Chapter 260 - Chapter 259: The Idea of Building Hell into a New Kryptonian Planet

Dane and Diana's World of two did not last long; Faora finally arrived, having rushed as quickly as she could.

She saw Dane from afar, thinking he wasn't far, but didn't expect to fly for so long to reach him.

However, when she finally flew over, she immediately noticed him embracing an unfamiliar woman. Faora herself didn't realize that a sudden sense of displeasure rose within her.

So when she landed, she made a huge commotion, directly stamping a large pit in the ground.

With a "boom" like an explosion, Diana's joyful mood was interrupted. She turned to look and found it was the unfamiliar Kryptonian woman she had seen on the battlefield.

Faora opened her visor, revealing her face.

Could this be another romantic entanglement?

Diana thought this, but her expression showed no change. She emerged from Dane's arms and scrutinized Faora up and down.

She was indeed a very dashing woman, with the unique sternness of a soldier on her cold face.

"What do you call yourself?"

Faora said expressionlessly, "Faora."

"Faora?" Diana looked at Dane with a half-smile. This person seemed not to have been introduced yet?

Dane understood her meaning and could only explain, "I haven't had a chance to tell you, she is... she was General Zod's subordinate, and now she works for me."

"I have completed the task you assigned me. I hope you don't forget what you promised me."

Faora said abruptly.

Well, this matter hadn't been mentioned to her either. Diana turned her head back to Dane.

Dane honestly said, "I promised to help her rebuild Kryptonian civilization."

Rebuild Kryptonian civilization? Diana frowned.

"Which Planet do you plan for them to live on?"

Kryptonians, especially an entire race of Kryptonians, no matter which Planet in the Universe they lived on, always felt like a very dangerous thing for other civilizations.

Kryptonians had once relied on military force and technology to rule and enslave other races in the World. Now that the Kryptonian Council, which could restrict them, was gone, and Faora was a typical soldier.

Letting her revive Kryptonian civilization, was it certain that Kryptonian civilization wouldn't repeat the old path of the original Kryptonian Planet?

Diana was very suspicious, not of Dane, but of Faora.

Faora did not speak; she was waiting for Dane's answer.

But Dane already had a draft for the future development of Kryptonian civilization. He looked around and suddenly asked a question.

"What do you two think of this place?"

Here?

Faora and Diana thought in surprise. They followed Dane's gaze, scanning their surroundings: the red sky, the air filled with the smell of sulfur, and the ground clearly radiating extremely high heat.

This was Hell! Apart from lost souls and demons, who would live in such a place?

This, instead, evoked some pity in Diana. She couldn't help but say to Dane, "Dane, this is Hell!"

But Faora looked at the place thoughtfully. She squatted down, punched her fist into the ground, fumbled around a bit, and pulled her hand out.

In her palm, she held a clump of soil. She used the miniature computer on her battle suit to analyze the soil composition here.

The soil here absorbed residual heat from the Earth's core, reaching nearly 50 degrees Celsius. One could imagine that the deeper one went, the higher the temperature.

At such temperatures, normal plants simply couldn't grow in Hell's soil, and it was even likely that there was very little Water.

But that was for ordinary people. For Kryptonians, they could overcome any unfavorable conditions.

Moreover, this environment was not entirely without benefits for Faora. In the later stages of their civilization, Krypton developed technology and sustained its population's resource consumption by mining geothermal energy from the Planet's core.

From this perspective, Hell was definitely a place with no shortage of geothermal energy.

And although the atmosphere here was scorching, it lacked no necessary atmospheric components, even oxygen.

This indicated that Hell might not be devoid of plant life; they just hadn't discovered it yet.

As for Water, it was believed that finding the plants here would be equivalent to finding a Water source.

Even if none of the above existed, with Dane present, he could completely bring materials from the Real World.

Just like before, simply opening a door.

So Faora nodded instead: "It looks good, but how do we deal with all those messy things?"

She was referring to the demons of Hell. Even though many had been lost in continuous wars, the remaining numbers were still considerable.

Not to mention the Real World continuously providing "talent" to Hell. It was believed that Hell's population would soon recover to its former numbers.

If Kryptonians were to develop here, at least in the early stages, they would need a relatively stable living environment.

Dane also knew her concerns. Before the first batch of Kryptonians grew up, she alone would probably find it difficult to fully care for the children.

"You don't need to worry about the demons. I will confine them to a specific area to live, and they won't disturb the growth of the newborns."

He had some things he hadn't said: in the future, if the Kryptonians grew up, he could select a group of excellent members to become his subordinate gods.

Helping him manage those demons.

Although he promised Heaven not to take the Demon God's power out of Hell, Heaven could not control him developing his New Gods in Hell.

There was no Sun in Hell, so for Kryptonians to activate their superpowers by sunbathing, they could only rely on Dane's magic power to introduce sunlight from the Real World into Hell. It was possible that Dane would even become the Sun God of the New Kryptonian civilization.

In any case, Rao, the chief god of Krypton, was not a competent one. In the comics of The Dream series, another truth about Krypton's destruction was revealed: they were lost by their own chief god at a gambling table...

Therefore, since Rao didn't care about Kryptonians and allowed Krypton to be destroyed, it would be better for Dane to take over and reshape a new Kryptonian civilization... Moreover, his agreement with Heaven clearly had loopholes; he couldn't bring the power of the Demon God out of Hell, but wouldn't it be the same to drag enemies into Hell and then use the Demon God's power against them?

Diana felt an absurd sense of her worldview shattering when Faora didn't object, but instead seemed quite satisfied with Dane's suggestion.

This was the so-called cultural clash. In Kryptonian culture, there was no concept of people dying and going to Hell to suffer.

The Phantom Zone was the place they feared most, and such a place genuinely existed.

Ever since Faora escaped from the Phantom Zone, she had lost her former reverence for it.

So, to her, Hell was merely a World in a different dimension from the Real World; as long as she could survive, it didn't matter if it was Hell or not.

Even the demons of Hell were merely monsters that Faora could easily destroy.

Demons without magic abilities were not much stronger than ordinary humans in front of a Kryptonian; they were just a slap's worth of strength.

Dane was not surprised by Faora's attitude.

"Since you're pleased, then let's return to the Real World to prepare and bring in the World Engine."

While Kryptonians like Faora might not care, newborn Kryptonian infants should still live in a better environment.

The World Engine could transform Hell into an atmospheric ecosystem similar to Earth's environment, which would be more conducive to their survival.

"By the way, there should still be surviving Kryptonians on that battlefield, right?"

Dane suddenly asked Faora as if he had thought of something; though she didn't understand, she still nodded.

"That's good," Dane said nothing further.

He had absorbed everything from Hades, so he had indirectly taken over his authority. Now, the souls of those Kryptonian Soldiers had theoretically become his property.

Dane, of course, couldn't let such an excellent Soldier as Faora stay in Hell to nurse children, so selecting some usable talent from those Kryptonian Soldiers became an urgent priority.

"Dane, can you change back to your original appearance?" Diana asked with some concern.

Although this form had a wicked charm, it looked like a villain at first glance, and Diana worried that he would be rejected by the people of the Real World.

The public always liked to judge a person's character based on their appearance. Diana believed that even some young Super Heroes were the same.

Shazam and Superman had similar abilities, but the former had always outranked the latter in popularity, largely because the public believed that Superman's red eyes when using heat vision looked like a demon's.

Upon hearing this, Dane's divine power surged, shedding his Demon God form and returning to his human body.

He looked very young, perhaps not even twenty years old.

Faora thought to herself.

Then Dane shouted "Shazam," a bolt of lightning flashed, and he transformed back into Shazam.
