man nodded slightly while lifting the old man.

"There is no need for old man jack to bow. Please bring the children over quickly, I have to go to other villages as well." The young man said humbly.

Jack, seeing the young man act so humble and patient, got overjoyed and quickly left.

Shortly after gathering everyone Jack went to Tang san's home and knocked.

"Tang san, it's time for your Martial Soul Awakening. Come out." he called out.

A drunken tang hao hearing the commotion caused by Jack got and and protested but eventually agreed, letting tang san go.

Tang San followed Jack doing with other children and quickly arrived at the soul palace branch hall and saw the spirited young man.

Jack noticed and introduced. "Children, this is Grandmaster Su yuntao, he is going to help you, awaken your martial soul."

The children minded while Tang San wondered. 'what is a martial soul?'

Su yuntao nodded at the children and commanded them to follow him inside.

Once inside he took out 6 awakening crystals and placed them in a hexagonal formation.

"Don't be afraid , what you are going to see next is my martial soul." He said as he summoned his 'lone wolf' Martial Soul.

A shadow of a humanoid looking lone wolf appeared above his head, startling the children, except tang san who got intrigued.

"Martial soul possession." He said instantly his body transformed, his eyes turned green, his muscles swelled, his teeth enlarged while his face resembled a wolf.

"Get inside the ring one by one." He said and started the awakening process.

He went through one by one but almost no one showed a hint of soul power.

Until it's tang san's turn, he gave up hope looking at his scrawny appearance, especially compared to the rest of the kids.

'Poor child, he should be in even more poverty than the rest of them.' he thought.

Tang San stepped inside the formation ring without fear and closed his eyes and followed Su yuntao's instructions and extended his right hand as golden energy poured into him.

He felt something break inside and a force of energy rushed out of his extended hand.

Opening his eyes he saw a blue singer grass with a Silver streak to it.

Su yuntao who got his hopes up after seeing the child's attitude and manners seeing the Blue Silver Grass got disappointed, while Tang san discretely goss at his left hand where a small hammer formed before he dismissed it.

"Master Su Yuntao, I want to check my soul power." Tang san said as he saw the man was packing up to leave.

So Yuntao, feeling pretty for the child, took the blue crystal sphere and gave it to him.

The sphere lit up until little over half of it for full stunning Su yuntao.

"It's truly unusual, Blue Silver Grass with soul power, not to mention at level 7?" He said, confirming if he is seeing it right.
