Kael (thinking): Now… how am I going to find another island?
He paddled steadily, hoping the current would guide him.

Stepping off his small boat, Kael took in his surroundings. The air smelled different, the trees were taller, and the ground felt alive in a way his home island never had.
Kael (thinking): This definitely feels different from my country…
His attention shifted to a commotion nearby. A man was being beaten by a crowd of people, and no one seemed to intervene.
Kael (frowning): Why is everyone attacking him? I can't just stand here…
