Chapter 223 - Why would an Avenger like him need weapons of mass destruction?

After the Avengers and the Autobots teamed up to resolve the Decepticons' invasion crisis in Wakanda, they were treated to the highest level of hospitality by Wakanda.

Due to the Autobots' immense size, the banquet was held in the palace's backyard. The Avengers were served Wakanda's finest food and wine. The Autobots were a bit more difficult to cater to, but at Smokescreen's suggestion, they received a full body paint job.

"Yes, yes, just like that. A little more pressure, and the paint will be more even," Smokescreen said with his eyes closed, looking very much like he was enjoying himself.

Not just Smokescreen, but all the other Autobots, except for Optimus Prime and Ratchet, had expressions of enjoyment.

Optimus Prime didn't mind his companions relaxing between battles, but in Eller's eyes, Smokescreen and the others' expressions were a bit strange.

"What amazing silicon-based lifeforms," Eller mused, then saw Thor drinking heartily. That guy loved these kinds of scenes the most.

T'Challa drank with Thor, prince with prince; their statuses matched up well.

"Another barrel!" Thor declared boisterously.

Nightcrawler wasn't used to attending banquets; this kind of scene was too noisy for him. Quicksilver wasn't used to African cuisine, and Banner left early. Hawkeye and Black Widow didn't care; after being Agents for so long, they deserved to enjoy themselves.

Tony didn't use this opportunity to flirt with Wakandan women, nor did he leave any "a child is the best gift I can give you" promises with the Black Pearls. Instead, he seriously discussed insights with Wakandan scientists.

Even if he couldn't get Vibranium, gaining some related information and seeing new technologies was still worthwhile.

King T'Chaka of Wakanda initially chatted with Captain America, seemingly prepared to engage in diplomatic work with America, but he quickly found Eller.

"Thank you for your assistance, esteemed guest," T'Chaka said amiably, which made him look less like a king and more like a kind old man.

"It was nothing," Eller responded with a smile.

T'Chaka pulled Eller aside and spoke for a long time; he seemed to value Eller greatly.

After this incident, T'Chaka had decided that he must fully open the country's borders before his abdication. He pondered among the three strongest nations in the World and quickly made up his mind.

Russia was too far away, China had the strongest hidden power, and America, while seemingly powerful, had many internal factions, and the loyalty of its super-powered combatants was the lowest.

Through observation at the banquet, T'Chaka was convinced that the Avengers' attitude towards America was actually very ambiguous.

First, Thor was not an Earthling. Tony Stark could completely emigrate with his technology. Black Widow and Hawkeye were paid workers. Nightcrawler and Quicksilver joined the Avengers purely out of an internal sense of justice.

Such an alliance would not be overly concerned with 'America's interests.' If America were to do something bad, some Avengers might be the first to object.

For example, Eller, whom T'Chaka favored, saw the young man's arrogance and self-esteem hidden beneath his humility.

This young man would not stand on America's side, so T'Chaka strongly courted Eller and gave him many gifts.

This scene was also witnessed by the former Scorpio, now Ji Hu Killer. He hid in the shadows, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.

"I'll start with you, old man!"

Meanwhile, on the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, Nick Fury was bickering with the White House.

"I heard your super-powered team went to a highly advanced African country to deal with aliens?" The person bickering with Nick Fury was the President himself.

The President was very interested in the Decepticons. If he could acquire the technology of these silicon-based lifeforms, America would surely maintain its scientific advantage.

In the previous Chitauri invasion, major powers acquired many Chitauri weapons and Leviathan wreckage. America did not gain a significant advantage over the other two countries in the technological race.

Therefore, the President urgently wanted to acquire more leverage. Even if it meant violating World Security Council regulations, he wanted to try.

Nick Fury casually fabricated, "They went to carry out a mission to protect Earth. However, there's also a group of silicon-based aliens on our side. We can't start researching Transformers too quickly; it could easily cause negative interstellar diplomatic effects."

If possible, Nick didn't want to hand over the Decepticon wreckage. Some things were best shared.

"So you're not giving anything at all?" The President's eyes narrowed, and his tone became unfriendly. "Aren't you afraid I'll choke off the Avengers?"

Nick Fury rolled his remaining eye at the President, then said nonchalantly:

"Mr. President, I hope you consider Kamen Rider's combat power."

"What about him?" The President's heart skipped a beat. He was indeed afraid of Eller's combat power.

"He has a weapon that can hit at least several hundred kilometers. I think it might be difficult for him to hit from the West Coast to the East Coast, but hitting from New York City to Washington D.C. shouldn't be a problem," Nick Fury said with great confidence.

Although Nick Fury always suspected Eller secretly hid the Tesseract, truthfully, having a controllable and Earth-resident high-level combatant in the Avengers gave him full confidence when speaking to the President.

"What does a superhero need such powerful high-tech weapons for..." the President muttered. His words naturally reached Nick Fury's ears, who looked at the President with an indifferent expression.

That expression seemed to say, 'It won't be used to hit me anyway. As for hitting you? That depends on the weapon Master's mood.' Although the President wanted to gain more benefits, at times, the goodwill of powerful superhumans might be more important than high technology.

"Help me tell Geats that America will always be his backing." Unable to coerce, the President could only entice.

Some time later, in Wakanda, Africa.

After the banquet, the Autobots returned to their temporary Base, and the Avengers also returned to America via the Autobots' Groundbridge. The country temporarily returned to peace.

The old King T'Chaka was preparing for bed. As he lay in bed, suddenly, a flash of lightning streaked across the window, illuminating the King's room for an instant and allowing him to clearly see an uninvited guest who had suddenly appeared there.

"Why are you here?" T'Chaka looked at the figure, who seemed to be wearing a fox mask, in confusion. In a daze, he mistook this uninvited guest for Eller.

Ji Hu Killer clenched his fist in the shadows, his killing intent fully exposed, and he grinned menacingly at T'Chaka:

"Lend me your head!"

"Oh?"

A third voice suddenly sounded in the room.
