Chapter 49 - Chapter 49 Attack On Danzo

"Dad, what did you say?"

Haruno Sakura straightened her back, her voice full of confidence. "How could I possibly commit robbery?"

Her father was startled. "If it's not robbery, then you can't possibly be…"

Haruno Sakura: "…"

Then, Sakura explained everything in detail.

Only after listening did her father realize that his daughter had been working with Naruto taking photos.

And in just over a month, she had earned more money than most people could spend in a lifetime.

The innocent-looking little boy whose photos were circulating in the market—was actually Sasuke, photographed and designed by Haruno Sakura!

After Sakura finished explaining, her father stopped scolding her. Instead, he was… proud.

It was unbelievable.

Were young people today really this outrageous?

He had worked hard his entire life to build a decent home.

Meanwhile, his daughter became rich and free in just one month.

Wasn't that unfair?

However, Sakura's mother frowned slightly after hearing all this.

She looked at her daughter with a complicated expression—feeling like she didn't really know Sakura at all.

Because…

She was also one of the collectors of Sasuke's photos.

And looking at the photo poses and designs—if someone wasn't a master of seductive aesthetics, it would've been impossible to come up with them.

For the first time, Sakura's mother felt as if she was meeting a completely different daughter.

After splitting the money, the Naruto-Sakura Company was officially dissolved.

Naruto wasn't interested in future profits—he already had more than enough.

But with so much wealth suddenly appearing, word inevitably spread.

Before long, Naruto was summoned to the Hokage's office.

Sarutobi Hiruzen sat behind his desk, smoking his pipe as usual, a serious look on his face.

"Naruto," he said, "you're still young. Having this much money might make you careless."

Naruto smirked slightly, his tone meaningful. "So, you mean… I should store the money somewhere safe?"

"Ahem…" Hiruzen coughed lightly. "You see, the village's funds have been a little tight recently…"

Naruto sighed, feigning sadness. "Really? That's such a tragic situation."

But then… silence.

Hiruzen waited, hoping Naruto would take the hint—but Naruto said nothing.

The old man's face turned a little red with embarrassment.

Then Naruto's eyes gleamed mischievously. "Since the village's funds are tight, I can't just stand by and do nothing."

Hiruzen's eyes lit up with hope.

But Naruto continued, "As for the inheritance left by my parents… I'll delay collecting it for another three months. That's the best contribution I can offer to Konoha. Long live the Will of Fire!"

Hiruzen: "?"

Naruto bowed politely. "Then it's settled, Hokage-sama. I'll come back for it in three months. Hopefully, the village's finances will recover by then."

Before Hiruzen could respond, Naruto turned and left.

What a joke.

My money is my money.

Why should I hand it over to the village just because you want it?

Even if I can't spend it all right now, why would I give it away for free?

I earned this through hard work, not from the wind!

If I'm not demanding my parents' inheritance, that's already me showing restraint.

Not long after Naruto left the Hokage's office, Danzo Shimura arrived.

The moment he stepped inside, he shouted, "Sarutobi! Uzumaki Naruto secretly resealed the Nine-Tails into his body! He's hiding it from us—his intentions are dangerous!"

Hiruzen's expression turned grave. "Danzo, don't stir up trouble. Naruto hasn't shown any hostility toward the village."

Danzo slammed his cane down. "Sarutobi! I've told you before—Jinchūriki must be under control to ensure safety! If you hadn't interfered, the situation wouldn't be like this!"

Hiruzen fell silent.

Danzo wasn't wrong.

But even if given another chance, Hiruzen would still have stopped him from interfering in Naruto's affairs.

It was a promise he had made to Minato Namikaze—Naruto's father.

And that promise was Hiruzen's final line of integrity.

The two old men glared at each other, the air thick with tension—

Until a knock on the door interrupted them.

Naruto had come back.

Hiruzen's expression changed slightly. "Naruto, why are you back?"

Naruto scratched his head awkwardly. "Well~ I heard someone was plotting against me, so I came to take a look."

As he spoke, his gaze shifted calmly toward Danzo.

Danzo suddenly felt a chill crawl up his spine.

Naruto's expression wasn't angry—but for some reason, it was terrifying.

Naruto smiled faintly, his blue eyes gleaming with clarity.

This old bastard… the source of every problem.

In the ninja world, if something terrible happens and you can't find the culprit—

don't hesitate.

It's him.

The shadow behind everything: Shimura Danzo!

Danzo's single exposed eye darkened. "See? Sarutobi, the Jinchūriki is already out of control! You're too soft. Leave the rest to me."

"Danzo, don't be impulsive!" Hiruzen warned.

But Danzo ignored him and faced Naruto directly.

"Uzumaki Naruto," he said coldly, "you have two choices."

"One—hand over 200 million silver taels."

"Two—hand over the Nine-Tails!"

Naruto smiled politely. "I'm sorry, Danzo-sama. I choose option three."

Whoosh!

Puff!!

"Aaaahhh!!"

Danzo screamed in agony. His vision blurred as searing pain shot through the eye beneath his bandages.

Hiruzen's pupils constricted in shock—his heart nearly stopped.

Naruto… attacked Danzo?!

And he was so fast—

even Hiruzen hadn't been able to react!

Could it be the Flying Thunder God Technique?

No.

It was just the Body Flicker Technique—

but perfected.

Naruto's immense chakra had boosted its speed beyond belief, creating a literal sonic boom when he moved.

Too fast.

Danzo collapsed to one knee, clutching his now-empty, bleeding eye socket, glaring at Naruto in rage.

"How dare you attack me?! Sarutobi! You see? The Jinchūriki is out of control! Are you still hesitating?!"

Meanwhile, Danzo subtly signaled his Root subordinates to stay hidden.

Naruto ignored him, sighing. "We all live in the same village. It's fine to live peacefully, isn't it? Why force things to turn ugly?"

He could tolerate Hiruzen—because despite his flaws, the Hokage used soft methods and posed no real threat.

In front of Hiruzen, Naruto could still act like an obedient child.

But Danzo was different.

A hawk. Ruthless.

And worse—he had personally taken action against Naruto before.

In the simulation, Naruto might have let it slide.

But in reality?

Not this time.

He'd caught the snake red-handed.

And now, he wasn't going to let Danzo go.
