Kash:
"What do you want me to say to her, Your Highness?" the warrior asked, snapping me out of my thoughts again as he waited for my response.
"Nothing. I'll speak with her myself. Thank you," I told him, dismissing him with a hand gesture because I had more important things to deal with.
When I reached the kitchen, my mood changed as I watched my kids with my sister.
"Daddy, look. We prepared snacks. We helped," Amy called, jumping up and down happily while clapping her hands.
I knelt down in front of my little daughter and gently touched her cheek. I knew she was missing both her mother and her father. I wanted to promise my daughter that after today, her parents would never separate, but I had a few things to take care of first.
"I see. You did an amazing job," I told her, complimenting Amy.
She gave a very cute shrug of her shoulders, looking so cocky that it made me laugh.
"I also helped," Colin pouted, making me glance at Zoe before I laughed at his sassy attitude.
