Gotham, Poison Ivy and Harley's cottage.
Harley was sprawled across the table, wriggling up and down.
"Soooooo... booooooring..."
Poison Ivy walked out of the bathroom, completely unclothed.
She saw Harley mimicking a caterpillar and put her hands on her hips.
"What are you doing now?"
"Ivy~"
Harley threw her arms around her, rubbing her small head against her chest.
"Dane hasn't been coming around lately; he's definitely with that bitch Wonder Woman again!"
Poison Ivy smacked her on the forehead, pushed her away, and then elegantly sat on the sofa.
"Tell me, what do you want to do now?"
Harley quickly followed, fawning, and rested her head on Poison Ivy's shoulder.
"Gotham has become so boring lately. Let's go to Metropolis and see! I heard there's a war going on there~!"
Poison Ivy was speechless at her; this little crazy was truly eager for chaos!
Speaking of which, ever since the "Destiny Event" was resolved, Gotham's criminal underworld had undergone another reshuffle.
Especially with the successive arrests of Penguin, Two-Face, and Black Mask, Gotham's order had greatly improved.
Lately, Batman had felt much lighter, no longer having to stay up all night on duty, flying all over the city.
However, with the decrease in Gotham's crime rate, the Birds of Prey, which had just been formed, were facing a "unemployment" crisis.
Of course, Gotham's gangs would never disappear, but the number of major cases was indeed much lower than before.
Because of their outstanding performance in the "Destiny Event," Gotham's local gangs had come to recognize this new superhero organization.
Don't let the fact that they were all women fool you; there were some tough characters among them.
Batgirl's reappearance after many years was very successful; when she successfully took down the crime boss Penguin, she instantly became one of the untouchable figures in the minds of gang leaders.
But the ones these gang organizations feared the most were Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy from the Birds of Prey.
The former hit extremely hard; especially with her standard weapon, the alloy sledgehammer, one blow would leave the target at least a level three invalid.
Under Batgirl's constant admonitions, Harley did manage not to take lives, but all she could guarantee was that lives wouldn't be taken; their future lives were basically ruined.
This was even worse than letting them die!
And the latter, Poison Ivy, had become increasingly adept at controlling hormones lately, with almost no man able to resist her charm.
With a wave of her hand, she could make countless men turn against each other; a flying kiss could make a man die for her.
That feeling of being beyond one's control made the incarcerated gang villains shudder from the bottom of their hearts every time they spoke of it.
But they were certain that the next time they encountered Poison Ivy, they would still be as willing to sacrifice their lives for her as they were this time... As for Huntress, her abilities were decent, but she also hit extremely hard, almost fatally injuring people several times.
Batgirl had argued with her many times over this matter.
Black Canary's abilities are indeed unique, but she is the one the gangs find easiest to deal with.
Aside from her superpowers, Black Canary is actually quite ordinary; her fighting skills are not as good as Huntress's, and her investigative and technical abilities are inferior to Batgirl's.
She isn't as crazy as Harley, nor as charming as Poison Ivy; Black Canary feels her role is somewhat ambiguous, so she's been a bit lost lately.
But if she could hear the thoughts of the gang villains, she would definitely hear, 'Fishnet stockings are the GOAT!' Poison Ivy tapped Harley's little head: 'You, what are you thinking about all day? Isn't Gotham's great order a good thing?'
'This shows our efforts are effective!'
'But no one is playing with me anymore!' Harley pouted, dissatisfied: 'Dane, you bad guy! You never come to find me; next time, I'll drain him dry!'
Poison Ivy scoffed: 'Save it. When have you not been the first to beg for mercy?'
Harley became even more displeased: 'And that's because you never help me! You, Ivy, you said we were best friends, but at crucial moments, you never help me; you only help that scoundrel bully me!'
Poison Ivy couldn't stand her increasingly explicit words and quickly stopped the topic.
'Stop! Let's not talk about this. What do you actually want to do?'
Harley's eyes darted around, and her tone became fawning again.
'Dear Ivy, why don't our Birds of Prey go to Metropolis to take a look! I have a premonition that something big is definitely going to happen there this time!'
Poison Ivy was a bit troubled; if it were just the two of them going, it would be fine, but bringing the Birds of Prey along would require finding a reason to convince Batgirl first.
It's unclear if there's some Bat-Family buff, but Batgirl mostly acts as the leader of the Birds of Prey, though Huntress often seems unconvinced... The phone rang, and Poison Ivy picked it up; it showed Black Canary's avatar.
'Dinah?' Poison Ivy said, surprised, answering the call.
'This is Poison Ivy, Dinah, what happened?'
Black Canary's helpless voice came from the other end: 'It's Helena and Barbara, they're arguing again...'
'Again?' Poison Ivy wondered: 'What's it about this time?'
'Remember that doomsday cult? We found some of their members still at large.'
Harley heard something and immediately pounced, whispering loudly into Poison Ivy's ear: 'You guys are having so much fun and didn't call me? You're all bitches!'
Poison Ivy's ears hurt from the noise; she held the phone with one hand and grabbed Harley's face with the other, pushing her away.
'That voice just now was... Harley?'
Black Canary's voice sounded a bit surprised; although they were in the same team, they usually didn't interact privately apart from knowing each other's real names.
So Black Canary didn't know that Poison Ivy and Harley lived together.
Poison Ivy glanced at Harley, who was still trying to sneak a peek.
She sighed and said into the phone: 'Yes.'
No wonder they had the best relationship in the team; Black Canary felt a pang of envy. She also wanted a close best friend!
Unfortunately, Huntress and Batgirl are too serious; she feels they are both career-driven women, and she, an ordinary girl, can only tremble between them.
'Anyway, when we found those cultists, Huntress tracked them into a dilapidated apartment, and then, then she found... those women inside...'
Black Canary didn't continue, but Poison Ivy understood her meaning.
What fate awaited women captured by cultists? Did she need to guess?
Huntress has a fierce personality, so when she saw the situation, she immediately flew into a rage.
She already had a heavy hand; although her power level wasn't as high as Harley's, she often inflicted higher damage on criminals than Harley rarely did.
This time, she was determined to kill, so her attacks were aimed directly at the opponents' vital points.
The crossbow bolt in her hand even directly pierced a cultist's eyeball, reaching the brainstem.
By the time Barbara and Black Canary arrived, Huntress had already killed all the men in the apartment by herself.
Of course, it wasn't all direct combat; Huntress had also learned and absorbed some experience from the Bat-Family, and she had perfected the League of Assassins' assassination techniques that they had already abandoned.
So, Barbara's mood when she saw the corpses everywhere was imaginable; she taught Helena League of Assassins techniques not for her to use them for slaughter.
Therefore, when she found Huntress, she immediately argued with her, accusing her of completely abusing her power.
And Helena also flared up; she accused Batgirl of always demanding leniency but never truly punishing evil.
As a result, many evil villains always manage to make a comeback.
'If you just kill them, wouldn't all those later problems be avoided?'
Her words made Barbara recall the scene that happened in Wayne Manor.
To protect Nightwing and her, Bruce did not hesitate to abandon his principles, staining his hands with blood; the thought of it always choked her up.
Breaking the no-kill rule is easy; the fear is of sliding into the abyss from there.
So she chose to inherit Batman's will and continue the 'no-kill' principle.
However, it was limited to 'no-kill'; she mostly turned a blind eye to things like injuring or crippling.
But Huntress felt she was indecisive; either don't do it, or if you do, go all the way.
You're already a masked vigilante, and you still uphold a 'no-kill' rule? Who are you putting on a show for?
Harley heard this and shouted again: 'I think that little bitch is right!'
'Shut up!' Poison Ivy scolded.
Then she turned to Black Canary: 'Tell me the address first; we'll be right there!'
