Iris:
My father's voice rang across the air as he stepped forward and spoke out against my brother's brutality.
Wilson's eyes shifted to my father, and so did my mother's.
The two shared a glance before turning back to him.
"Honey, you should shut up. You don't know what is going on. The world has changed. You cannot just live like this," my mother hissed at my father.
My father's fist clenched.
"You have made me make wrong decisions my whole life. Of course, it would be unfair of me to put all the blame on you and refuse to take responsibility for my own actions, but the fact that you still don't realize how wrong you are upsets me so much," my father replied.
His words carried across to them, making my mother roll her eyes.
"I am standing here, ready to admit that I was wrong. How can you look at Wilson and Iris and still confidently say that you chose the right person to support?"
My father's words were full of emotion. His voice even cracked a few times.
