Chapter 169 - Chapter 169: Eri Is in Desperate Need of Venting!

Akashi didn't hold back and leaned in closer, his voice soft and sweet.

During their playful tussle, the little Shota unintentionally swallowed.

Hearing the sound, Haibara's cheeks flushed a deep red.

All the questions she had just moments ago were now scattered in her mind, lost in the haze.

It felt as though tiny electric currents were coursing through her skin.

Her petite body trembled slightly, as if lightly shocked.

She even forgot to continue sucking.

Her porcelain face was burning hot.

When Akashi finally let go, Haibara was left panting softly, her blue eyes shimmering with an unfamiliar moistness.

Little Shota grinned mischievously.

"Still feel like biting me?"

"Bite!" Haibara shot back, a little pout forming on her lips.

Akashi wasn't going to let that slide.

He launched another playful attack—repeating his usual tricks.

This time, his skill "God's Right Hand" activated once more as his tiny hand found its way to Haibara's slim waist.

In an instant, a critical hit landed.

Maybe it was the tension building from earlier, but it all exploded at once.

Haibara's whole body jolted—like she had been struck by lightning.

Moments later, she lay collapsed in Akashi's arms.

She was no longer the rebellious little kitten from earlier—just a dazed, soft bundle.

"What a treat," Akashi chuckled, gently ruffling her short brown hair.

"Alright, I'll stop teasing. Let me tell you the truth."

"The APTX drug you're researching? It wasn't originally yours."

"Before you, someone in the organization had already studied it."

"Not only did they succeed, but they also developed a working antidote."

"Unfortunately, a fire broke out and destroyed the research lab—along with all the experimental data and the antidotes."

"The one I have now... I happened to come across it by sheer luck."

"It's only a temporary solution and completely safe—no side effects."

"As for the rest... I honestly don't know more."

Of course, Akashi had no intention of revealing his system.

The best cover story was to push the origin of the antidote back into the organization's murky history.

"..."

Haibara listened with half-lidded, dreamy eyes.

Akashi's existence grew more mysterious with every passing day.

He hadn't even been in the organization for long—how did he get access to something this old and secretive?

Still, she was satisfied.

At least... he didn't hide anything from her.

Haibara curled up next to him, swinging her short legs up to rest over Akashi's lap.

Warm breath brushed against his neck, making him squirm slightly.

The two children rested like that until Eri and Ran returned from their walk along the beach.

Seeing them like that—peaceful and close—Ran couldn't help but sigh.

"They're like little golden lovers," she murmured wistfully.

Eri stepped closer. "Akashi, Ai-chan, get up now. The sun's about to set."

The two kids looked up. The golden sun was indeed dipping closer to the ocean.

Happy moments always flew by fast.

Ran came over and helped pat off the fine sand from their clothes.

Eri pulled out her phone and called Yukiko.

"Ugh, that woman! She insisted on tagging along, but since we got here, she's been completely MIA! Ridiculous."

She grumbled, waiting for the call to connect.

Meanwhile, in the hotel room…

The phone rang again and again.

On the large white bed, Yukiko, naked beneath the covers, frowned at the noise.

Finally stirred from her daze, she stared up at the ceiling—her expression filled with a strange kind of despair from pleasure.

It felt like half her soul had floated away—still drifting high in the sky.

For the first time in her life, the famous star had experienced something so intense—so shatteringly pleasurable—it left her dazed.

After a long while, she shakily sat up, clutching her lower back with a hiss.

She groped around for her phone and finally answered, her voice thick with drowsiness.

"...Who is it?"

Eri's voice snapped back like a whip.

"You finally picked up! I thought you got kidnapped, big star!"

"It's nighttime already and you've spent the whole day holed up in the hotel? Are you so bored!"

"I don't care—we're going back now. I want a feast when we arrive, and it's your treat!"

Eri's barrage of words left Yukiko blinking in confusion.

Before she could reply, the line went dead.

Only then did Yukiko realize—this wasn't her original room.

She needed to get back upstairs before anyone came looking.

She tried to get up—but her legs instantly buckled, still sore and shaky from earlier.

Clutching her abdomen, she winced and made her way to the bathroom.

There, she spotted her discarded red swimsuit—completely soaked and unusable.

The memory of what happened earlier flashed in her mind, making her cheeks turn crimson.

So indecent…

She found some flip-flops, rinsed them off, and slipped them on with a grimace.

Then, she grabbed a white hotel bathrobe from the closet, quickly tying it around herself.

Wrapped up tightly, she hurried upstairs to her original room.

Unbeknownst to her, her phone had dozens of missed calls—not just from Eri, but from Conan too.

Back in room 0408…

Akashi and the others returned just as the sun dipped below the horizon.

Opening the door, they found Yukiko already inside, sitting upright and smiling gently.

She looked elegant and refined—as if nothing had happened.

"I've ordered room service," she said warmly. "Dinner's on the way."

"Take a quick shower, and we'll eat together on the balcony. It'll be lovely with the sea breeze."

Outside, the balcony was beautifully lit—strings of lights like starlight hung above.

In the distance, they could see the bonfires among the coconut trees and the shimmering sea under the night sky.

The table was already set.

Eri crossed her arms. "Fine. I'll settle for that."

Then she grabbed Akashi's hand.

"Come on, let Auntie help you shower. You're covered in sand. So dirty—like a little mudball!"

Haibara's eyes widened in shock.

Even Yukiko tried to interject, "Eri, that's not really necessary—Akashi can wash himself."

Eri rolled her eyes.

"You don't understand. He falls so easily in the shower!"

"I'm starting to wonder if this kid has suction cups for feet—how else does he keep slipping?"

"Anyway, don't leave without me. Order some wine—I plan to drink until I drop tonight."

Ran stepped forward. "Mom, I want to shower too. I smell like the ocean!"

Haibara stared at Ran, stunned.

Are these mother and daughter always this... casual?

Ran noticed the look and misunderstood.

She grabbed Haibara's arm. "Ai-chan, come with us! You two are just kids—no need to be shy!"

"We'll save water if we wash together!"

Save water? In a luxury seaside hotel?!

Haibara wanted to scream.

Before she could protest, she was yanked inside.

The bathroom door slammed shut behind them.

Outside, Yukiko stood frozen, dark lines covering her forehead.

Why does it feel like I've just been completely excluded?

Still, she sighed, picked up the phone, and ordered some drinks.

She had a feeling… her bestie, Eri, was in serious need of emotional release tonight.
