Ivy walked through the hall way of the airport, round to for her parents who she had called earlier to pick her up from the airport. Sighting her parents ivy ran into their arms crying so hard. She has been away from her home town and away from her parents for 7 years. Each day didn't pass without her missing her parents, she couldn't control how she felt. She was really excited to be back home.
After eating the enormous amount of her favorite food her mum had personally prepared for her due drifted into sleep. Waking up the next morning, she did some house chores brushed her teeth, had her shower, did some little makeup, then walked out of the house to stroll. She has almost forgotten how her hometown looks like,so taking a walk around the streets was what she need.
As she walked down the streets "ivy," she heard someone shout. She looked around before seeing her green-eyed, beautiful best friend since high school who she hadn't seen for 7 years, but had kept in contact with each other,Lyla, waving frantically from under the tree they had deemed theirs on the first day of freshman year. She laughed and shook her head at her over-dramatic ways that ivy couldn't live without, and waving and taking off into a light jog in the direction her friend was.
"I can't believe you are back!" Lyla squealed as she started jumping up and down. She threw her arms around ivy and hugged her tight. Ivy rolled her eyes before she realized she couldn't breathe as Lyla continued her jumping around. She patted Joni
Lyla's arm to let her know it was time to let go of her. She loved Lyla like a sister, but sometimes wondered how they had ever become friends when they were so different. Lyla was the typical beautiful, spoiled, rich girl.
She didn't act like she was too good for Ivy though, and she had always shared everything with her. She truly was the definition of a best friend. They had met at the luch break hall when they ran into each other, spilling each other's food. After apologising to each other, they became best of friends.
The girls were very different, but that never mattered to either of them. Ivy never thought of herself as not pretty, she just wasn't overly beautiful like Lyla. She was short and pretty average. Especially compared to Lyla. Ivy's parents had never struggled financially when she was growing up, they weren't just as rich as Lyla's parents. Thankfully Lyla loved her no matter how she looked or how much less money her parents had then her own.
" Ivy. Are you even listening to me?" Lyla asked her with an impatient look on her face.
"Huh? Um, yeah," she answered her as she came back from her thoughts.
"Sorry, what were you saying?"
Lyla rolled her eyes and sighed, "After alm this years you haven't still learnt how to listen to me," she popped her hip out and placed her hand on it. "I was saying I missed you so much". Lyla said as they both hugged again.
" I hope you are coming for the welcome dinner mum and dad planned our for me" Ivy asked Lyla . Yes Ivy I will definitely be there, and guess what?, I picked out the best clothes from the mall specially for your welcome dinner. Lyla said jumping with excitement.
Jack and chleo Banks arrived ivy's house for the welcome back dinner. Pleasantries was shared btw both parents while the best friends chatted at the corner of the room.
"Let's go eat before the food gets cold ," Bella, ivy's mum said. "You people talk more than anyone I have ever met," she sighed as she walked past them. Everyone laughed, knowing that she was more dramatic and talk than most people all the time, as they followed her to the table filled different dishes.
