The Thinker saw the smile on Peacemaker's face, and alarm bells rang wildly in his mind.
Just as he was about to step back, he saw Peacemaker pull out a small golden knife.
This knife was an N-alloy military knife that Peacemaker had requested Amanda to forge.
The N-alloy wetsuits worn by X-Squad members had very high defensive capabilities, and human weapons were temporarily unable to penetrate them underwater.
Only N-alloy weapons of the same type could breach their defense.
But Amanda would never have imagined that Peacemaker's purpose in asking for this weapon was to slaughter Task Force X members.
The Thinker was not proficient in combat, and the immense resistance of the Water at deep depths also hindered his ability to evade the already prepared Peacemaker.
So his face mask was instantly pierced by the alloy knife.
In an instant, immense Water pressure tore a path through the pierced small hole, crushing The Thinker's head into fragments.
Katana froze for a moment, but Peacemaker didn't. He pulled out the knife embedded in The Thinker's mask and immediately lunged at Katana.
Although her brain briefly malfunctioned, the battle-hardened Katana still performed a draw-and-slash in the first instant, parrying Peacemaker's attacking military knife.
"What are you doing!"
Peacemaker looked in the direction of the voice. Killer Frost's eyes were already glowing blue. Her arm gauntlets lit up, and a freezing ray struck Peacemaker's face mask, obstructing his vision.
"Kill him!" Killer Frost roared at Katana.
The female warrior held her sword, seemingly still hesitating. She couldn't understand the meaning behind Peacemaker's killing.
If it was just to execute them, would it require so much trouble?
Killer Frost 177 couldn't stand her hesitant look. She pushed her aside, attempting to continue attacking Peacemaker with freezing rays.
But Peacemaker directly pulled out his gun and shot himself in the face, shattering the ice and regaining his vision.
Seeing Killer Frost approaching, he raised his hand and shot at her.
Facing the gun, Killer Frost instinctively dodged, but she quickly realized that she didn't need to fear bullets while wearing this "suit."
But her dodge gave Peacemaker an opportunity to escape. His wetsuit had been modified, allowing him to move faster underwater than anyone else.
Before leaving, he grabbed the tantu totem from Vixen's neck and then casually threw down a naval mine.
Killer Frost was about to continue the chase, and Katana had also decided to cooperate with her, but the naval mine exploded at a perfectly coincidental moment.
The Water waves generated by the explosion dispersed them, and also gave Peacemaker the boost he needed to escape.
He swam towards the submersible and took the opportunity to send a message to his other companions on the submarine.
"Results confirmed, target confirmed destroyed, send people to help me quickly!"
Their race could gain everything from a host, including memories and abilities, by absorbing the host's life force.
However, the host was not limited to sentient beings.
So, not long after "Peacemaker" returned to his submersible, several large marine creatures came to his aid.
Killer Frost and Katana also caught up at this point.
"Quick! Our ship!"
Killer Frost shouted, then quickly moved forward, wanting to reclaim her submersible.
But at that moment, a Great White Shark opened its mouth and lunged at her. Killer Frost was not agile enough in the Water, and it looked like she was about to be bitten.
At this moment, Katana arrived in time. She had received training to counter Water currents and pressure during her past cultivation, so although her agility decreased, she was not entirely defenseless.
Moreover, her wetsuit was specially custom-made to allow her to perform underwater.
Therefore, Katana fought bravely, and the "soul taker" in her hand precisely stabbed the Great White Shark's eye like a scalpel.
The Great White Shark, struck by this heavy blow, rolled in pain, and its blood churned the surrounding Water into an extremely murky mess, making it impossible to see anything.
Killer Frost immediately seized the opportunity to turn off her body's breathing light and radio, becoming completely invisible.
She didn't swim towards her own submersible; instead, she approached Peacemaker's submersible.
The real problem should lie with Peacemaker, and they had to figure out what was going on.
But she thought she was well hidden, unaware that "Peacemaker's" accomplices were already lurking among the surrounding marine creatures.
A orca suddenly charged at Killer Frost from the darkness. She activated her freezing aura, hitting the orca with a freezing ray, managing to escape a close call.
Killer Frost felt strange in her heart, what was wrong with these animals? Why did their aggressiveness suddenly become so strong?
But on the other side of the battlefield, Katana had already learned their secret through soul taker.
She immediately wanted to tell Killer Frost the news, but then she found that the other party's radio was off.
"Damn it!"
She pulled out the "soul taker" embedded in the Great White Shark and quickly swam towards Killer Frost's direction.
But Peacemaker had already located Katana through the radio message she had just sent. He manipulated his submersible and fired a small torpedo at Katana.
Katana instinctively drew her sword and split the torpedo, but also detonated it, and the Impact instantly blew her away.
This explosion had severely affected her ability to think. She felt her brain shaking, and she couldn't see anything clearly.
Killer Frost saw her condition and decided to finish the fight quickly. She found an opportunity to grab one of the orca's fins and began to absorb the heat from its body.
The orca seemed to feel its body temperature rapidly draining and immediately began to thrash desperately.
But this changed nothing; its body temperature was still dropping rapidly, and if it didn't find a solution soon, it would surely die here.
With no other option, the orca disregarded exposing its identity. Its massive body began to deform, and a keratinous layer suddenly grew from the spot Killer Frost was holding.
Killer Frost hadn't even understood what was happening when the keratinous layer broke open, and a claw extended from within, grabbing at her.
She quickly dodged backward.
"What the hell is that!"
Is this an orca? Or is this a local specialty of Atlantis.
Seeing the opponent still transforming, soon turning into a giant crocodile-like reptile, Killer Frost quickly retreated.
She used her abilities, absorbing the temperature of the surrounding Water, and soon some ice-Water mixture appeared, severely hindering the monster's movements.
The opponent's underwater maneuverability was far superior to her own, and fighting underwater was too disadvantageous. Killer Frost chose to temporarily retreat.
She first swam towards Katana's direction. Although this opponent was a bit stubborn, her abilities were very good, and mutual help would be more conducive to their survival.
Killer Frost reopened her radio and began to call Katana.
"Warrior, hurry up! We can't stay here any longer!"
Katana was startled awake by the voice, and her brain regained some clarity.
Seeing that she could connect with Killer Frost, she quickly blurted out her discovery.
"Killer Frost, those things, they are intelligent life forms! And Peacemaker is with them!"
Killer Frost spun around, realizing Peacemaker's submersible had approached them, and the shapeshifting monster hadn't attacked him.
She knew Katana was right.
"Run!"
Peacemaker maneuvered his submersible to fire another torpedo, but this time, Killer Frost's ice beam instantly disabled it.
She continued firing, freezing the submersible's launch port. Peacemaker, unaware, tried to fire another torpedo, and it detonated in the launch tube.
Peacemaker's submersible was instantly torn apart by the explosion, and he himself was thrown by the blast wave.
Killer Frost and Katana seized the opportunity to quickly swim towards their own submersible, hoping to reach the shore... But the enemy didn't give them a chance. The shapeshifting monster opened its huge mouth, revealing rows of sharp teeth.
It bit into the submersible, tearing off its thruster, then swung the machine towards the two women.
Killer Frost and Katana could only scatter, dodging the submersible.
In the distance, the stunned Peacemaker suddenly swam back. He raised a hand and incredibly opened his mask.
But inside wasn't the face Killer Frost and Katana were familiar with; instead, it was a face covered in countless tentacles and horny ring-shaped teeth.
This was a damn monster!
The tentacles, like a blooming monstrous flower, and the central pistil instantly spewed a jet of ink-black liquid, plunging the surroundings into darkness once more..
