Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Priestesses? Planning a Special Career

It was at this moment—

"Kya!"

A woman's panicked voice rang out from the crowd.

Due to the tightly packed crowd on both sides, a small boy — no older than five or six — was accidentally pushed out from the mass of people.

He stumbled forward, directly into the path of the Four Armaments adventurer team.

Unable to regain his balance, the boy fell to the ground, scraping his arm on the rough surface. Blood trickled from the wound.

"Ugh... Waaah!!"

The sharp pain in his arm, combined with the panic of being separated from his mother, caused the little boy to burst into loud sobs.

The sudden commotion drew the attention of Scama, the black-haired, cold-faced captain of the Four Armaments. Her eyes flickered with interest — an opportunity had presented itself.

For most adventurer teams, increasing their visibility was crucial, and this incident seemed like the perfect chance.

"Lilynette..." Scama turned her head, her expression composed as she prepared to ask the pink-haired priestess to step in.

But before she could speak—

Lilynette had already taken the initiative.

With a graceful stride, she moved forward, the long slits in her white priestess robe swaying open to reveal her thighs — wrapped tightly in black fishnet stockings.

A few audible gulps came from the crowd.

"Don't worry, little brother," Lilynette cooed softly, crouching down with a warm smile. "I'll take care of you."

Raising her palm over the boy's injured arm, she called out:

"Minor Injury Treatment!"

A soft white light radiated from her hand, and in moments, the boy's wound was fully healed — as if it had never happened.

The pain vanished, and his sobs quieted. Tears still clung to his cheeks as he stared up at Lilynette's gentle smile.

"Thank you, sister..." he mumbled, his voice shaky.

But before he could finish, his expression shifted. His face paled, and his body shrank back slightly— something about her smile unnerved him.

Why... why does this smile feel so scary?

Click. Click.

The faint sound of armor shifting signaled Scama's approach. Clad in full-body armor, the captain knelt beside the boy, seemingly checking on his condition.

However, beneath the pretense of concern, Scama leaned closer to Lilynette and muttered in a sharp tone:

"You pervert, quit staring at him like you're about to eat him. The last thing I want is for our rising reputation to be ruined by some disgusting rumors about you!"

Hearing her captain's warning, Lilynette's tongue flicked out, licking the saliva gathering at the corner of her mouth.

"Unripe fruit is so tempting..." she whispered in disappointment.

The little boy flinched again, shrinking back even further.

He couldn't understand what the two were saying, but something about these two "kind" adventurers felt... off.

Meanwhile, the two other male members of the Four Armaments team exchanged knowing glances and sighed in unison.

From the crowd, a middle-aged woman burst through, her face frantic. Spotting the little boy safe and sound, she exhaled in relief.

"Thank you... thank you!"

She bowed repeatedly, gratitude etched across her face.

Though adventurers weren't always well-received by the nobility, they were highly respected among commoners.

By now, Scama and Lilynette had both stood up, resuming their calm and composed demeanor. They waved off the woman's thanks with righteous smiles, signaling that no gratitude was necessary.

Meanwhile, Sakeer's focus had already shifted.

A notification appeared before Sakeer's eyes:

[Discovered Skill: "Minor Injury Healing (1st Order)"]

Requirements: Basic Priestess/Priest profession, Level 1–7.

Current conditions not met...

[The "Genius" profession has been activated, the transformation has been successful. Learning conditions now met. Consume 1 skill point to learn?]

Priestess?

Sakeer stared at the prompt on his attribute panel, momentarily stunned. His eyes flickered with intrigue.

Forget watching the show... I need to sort this out first.

Turning away from the bustling crowd, Sakeer moved quickly to find a quiet spot where he could think.

The sun blazed overhead. Judging by the heat, Sakeer guessed it must be around May — though the temperature felt more like June or July back in his previous life.

By his calculations, the Great Tomb of Nazarick was expected to appear in this world roughly four years later, in mid-July. That meant he still had some time to prepare.

Time isn't tight... but I can't afford to rush my class decisions either.

The arena, located near the royal capital, sat beneath the hills where the landscape was rich with vegetation. The trees formed a natural barrier, separating the area from the crowded civilian districts on the city's outskirts.

Finding a shaded spot under a tree, Sakeer sat down and opened his attribute panel.

Since Sakeer had unlocked Minor Injury Healing, his "Genius" profession had now gained access to two basic spellcaster classes: Priestess and Priest.

This surprised him.

Priestess...

Just by the name alone, Sakeer knew it was a female-exclusive class — yet his "Genius" profession allowed him to unlock it regardless.

In Overlord, the two classes had subtle distinctions.

Priestesses leaned more heavily toward magic-based abilities, particularly healing.High Priestesses, their advanced form, even received a significant boost to their healing capabilities.

But that wasn't what intrigued Sakeer most.

The fact that a female-exclusive class is available to me... does this mean I've gained access to "female character" bonuses as well?

If that were true, it could open up certain unique career paths — possibly even those reserved strictly for female characters.

This was no small detail.

From what Sakeer knew through the anime and Overlord light novels, special professions were exceptionally rare. Among the most notable were:

Bone King's [Eclipse]Cocytus' [Asura]Shalltear's [Valkyrie]Mare's [Apostle of Calamity]Demiurge's [Evil Origin]Victim's [Martyr]

Even Albedo possessed a special class, though neither the anime nor the novels explicitly revealed its name. Sakeer only knew that Albedo's special class allowed her to transfer death to her armor — up to three times — essentially giving her four lives if paired with resurrection items.

An incredibly powerful defensive mechanic...

Of course, special professions weren't limited to these six. There were others like [World Champion] and [World Calamity], but those were far beyond Sakeer's current reach.

In Overlord, these elite professions felt locked behind an invisible wall, but in this world?

Sakeer had no roadmap — no clear path to uncovering such powerful classes. He could only speculate and explore carefully.

Among the six known special classes, Sakeer immediately dismissed three:

[Eclipse] — Bone King's class, requiring mastery of all necromantic professions and reaching Level 95. Even if Sakeer somehow followed that path, challenging Bone King directly would be suicidal. After all, Bone King wasn't alone — he had multiple Level 100 guardians under his command. Too risky.[Evil Origin] — A demon-exclusive class, and clearly off-limits to Sakeer.[Martyr] — Similarly, this class belonged to the angel race, making it inaccessible to him as well.

That left three options worth considering:

[Asura][Valkyrie][Apostle of Calamity]

Unlike the others, these didn't seem to require extreme conditions or race restrictions.

If Sakeer wanted to pursue a special class, these three seemed to be his best shot — at least for now.
