Chapter 2 - Don't Say I didn't warn you

Backstory

Clara's great-grandfather had been an Omega. That shadow lingered in the family, and when Clara came of age, she refused every Alpha and Omega who tried to court her. Fear and prejudice clouded her judgement-terrified of bearing omega sons who might, in her eyes, grow up to "bend like wives."

So when Justin, a Beta, asked for her hand, she agreed almost instantly. She thought she had escaped the fate that haunted her bloodline.

Her firstborn, Simon, was indeed a Beta. Relief washed over her. But fate proved cruel: her second pregnancy gave her triplets; three boys, all omegas: Leo, Luca, and Lio. It was as if her great-grandfather's legacy had returned to bind them.

Still in denial, Clara hid their identity from the world. She handed them inhalers, telling them they were asthmatic, when the truth they were scent blockers-masks to conceal their nature from any Alpha who might notice. Worse, her own homophobia poisoned their upbringing, teaching the triplets to see what they were as something shameful, disgusting.

The fracture widened the day the triplets caught Simon kissing his boyfriend. In anger, Clara lashed out with words she never meant; words that cut so deep they pushed Simon toward his death. A wound she carries in silence, her greatest regret.

But secrets can never stay buried. Clara had always planned to tell her sons the truth before they turned twenty-one, to prepare them for their first heat. Yet she kept delaying, convincing herself there would always be more time-until the moment approached faster than she expected.

...

Before Simon transmigrated into Alex Cortez, he had lived a quiet life as an office secretary, secretly involved with his boss until the day his brothers caught them kissing. A year later, after his transmigration, the lives of the triplets had taken very different turns. Leo had risen to become the CEO of the powerful Titanic Group, a position that came with both prestige and chains, for his life was further complicated by an arranged engagement to the daughter of a wealthy Beta family—a marriage promised long before he ever had a say in the matter. Luca, in contrast, had completed culinary school and was working as a promising chef in one of the city's most renowned restaurants, yet his true passion remained hidden. Unknown to his parents and brothers, he secretly performed as a dancer in elite clubs, entertaining VIPs under the cover of flashing lights and shadows, balancing his double life between the art of cuisine and the thrill of the dance floor. Meanwhile, the youngest brother, Lio, remained devoted to his studies at Riverside Medica, quietly walking the long road toward becoming a doctor, the steady anchor in the storm of his brothers' complicated lives.

...

{Present}

Luca lay on his bed, tears rolling down his cheeks, mind spinning and confused about who he truly was.

He remembered that evening, in the washroom at the VIP lounge; the Alpha had pressed against him, overwhelming him with heat and presence when he was at his most vulnerable. When it was over, Luca had fled, running without looking back, even as the Alpha's voice called after him.

Was he really an Omega? All his life, his mother had told him he was a Beta.

Even now, trembling and flushed, Luca's body ached with the memory of the Alpha. He pressed his hands to himself, chasing the heat and pull the Alpha had left behind, tasting the memory on his lips as though he could relive every impossible moment. His body trembled, a mix of shame, desire, and longing, craving the Alpha's presence over and over.

Luca lay on the bed, trembling and flushed, heat coursing through him uncontrollably.

A knock sounded at the door. "Luca, your supper is waiting. Everybody has eaten, you're the last one," his mother called.

He tried to answer, but only ragged breaths escaped.

"Luca! Luca!" she called again, then murmured to herself, curious, "Is he even at home?"

Pushing the door open, she froze. Luca lay there, overwhelmed by heat.

Without a word, she returned with a small basin of water, a towel, and a glass of water. She dipped the towel into the basin, wrung it gently, and pressed the cool cloth to his forehead. Then she guided the glass to his lips.

"Here...sip slowly," she murmured, helping him lift the glass while he lay on the bed. His hands shook as he took small, careful sips.

Sitting close, she stroked his hair and whispered, "I know you're confused right now, son. I'm sorry for keeping this from you. I had planned to tell you sooner...little did I know it would be this late."

Luca didn't say a word, just kept drinking slowly, his chest heaving as he tried to steady himself under her steady, nurturing presence.

...

Morning sunlight filtered into the dining room. Leo sat at the table in his suit, Lio in his school medical uniform, while Clara and Justin moved about, placing breakfast on their plates.

Leo glanced around. "Why isn't Luca eating breakfast with us? Is he unwell...or did he drink too much last night?"

Clara hesitated, exchanging a glance with Justin. I can't say he's unwell...but right now, he's not okay."

Concern flickered across Leo's face. "How...?"

Clara and Justin stayed silent, their eyes meeting briefly. Then Clara turned to Leo and Lio, her voice calm but firm. "Tonight, I want to have serious talk with you."

Leo tilted his head slightly, adjusting his glasses, his voice soft. "Mum...is there a problem?"

Clara shook her head gently. "No, son. Just...something important."

....

{Leo}

Leo sat at his desk in the Titanic Group office, buried in reports and financial spreadsheets, fingers flying over the keyboard. The hum of the computers filled the silent room.

His secretary knocked lightly and stepped in. "Sir...this morning, we received a response from Lion's Group. They've officially turned down our acquisition proposal."

Leo's face darkened. He slammed his hand on the desk. "How can they reject it? Alpha Cortez approved this deal just a week ago! We submitted the feasibility studies, risk assessments, projected cash flows, and everything needed for due diligence!"

The secretary swallowed, lowering her gaze. "Sir...it's...it's his son. He disapproved the proposal, claiming it conflicts with the long-term strategic vision and that the projected synergy doesn't meet their board's expectations."

Leo's jaw tightened. "His son? After all the groundworks, negotiations, and compliance checks we've completed!"

He grabbed the office phone and dialed Lion's Group. A secretary picked up politely.

"This is Lion's Group. How may I help you?"

"I'm the CEO of Titanic Group," Leo barked, anger sharp in his voice. "Connect me to your boss; I want to speak with him directly."

The secretary's tone remained calm. "Please hold for a moment."

A few minutes later, she returned. "Sir, the boss is currently in a scheduled meeting. Perhaps later?"

An hour passed. Leo called again. Same polite secretary, same answer. And again.

Fuming, Leo slammed his palm on the desk. " Goddammit! Tell him; if he's not talking to me right now, I'm coming to his office personally!"

The secretary hesitated, then placed him on hold. Moments later, she returned.

"The boss has said...if you're really desperate to speak with him, meet him at Crown's Club VIP lounge 580, at 7 PM."

By 7 PM, Leo's sleek black car rolled up at Crown's Club. He strode toward VIP lounge 580, only to stop short at the door. Inside, Marcus and Victor lounged casually, each surrounded by their omegas, laughter and flirtatious touches filling the air.

Confused, Leo hesitated. Is this the right lounge? He was about to turn away when Marcus called out smoothly, "This is the right lounge. Alex will be here soon. Sit down and wait for him."

Reluctantly, Leo walked in and took a seat, shifting uneasily in the plush chair. His eyes flicked around, the opulence and casual intimacy making him slightly uncomfortable.

Victor leaned back, a teasing smirk on his lips. "I didn't know Alex got a taste for guys in suits too."

Leo' s gaze snapped to him, eyes blazing with intensity. "I'm not done with men," he said sharply, voice low but edged with fire.

Victor leaned forward, a playful smirk on his face. "Care for a drink? Something to help you relax while you wait?"

Leo hesitated, glancing at the glass. "I don't usually-"

Marcus chimed in, voice casual but persuasive. "Oh, come on, Leo. One won't kill you. Just a little taste while you wait for Alex."

Reluctantly, Leo took a glass, swirling the liquid before drinking. The burn of the alcohol slid down his throat, warming him slightly.

Victor's eyes glinted. "See? Not so bad, right?"

Before Leo could refuse, Marcus offered another. "Go on...one more won't hurt. Relax a little."

He took it.

And then another. And another. The drinks kept coming, each one sliding past his hesitation, until he found himself finishing glass after glass under their teasing smiles.

...

Morning came, light filtering through the curtains, harsh against Leo's pounding head. He groaned, blinking into the unfamiliar surroundings of a hotel room. Memories of last night; drinks with Marcus and Victor, laughter, the blur of darkness-swirled hazily in his mind.

A warm hand had steadied him at some point, but how he ended up here, he couldn't recall.

On the nightstand, a glass of water and two pills caught his attention. Beside them lay a folded note:

"So, CEO by day, sitting duck by night...Careful, next time if you're not keen, you'll be preyed on. Don't say I didn't warn you."

Leo's jaw clenched, fists tightened at his sides.

That bastard...
