"Make sure you take my threat seriously this time," were her last words for a moment.
She turned around and stepped away. I watched her disappear into her room, and my heart began to beat louder.
At that point, I knew that if Kash married Lara, it would be too late for me. If he did not, my mother would not wait much longer. She would give my brother the cure, though she could wait one more day.
That realization brought a new pain inside me. If she managed to take me back to the Lycan community, it would be over for me. I would become their slave.
I quickly walked out of the guest house, and Walkin noticed me.
"Are you okay?" he asked, likely noticing how pale I looked.
"I'm fine. I need to speak with Kash," I replied. He stared into my eyes, probably seeing the tears there.
"He's in his room. Are you sure you're okay?" he asked again.
I gave him a small hand gesture and started to walk away, but then I stopped.
