Chapter 70 - Thunder God's Wrath

Nami glared viciously at Vice Admiral Onigumo, her voice icy. "You, old bastard! You were one of the ones laughing just now, weren't you?!" And he'd laughed so loudly, as if afraid no one would hear him.

"Nami, Navigator of the Leo Pirates..." Onigumo, a cigar clenched between his teeth and his hair wild, fixed a cold gaze on her, slowly drawing two of the famed swords he carried. "If Leo is the true Rumble-Rumble Fruit user, then you must be the Cloud-Cloud Fruit user."

Having reached this conclusion, Onigumo secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Nami was taken aback for a moment, then understood. The Marines' intelligence must have noted her using cloud-based abilities, leading them to assume she had the Cloud-Cloud Fruit. They had no idea that cloud manipulation was just one elemental aspect of her true Weather-Weather Fruit. Seeing the dismissive look on Onigumo's face, he clearly looked down on the power of clouds.

Nami smirked coldly. "Onigumo, you'll regret underestimating me when you're dying on my cloud spears!"

"You're looking for death!" A cold glint flashed in Onigumo's eyes as he stomped on the deck.

Soru!

One of the Six Powers. Onigumo's figure became ghost-like, closing in on Nami rapidly. Simultaneously, the six other famed swords entwined in his hair seemed to come alive, whirling and slashing wildly. As a member of the Marine hardliners, he had only one attitude towards pirates: kill! The concept of 'cherishing the fairer sex' was absent from his dictionary.

Sensing Onigumo's powerful assault, Nami was instantly infuriated. "You just don't know when to quit, do you, old man?!"

"Cloud Spike Assault!!!"

Nami swung her right hand. Vast layers of cloud were rapidly compressed, filling the air with densely packed, triangular prism-shaped spikes, each as hard as steel!

"I'll skewer you, you old fossil!" Under Nami's control, the cloud prisms formed an impenetrable net of firepower, surging towards Onigumo and sealing off all his escape routes. Through repeated experimentation, Nami had found that only the triangular prism shape inflicted the maximum damage, creating wounds that were extremely difficult to heal.

Onigumo's mouth twitched. He could clearly sense the Armament Haki coating every single one of those prismatic spikes. Realizing this, his expression grew serious. "To have developed the Cloud-Cloud Fruit to this level in such a short time... I cannot let you live today." His killing intent intensified.

The long hair on Onigumo's head stirred as if blown by an unfelt wind. The two swords in his hands and the six entwined in his hair were instantly sheathed in Armament Haki. The jet-black blades reflected his resolute gaze. "Die!!"

"Eight-Sword Style: Spider King's Fang!!!"

The battle between Nami and Onigumo officially began!

As their fierce fight erupted, another confrontation was starting.

"So, you are Nico Robin?" Vice Admiral Doberman stared intently at the woman blocking his path. "Capturing you will be a great achievement!" He licked his lips in excitement. Though it was his first time seeing Robin in person, her reputation was legendary. The sole survivor of the Ohara incident, with a bounty of 79 million Berries placed on her head at just eight years old. Not for her strength, but for her ability to read the Poneglyphs. Doberman inwardly rejoiced; this was a gift handed to him on a silver platter! Once he captured Robin and brought her to Marineford, even if he didn't get a promotion, a raise was practically guaranteed. Thinking this, an irrepressible smile crept onto his face.

"Robin, surrender quietly!!" Doberman sneered, his skin instantly growing a coat of black-and-white spotted fur.

Zoan Type, Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Dalmatian.

As a veteran Vice Admiral, Doberman immediately transformed into his most powerful human-beast hybrid form. Even a lion uses full force to catch a rabbit. On the battlefield, he would never underestimate any opponent.

"Hehehe... You're quite confident," Robin replied, a serene smile on her face as she glanced reassuringly at Leo. "But our Captain is fighting so hard. As his crewmate, I can't afford to hold him back." She would not lose this fight.

"A mantis trying to stop a chariot? How ridiculously overconfident!" Doberman snorted, his large frame charging at Robin with surprising speed.

"Rankyaku: Dalmatian Tail Whip!"

His legs were already wrapped in powerful Armament Haki, aiming for a one-hit kill.

Robin watched Doberman's approach impassively, crossing her arms over her chest. Her Flower-Flower Fruit ability activated.

"Diez Fleur: Break!!"

A flurry of petals. To Doberman's utter disbelief, ten jet-black arms sprouted all over his body. Fear began to take root.

"Vice Admiral Onigumo! Vice Admiral Doberman! We'll help you!" Dozens of well-trained Marine soldiers raised their flintlock rifles, aiming at Nami and Robin, and opened fire. Muzzle flashes lit up the deck as a hail of bullets, cutting through the air with sharp reports, shot towards the two women.

"What a nuisance!" High above, Leo looked down with disdain. He pointed a finger, and all the bullets were instantly obliterated. Simultaneously, bolts of lightning as thick as bowls struck the Marines with pinpoint accuracy. Amidst sharp cries of agony, the soldiers were fried, black smoke rising from their bodies.

Leo did not press the attack further. Nami and Robin were not flowers in a greenhouse; they needed the tempering of battle. Onigumo and Doberman would serve as perfect whetstones.

Seeing the Marines strewn across the deck, their lives extinguished, Garp's face darkened completely.

"LEO!!" Garp ground his teeth, his rage boiling over. "Kizaru, you help Onigumo and Doberman. I'll deal with this brat immediately!" How dare Leo kill so many Marines right in front of him?! A double layer of rage buff stacked!

Kizaru cast a lazy glance at the other two battlefields and raised an eyebrow. The fights he had assumed would be one-sided had completely reversed. Nami and Robin were the ones gaining the upper hand. A flicker of disappointment crossed his eyes as his body began to grow indistinct, countless golden particles preparing to streak towards the other battles.

"Kizaru, did I say you could leave?!" Leo's lips curled into a cold smirk. The next instant, he vanished!

Garp's eyes bulged out comically before snapping back into place. He's gone?! Leo had just disappeared into thin air?!

"KIZARU, BEHIND YOU!" Garp roared, spinning around.

"TOO LATE!!!"

Leo materialized directly in front of Kizaru, his right leg, sheathed in Haki, whipping towards the Admiral's chest.

"What?!" Kizaru's pupils contracted sharply, his face a mask of shock. In desperation, he could only cross his arms in front of his chest.

THUMP!

The next moment, Kizaru was sent flying, landing right back where he started next to Garp. Leo appeared there simultaneously.

"Kizaru, don't get any clever ideas. Your opponent is me," Leo stated coldly, looking at the two of them. The Glint-Glint Fruit, huh? Famous for its speed, huh? Let me introduce you to teleportation.

Garp and Kizaru exchanged a glance, the shock evident in their eyes. The 'speed' Leo had just displayed... no, it wasn't speed at all. It was an instantaneous disappearance. Their Observation Haki had been active the entire time, clearly capturing the moment Leo began to move and the moment he reappeared. But there was no process of movement in between. Realizing this, the last vestiges of their earlier ease vanished, replaced by grave seriousness.

"Leo, what ability did you just use?!" Kizaru demanded, his face dark.

Leo looked at Kizaru as if he were an idiot. "Moron, are we friends?" What kind of Admiral asks his enemy to explain his abilities mid-fight? Had his laziness rotted his brain?

Kizaru's face turned livid with anger at the retort, glaring furiously at Leo.

"Vice Admiral Garp, this brat's ability is... strange. Let's subdue him together first," Kizaru said, abandoning any thought of assisting the others. He was now deeply intrigued by the ability Leo had just displayed.

Garp, for his part, didn't underestimate the situation either, nodding in agreement.

"Leo," Kizaru said, his voice losing its usual lazy drawl, "to have Vice Admiral Garp and myself team up against a rookie pirate... you are the first in history!"

"Light Speed Kick!!!"

A dazzling golden light enveloped Kizaru. In the next instant, the light shot towards Leo at lightning speed. He had used this move to 'educate' countless rookie pirates.

"WAHAHAHAHA! LEO, LET'S SEE YOU DODGE THIS ONE!!!" Garp, not to be outdone, coated his fists with high-density Armament Haki and flashed forward.

The two men attacked from the front and back, trapping Leo in a pincer movement. Garp refused to believe that, locked on by the Observation Haki of two top-tier fighters, Leo could still escape.

"Leo, have you ever been kicked at the speed of light?!" Kizaru's voice echoed.

"Taste my Fist of Love!!!" Garp bellowed.

Kizaru's long leg and Garp's furious fist arrived in the blink of an eye. To them, Leo was already a trapped rat.

Leo gave them a sidelong glance. At the very moment Kizaru's foot and Garp's fist were about to connect...

Teleport!

Swish~

Leo's figure vanished.

Garp and Kizaru's expressions changed simultaneously, but it was too late. Kizaru's Light Speed Kick and Garp's Fist of Love collided with each other.

BOOOOM!

A powerful shockwave erupted, hitting both men and sending them stumbling back.

Seizing the opportunity, Leo flashed in front of Kizaru before he could steady himself. A fist shrouded in high-density Armament Haki swung out, aiming straight for the Admiral's face.

Kizaru's face paled. In that split second, he coated his entire body in Armament Haki.

CRACK!

The next moment, Kizaru was sent flying again!

"YOU BASTARD!!" Garp roared, moving quickly to position himself behind Kizaru, helping to dissipate the force of the blow.

"That was too close," Kizaru said, a trace of fear in his voice as the black Haki receded from his body. He touched his stinging face. He'd almost been disfigured.

"Vice Admiral Garp," Kizaru said, his voice low, "Leo isn't just fast. It must be some kind of teleportation ability." He was beginning to piece it together. If he'd only suspected before, he was now almost certain.

Garp's face was dark as he nodded grimly, agreeing with the assessment.

"And what can you do about it?!" Leo retorted, his hands behind his head, a smirk of disdain on his lips. You know my ability, but you still can't touch me. As long as he had Instant Transmission, he was untouchable.

"WAHAHAHA! Leo, I've sailed the seas for decades! I've seen all sorts of strange abilities!" Garp boomed. "If I'm not mistaken, using that teleportation must consume a massive amount of stamina! Let's see how many times you can use it! Kizaru, let's take him down!!"

Garp took the lead, his entire body sheathed in Armament Haki as dark as ink. He shot towards Leo like a cannonball.

A faint smile touched Kizaru's lips. So the legendary Hero is finally getting serious? Well, he couldn't just slack off anymore, either.

"Yasakani no Magatama!!!"

He crossed his arms in front of his chest, forming strange hand seals. Kizaru flashed high into the air, his body erupting in a blinding golden light. Countless golden particles materialized in the space before him, instantly enveloping an area hundreds of meters across.

You can teleport, can't you?! Let's see you teleport out of this! The farther you go, the more stamina it drains!

"Leo, let's see you escape this!!!" Kizaru's voice rang out.

The endless golden light, as if receiving a command, poured down towards Leo like a violent storm.

"Leo, take another of my fists!!!" Garp, his aura skyrocketing, swung his Haki-imbued fist, teleporting in to smash it directly into Leo's face. The power behind this punch was enough to pulverize a mountain with ease.

"WAHAHAHA! BRING IT ON!!!" Leo laughed heartily. Did they really think he was out of tricks?!

RUMBLE RUMBLE

Violent silver lightning began to run rampant. Leo stood bathed in a sea of silver. His eyes glinted coldly as he pressed his right hand down fiercely.

"Wide-Area Divine Punishment!!"

BOOOOM!

Thousands of furious silver lightning bolts descended. The sheer destructive force and impact tore through the very sky, the sound deafening.

The storm of lightning met the countless golden particles.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The golden particles were instantly set off, triggering a chain reaction of massive explosions. The air became a sea of fire, a wave of intense heat sweeping out in all directions, engulfing and pulverizing several nearby towers into fine dust.

Nami, Robin, Onigumo, and Doberman, all locked in their own battles, paled and immediately relocated to a safer area.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The great explosions lasted for a full minute. Towering flames shot into the sky, forming a gigantic mushroom cloud over Enies Lobby.

"Don't get too cocky, you brat!!" Garp roared, charging through the inferno with an angry fist, the black Haki on his knuckles glinting coldly in the sunlight.

"Don't play the seniority card with me, old man!!" Leo snorted coldly, his silver-white eyes regarding Garp with indifference. The next moment, bolts of lightning as thick as barrels, heeding Leo's call, mercilessly rained down upon Garp.

Garp's expression changed drastically. He twisted and turned, his Observation Haki pushed to the limit as he dodged the lightning strikes. Even if these bolts couldn't kill him, avoiding harm was human instinct. No one would willingly take a hit unless they were trading injury for injury. Despite his efforts, Garp was too slow to dodge them all. Several bolts struck his body. Though they didn't break his Haki defense, a numbing paralysis spread through his limbs.

"Leo, that's enough!!" Garp bellowed.

"Ama no Murakumo!!" Kizaru's angry shout echoed. A golden flash, and Kizaru materialized behind Leo. In his hands, he held a longsword forged from condensed golden photons, swinging it in a deadly arc towards Leo's neck.

Leo tilted his head, narrowly avoiding the slash, and rapidly retreated. Looking at the sacred sword in Kizaru's hand, a cold light flashed in Leo's eyes.

"Fine, I'll play with you properly!"

Demon Slayer: Thousand Blades, unsheathed!

"Leo, no matter what, I will drag you back to Marineford today!!" Garp tore off his tattered shirt, revealing a powerfully built chest. An unprecedented, powerful aura surged within him, rising steadily. If they allowed Leo to continue growing, he might become more dangerous than a Yonko.

"Ooooh~ Vice Admiral Garp is truly angry now," Kizaru remarked, his eyes widening in surprise. The last time Garp had been this enraged was years ago, and his opponent then had been a Yonko. Now, it was just a... rookie pirate.

"WAHAHAHA! Kizaru, you two really think you're something, don't you? So what?!" Leo retorted with a scornful shake of his head. "Can you tell me what the consequences will be for pissing off Garp?!"

Kizaru was taken aback, his face settling into a deep scowl.

"Kids these days are really something else!" Kizaru narrowed his eyes slightly, all thoughts of slacking off now gone. If he didn't show some real capability, they'd think he'd gotten his Admiral position by doing nothing!
