Chapter 13 - 13

Regardless of what the onlookers thought, the young couple officially began their date.

"Happy?" Susan exclaimed in surprise when she saw the driver after getting into the car.

"Hi, Miss Susan, hello," Happy politely turned around to greet her, then turned to look at Lin Feng.

"Mr. Lin!" Happy greeted Lin Feng with some excitement. To his embarrassment, he was not only a member of the Superman forum but also a veteran.

Happy had once fantasized that if he also had Superman's abilities, Mr. Stark would not have been harmed in any way!

Oh! Tony Stark's loyal driver and bodyguard.

"No... why is he here?" Susan turned to Lin Feng, who was sitting next to her, in confusion.

"Isn't Happy Tony Stark's driver?"

As a reporter, Susan knew a little about the celebrity social circles.

"Did you forget what I told you? Tony Stark is my friend," Lin Feng replied with a smile.

"Are your relationship really that good? I thought it was just a casual acquaintance..." Susan was indeed a little surprised.

She had thought they were just ordinary friends, but she hadn't expected Tony to lend his personal driver to Lin Feng.

"That's not important, is it?" Lin Feng smiled and shook his head, then said to Happy, "Drive, Happy!"

"I know you're tired after a day of work, so let's go eat first, and then go shopping, okay?" Lin Feng chuckled, winked at Susan, and said, "Guess what we're having for dinner tonight!"

It was a somewhat childish guessing game. Happy pouted and started the car. He was just a driver now, and he wouldn't say anything more.

"It's not that new steakhouse, is it?"

Susan also knew about the steakhouse that that annoying John had mentioned. It was a very famous internet-famous restaurant, and the owner had captivated a large fan base with his handsome salt-sprinkling technique.

Leaflets had even been distributed to Susan, and she had seen it in short videos.

But to be honest, Susan didn't like eating steak.

However, if Lin Feng was inviting her, she would still be willing to try it.

"No, I know you don't like steak, Susan!" Lin Feng said with a confident smile.

Just kidding, to his embarrassment, Lin Feng had purchased a handbook about Susan's preferences from the system, which cost him a full 300 points of prestige.

That doggone system was taking advantage of the situation.

"How did you know I don't like steak?" Susan was a little surprised and a little puzzled.

She glanced at Lin Feng's black hair and tentatively asked, "Then I guess, is it oriental cuisine!"

"Hmm..." Lin Feng pondered slightly: "Not entirely accurate."

"Then what is it? Is it seafood?"

"Not entirely accurate!"

"Lin!" After failing to guess several times in a row, Susan became a little anxious.

A hint of coquettishness unconsciously crept into her tone, making Lin Feng's heart flutter.

This made Lin Feng, a novice, a little overwhelmed!

"Alright, alright, it's seafood, and it's also oriental cuisine!" Lin Feng revealed the answer with a smile: "Today, I'll take you to experience seafood prepared with oriental cooking methods!"

Susan's eyes lit up when she got the answer. She thought of a super famous and super expensive seafood restaurant.

"It's not that super famous Oriental Penglaiyun, is it!?"

In Susan's expectant gaze, Lin Feng nodded affirmatively.

"Oh! My goodness!" Susan exclaimed, "I know that place, it's super expensive!"

"It's the number one oriental restaurant on the list of most desired restaurants in New York!" Susan's large eyes were filled with anticipation.

Heaven knew how much Susan, who loved seafood, wanted to taste it once.

But unfortunately, the prices at that oriental restaurant were simply too high! Moreover, that restaurant almost never accepted reservations from ordinary people, usually only catering to nobles, government officials, and the bosses of top corporations.

"Did you really make a reservation at Penglaiyun, Lin! I remember they don't accept reservations from ordinary people!" Susan asked.

As if suddenly remembering something, she then looked at Lin Feng with a suspicious gaze: "Oh my, you didn't turn into Superman to..."

Susan suddenly covered her mouth, her eyes unconsciously glancing towards the driver's seat. She suddenly remembered there was a driver in the car and almost let it slip.

Susan drew an S-shape in the air with her hand, which was the shape of the Superman emblem on his chest.

If Lin Feng had made a reservation as Superman, that restaurant would certainly not refuse.

Lin Feng shook his head with a wry smile: "What are you thinking! How could I possibly make a reservation with that identity!"

At this moment, the vehicle happened to be waiting at a traffic light.

Happy couldn't help but turn his head slightly and explain, "Miss Susan, Mr. Lin is a shareholder of Stark Industries!"

"At the same time, Mr. Lin is also a very good friend of Mr. Tony!"

"I don't think any restaurant in New York would be so foolish as to refuse Mr. Lin."

"What?!" Susan's mouth dropped open, and she turned to look at Lin Feng with eyes full of surprise.

"You're actually a shareholder of Stark Industries!?"

She knew Lin Feng was very rich; after all, he lived in a 600-square-meter villa, which was why Susan wasn't surprised to see a Rolls-Royce pick-up.

But she really hadn't expected Lin Feng to be so wealthy.

Stark Industries, it's practically written on their face that they're loaded, okay?

Lin Feng nodded. He did indeed own some shares in Stark Industries, which Tony had given him.

Susan fell silent. She felt that this big boy was like a treasure chest; you would always discover new gems inside.

She began to look forward to today's dishes.

Happy's driving was smooth, and he quickly brought the two to the seafood restaurant.

With the restaurant's warm hospitality, Susan tasted oriental seafood cuisine for the first time.

The oriental chefs, with their superb culinary skills, had almost made an art form out of seafood preparation.

After the meal, Susan felt it was absolutely worth it.

The dazzling array of dishes and the novel flavors she had never experienced before gave her a whole new concept of gourmet food.

After the two had eaten their fill, New York had already entered its brightly lit night.

The two of them spent a small six-figure sum in US dollars.

Susan gave the dining experience a 9 out of 10. She couldn't give it any higher; she was afraid Lin Feng would get arrogant.

The two sat in the car on the way back, and Lin Feng shamelessly scooted closer to Susan.

Susan noticed his little movement, gave him a glare, but didn't refuse.

She selected a few carefully taken food photos and posted them on her personal page.

Susan's page was only followed by her good friends and family, and she wanted to share this experience.

However, less than two minutes after she posted, her phone started ringing non-stop.

She picked up her phone and saw it was Susan's best friend, Kay.

Kay's messages came in like a barrage of cannonballs, one after another.

"Susan! You went to that restaurant?"

"Oh my god! I heard them say a luxury car picked you up from work today, and I didn't believe it."

"You haven't been spotted by some mysterious big boss, have you?"

"Also! Why didn't you call me for something so good!?"

Kay's questions were more explosive than the last! Susan looked speechless; what was all this about!

"What are you talking about, Kay!" Susan's slender fingers flew across the screen.

"It's a friend! A friend took me to eat! I'll take you next time if there's a chance!"

"Is it the big boss who picked you up in a Rolls-Royce?" Kay clearly didn't want to let Susan off the hook and continued to press.

"If you keep talking like that, I won't talk to you!" Susan's cheeks flushed slightly. This gossip queen best friend really dared to say anything.

"It really was a very good friend who took me. Don't guess wildly anymore." Susan found a photo she had taken of Lin Feng during dinner and sent it to Kay.

In the photo, Lin Feng was carefully peeling a crab leg for Susan. He wore a pair of thin-rimmed glasses, paired with his deep-set features, making him look like a young CEO from a novel.

Kay's side went silent instantly.

After a while, a message finally came again: "Oh! God, where did you find such a handsome big boy?"

"Is he your boyfriend?! Susan!"

Seeing the message, Susan shyly snuck a glance at Lin Feng next to her.

She undoubtedly had a great liking for this handsome, sunny, and somewhat low-key big boy.

Lin Feng was like the protagonist in a fairytale, powerful and confident.

However, their relationship hadn't been made official yet, and Lin Feng hadn't confessed, so he probably wasn't a boyfriend, right?

"Not yet..." Susan replied!

"Then you step back, let me do it!"

"?????" Susan typed out a string of question marks.

"I've been single for over twenty years, and I think this boy is very much to my taste!" Kay's reply was super bold.

"If you don't want him, how about you let me have him?!"

"Get lost!" Susan replied with a black line on her face, then turned off her phone, no longer paying attention to her wild best friend.
