Chapter 37 - This is not an ordinary old lady

Night fell.

Ailer was, as usual, searching the city for traces of Vampires and The Hand.

Since The Hand was involved in transnational human trafficking, Ailer focused his attention on the docks and ports.

Smuggling cases often occurred near the sea, and following this logic, Ailer traced his way to a cargo ship from the Far East.

As soon as he boarded, Ailer heard many heartbeats, the number of which far exceeded the crew of the cargo ship.

In other words, this was a human trafficking ship.

There weren't many guards on board, so Ailer easily knocked them all unconscious.

'No Vampires or mysterious ninjas... This doesn't seem like The Hand's style.'

Although the operation was smooth, Ailer grew suspicious.

He was currently only wearing a DGP uniform, with only a fox mask on his face.

Out of caution, Ailer put on his Desire Driver first; he could transform immediately if anything went wrong.

Ailer pretended not to have discovered anything as he approached the container, then 'unpreparedly' opened it.

Clang—

The moment Ailer opened the container, at least ten blades simultaneously thrust towards him.

This was clearly a trap!

"Just as I expected."

Ailer's lips curled slightly, then he shifted his body, his fists striking out like a whirlwind.

Accompanied by dull thuds of flesh being hit, the assassins were sent flying one after another by Ailer, even their weapons knocked from their hands.

These ninjas were all ordinary humans, having only received some special training.

They were no match for Ailer, who had broken through the limits of the human body.

The people who trained them probably focused all their energy on brainwashing, Ailer commented.

This group of ninjas was fearless.

Even though Ailer's strength was far superior to theirs, they still dared to charge again.

Seeing this, Ailer pouted and grumbled, "A bunch of annoying flies."

No sooner had he spoken than Ailer began to fight with the ninjas.

Each of his punches exceeded two hundred kilograms, and with every punch, a ninja was inevitably sent flying.

A few seconds later, Ailer had dealt with all the ninjas.

Just then, Ailer smelled gunpowder in the air, so he immediately transformed, "HenShin!"

Boom—

The next moment, a flash of Fire shot straight into the sky.

The explosion destroyed the cargo ship's overall structure, and it wouldn't be long before the ship sank, erasing all clues on board.

The sinking cargo ship would cover everything, and The Hand would have a way to explain it.

Compared to an assassin organization that had existed for hundreds of years, the value of a single cargo ship was insignificant.

On the shore, an elegant old woman leaning on a cane quietly watched the burning cargo ship.

She shook her head, her face full of regret.

She spoke, but not in English; it was Chinese.

"What an ignorant young man.

Although he possesses martial prowess, he lacks the corresponding wisdom.

If he were to join my sect, he could become a talent.

No matter how powerful that armor is, what good is it?

Without protection, you will still be killed by a bomb."

Madame Gao, who had been hiding in the shadows, witnessed Ailer single-handedly taking on ten ninjas.

Those ten ninjas, though without secret arts, had actual combat capabilities stronger than a modern U.S. combat team, especially their fearlessness in the face of death.

And Madame Gao had intended for these ten ninjas to be Ailer's burial companions.

After regretting the disappearance of such a talent, Madame Gao prepared to leave.

But at that moment, Madame Gao suddenly heard a whooshing sound from behind her.

She immediately turned around and raised her cane to block.

Clang—

The wooden cane and a black fist collided, emitting a crisp sound before separating.

Under the moonlight, Ailer, clad in his Entry Form suit, stood proudly before Madame Gao.

His White scarf billowed in the hot wind.

He stood with his back to the raging Fire and pointed at Madame Gao, saying:

"Old hag, do you think I can't see through your little tricks?"

Ailer also spoke in Chinese, as it was his true first language, and against this old hag, certain Chinese words carried far more aggression than their English counterparts.

The moment of the explosion, Ailer had activated his invincible frame transformation.

The explosion didn't harm a single hair on Ailer's head; it even gave him an opportunity to ambush Madame Gao.

"I underestimated you, young man."

A sharp glint shot from Madame Gao's eyes.

Her breathing became peculiar; a strange energy coursed through her body, revitalizing her ancient form.

Her hunched posture straightened, and under the enhancement of that energy, even the cane in her hand became hard.

Ailer could see all of Madame Gao's changes, especially her strange breathing method.

Each time the old woman exhaled, she seemed to draw in a large amount of air, and the air she expelled was like a long snake.

Using the powerful observation of his visor, Ailer memorized her breathing technique, thinking he might study its intricacies later.

"I'll give you one last chance," Madame Gao's eyes glowed unnaturally for an elderly person, and her voice was remarkably strong.

"Join The Hand, and I can make you stronger!"

"What? You want me to associate with a bunch of rotten oranges? That's laughable!" Ailer retorted without hesitation, while taking out the Zombie Buckle.

[Set! Zombie! Ready! Fight!]

Purple spiked armor covered his upper body, and the chainsaw weapon, Zombie Destroyer, was gripped in Ailer's hand.

"You had a path to heaven but chose not to walk it; instead, you threw yourself into the gates of hell!" Madame Gao scoffed at Ailer, then attacked him.

Clang—

The next moment, the Zombie Destroyer and the wooden cane met, producing the sound of metal colliding.

The old woman's cane seemed to be sticky; once the Zombie Destroyer touched it, they couldn't separate.

Perhaps sensing Ailer's weakness, Madame Gao seized the opportunity to twist the cane in her hand.

With each rotation, her strength increased.

This wouldn't do.

Realizing this, Ailer used his free left hand to forcefully push the front grip of the Zombie Destroyer.

The chainsaw teeth began to spin at high speed, and a visible air current formed around the outside.

The air current cut through the wooden cane like a hot knife through butter.

Madame Gao, now disarmed, paused in slight confusion, then widened the distance between herself and Ailer.

"It's merely an advantage gained by borrowing external objects, young man.

You'd better pay close attention to my next moves; these are quite rare techniques."

"Old women like you are indeed rare," Ailer mocked, while contemplating his counter-strategy.

"Rare, you are an absolute rarity."

"Slick-tongued brat!" Madame Gao, being an old fossil, naturally didn't understand what Ailer was saying, but she could tell Ailer was mocking her.

The next moment, she pushed off the ground and charged at Ailer again.
