Chapter 88 - Chapter 87 Parallax Attacks!

At this moment, Hal seemed like a different person; his eyes shone with blinding divine will light, and his expression was solemn and majestic.

Sinestro almost thought a different soul had taken over his body.

But as soon as Hal spoke, Sinestro knew it was still him.

"Sinestro, I will stop you!"

"Then come and try, rookie!"

Sinestro was unyielding; his will shaped the green light, forming hard light constructs of extremely high density.

He molded this material into a spiral drill, pushing its tip straight forward, directly at Hal.

But Hal didn't dodge at all; Dane's words had made him understand that as long as he firmly believed his conviction was right.

He would then truly be indestructible!

So, facing Sinestro's drill, he raised his fist, imagining Clark's invincible punch.

Imagining Dane's unstoppable lightning, immense energy converged and compressed in his fist.

Then exploded as the punch was thrown!

Sinestro's hard light shattered. He watched, wide-eyed, as Hal passed through his creation, as effortlessly as if nothing were in front of him.

Is willpower truly that powerful?

Sinestro didn't know whether to be proud of his foresight or regret his hesitation. Now, Hal was clearly not as easy to deal with as before.

After Hal burst through the hard light, his speed suddenly accelerated.

Before Sinestro could react, a punch landed squarely on his face.

Struck by this heavy blow, Sinestro flew backward, shattering a drifting meteor, and didn't recover for a long time.

Hal pursued his advantage, his will manifesting, solidifying the green light, creating two identical large hands around his fists.

He clenched his fists and relentlessly pummeled Sinestro.

Sinestro, throughout, was utterly powerless to retaliate, only able to barely protect himself with a green light shield.

He was still in shock and couldn't come up with an effective counter-attack.

He already felt like retreating, but at the same time, there was a hint of unwillingness in his heart.

Sinestro was unwilling to admit that his will was weaker than Hal's, but the facts seemed to be showing him that it was indeed so.

Yellow light, as long as I have yellow light energy, I can definitely crush him!

He roared inwardly, but he was helpless in his actions.

Whatever he manifested seemed like easily torn paper in the other's hands.

Sinestro knew this was because as time passed, his will grew weaker and weaker.

No matter how firm his belief appeared on the surface, the subconscious feeling of inevitable defeat was a thought he couldn't deceive himself about.

By the end of the fight, even the lantern ring on his hand began to dim.

This was normal. When Sinestro felt that green light would lose and yellow light would win.

He was no longer favored by the green lantern ring as he once was.

Hal's final heavy punch landed, and Sinestro lost the ability to move.

He flew to Sinestro's side: "I will take you back to face the Corps' judgment."

Sinestro stared blankly into the void, as if looking at something.

"Judgment? No one can judge me, Hal."

"I'm afraid that's not up to you."

Hal reached out to grab Sinestro, but at that moment, a meaningful smile appeared on the other's face.

"Hal, is it really appropriate for you to waste time here now?"

"What do you mean?" Hal frowned, suspecting Sinestro was trying another mind game.

"A monster, a monster that even the Guardians on Oa fear, is heading towards Sector 2814. Guess which Planet it's targeting?"

Hal's pupils constricted, a reaction Sinestro accurately caught.

He scoffed: "That's right, it is, it's your home Planet, Earth!"

"I hope your willpower is strong enough to protect your home Planet…"

Despite having prepared himself mentally, Hal was still shaken by his words.

Sinestro took the opportunity to kick out with both feet, sending Hal flying.

"Your will is too easily swayed, Hal. Next time we meet, I won't hold back!"

Hearing this, Hal immediately charged towards Sinestro.

But a yellow light suddenly flashed from the other's body, and the rays from Hal's lantern ring had no effect on him.

"We will meet again… Hal…"

By the time the last words finished, Hal could no longer see the other's shadow.

In the vast Universe, only a green ring floated silently in deep space.

That was Sinestro's lantern ring; he had abandoned it.

Hal retrieved it, his emotions complex.

Sinestro was his first and only friend in the Green Lantern Corps, and he hadn't expected them to become enemies so quickly.

But he had no time for sadness. Sinestro's words before disappearing gave him a strong sense of urgency. He had to return to Earth immediately!

In the Solar System, in space not far from Neptune, a massive wormhole suddenly appeared.

Parallax emerged from it with its colossal and hideous body.

"It's here, I can smell it, the scent of fear!"

Parallax's two huge, cloudy eyes fixed on the distant azure Planet.

At the same time, shortly after Parallax appeared in the Solar System, Cortana quickly informed all Justice League members of the news.

"Has it finally arrived?"

Dane looked towards the horizon, his gaze seemingly piercing through the depths of the Universe.

He opened the emergency communication line and issued a call to action: "Justice League, assemble!"

Upon receiving the order, Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Martian Manhunter, Red Hood, Constantine, Nightwing, Zatanna, Barbara, and all members assembled.

"What's the situation?"

"The target is currently advancing into the Earth-Moon system. In half an hour, satellites worldwide will be able to observe it."

"How is the evacuation of Coast City progressing?"

Martian Manhunter said with shame:

"It's not ideal. There are too many skeptical and opposing citizens. Even with all officials under my control, progress is still slow."

Nightwing interjected:

"Not only that, when I arrived, I saw many people protesting in the streets. Someone on Kuaishou said this was a Federal Government conspiracy, and many people believed it."

Such an outcome was not unexpected by Dane; this was merely a rehearsal.

He believed that after this incident, the next time an evacuation order was issued, these people would run faster.

"Forget it, just do your best with the evacuation. How is Hector doing?"

Martian Manhunter's expression darkened at the mention, and his tone was not good:

"I found that woman, Amanda, but she hid Hector."

"Didn't you explain the seriousness of the problem to her?" Clark asked, puzzled.

Martian Manhunter shook his head: "She didn't believe me at all!"

"Didn't you try to control her?" Batman spoke at this point.

Ron first nodded, then shook his head: "I tried, but it didn't work. Something blocked my ability."

Dane had Cortana retrieve Amanda's recent message records before speaking.

"So it's Nth Metal creations. Amanda Waller got a lot of good stuff from Hawkman!"

"Nth Metal?" Martian Manhunter questioned.

"An alien metal with magical properties. What blocked your psychic ability must be some item made of Nth Metal," Dane briefly explained.

However, he wondered if Hawkman might also be in Coast City at this moment?

After all, Waller's only effective and biggest card right now was him.

In fact, just as Dane suspected, Hawkman Carter Hall did appear in Coast City.

But even Waller didn't know about this.

He returned because he had recently received advice from his old friend Kent, who said that a great disaster was about to befall Coast City.

But fortunately, the prophecy's outcome was good: someone stopped it.

The bad news, however, was that Coast City would suffer heavy losses because of it.

Hearing such news, Hawkman immediately couldn't sit still; he had to come and see for himself.

As soon as his Nth Metal aircraft flew into Coast City's airspace, the fighter jet's computer immediately began to alarm.

Hawkman quickly checked the source of the danger and found that the alert was coming from the sky.

He retrieved optical imaging from nearby satellites and discovered the source of the crisis from hundreds of blurry images.

A yellow unknown creature. After estimating the target's size, he gasped.

He then quickly dialed Amanda's number.

"Hawkman? What's the matter?" Amanda was surprised he would call her proactively.

"Waller, evacuate the entire city quickly! A giant alien creature is heading towards Earth, and its landing point is Coast City!"

Amanda was greatly alarmed. She suddenly remembered a general who had specifically warned her a few days ago.

She had dismissed it at the time, thinking he was trying to steal Hector's credit, so she hadn't paid it any mind.

However, it was actually true!

She said helplessly to Hawkman:

"I can't do it, Carter, Coast City has millions of people!"

"Unless you give me a month, it's impossible to evacuate everyone."
