Chapter 22 - Wanted Faces and the Baratie Takeover

Fleet Admiral Sengoku's expression was steady but sharp as he finally asked the question that had been nagging him.

"Garp, be honest. What exactly is your relationship with that Straw Hat kid, Luffy?"

Garp didn't bother hiding anything. "He's my grandson."

Sengoku exhaled a long, tired sigh. He should have seen it coming. The pieces suddenly fell into place, but the weight of the revelation still pressed on him. Gently patting Garp on the shoulder, he reassured him, "Don't worry. Your grandson's alive. He's just injured."

Garp's knuckles clenched against the table, leaving faint cracks in the polished wood. "Injured? Just injured? That idiot—he goes out to sea and immediately gets himself cut down?!"

Sengoku fixed him with a knowing look. "But Garp, if you meet him, try to talk some sense into him. Convince him not to pursue the path of piracy. Pirates never end well."

"I'll make sure he learns a lesson," Garp promised through gritted teeth, pounding his fist on the desk again, sending crumbs flying. "No way I'll let this slide."

At that exact moment, the dossiers on Leo and his crew arrived. Sengoku handed them to Garp without a word.

"Take a look. This is the pirate named Leo," he said.

Garp squinted at the first photo. "This is the little brat?!"

Handsome enough, sure, but could he withstand a single punch from me? Garp's gaze scanned the crew's other photos.

He blinked in disbelief. Every member was female—and stunning.

Nami: Navigator of Leo Pirates, suspected Weather-Weather Fruit user.Nojiko: Nami's sister, other abilities unknown.Kaya: Identity unknown.Makino: Identity unknown.

Garp rubbed his eyes. Then he froze. "Makino?!"

The memory hit him—days ago, a frantic call from Dadan, full of curses, warning him that Makino had been taken by a kid. He had dismissed it as a joke. Turns out, the kid was Leo.

Another reason to take him down.

"Logia-type Devil Fruits… when did they become so common?!" Garp muttered. "Not only appearing twice at once, but even the rare and destructive Weather-Weather Fruit has reemerged."

Sengoku shook his head gravely. "That's exactly why this is concerning. If it truly is the Weather-Weather Fruit, we cannot let him grow unchecked."

The Marine records told of a previous Weather-Weather Fruit user. A single combatant who had fought two top-tier Marines alone, unleashing storms that could level thousands of meters around him. He survived encirclement and became famous from that one battle. If such power had returned to the seas, they had to act preemptively.

"I'll return to the East Blue," Garp finally said. "Find Luffy. Capture Leo while I'm at it. Kill two birds with one stone."

Sengoku shook his head. "Garp, based on the reports, Leo has been keeping his ship aloft with Cloud-Cloud Fruit powers. Your chances of finding him are slim."

Garp didn't argue this time; he knew it was true. The Leo Pirates could be anywhere over the sea right now. Still, Sengoku didn't refuse outright—he knew Garp's primary motive was Luffy.

"Then issue a bounty. Even if you can't find him, make sure he can't live comfortably at sea," Sengoku suggested.

Garp nodded, ready to leave immediately. Four beautiful women serving Leo every day… the envy was real, but duty came first.

Three days later, the Merry glided silently over the calm East Blue waters. Leo had kept the ship low-profile as they approached their destination, avoiding unnecessary attention.

"Is that the Baratie?!" Nami's eyes lit up as she pointed toward the massive ship-shaped structure. "It looks exactly like the stories said!"

East Blue's most famous floating restaurant, renowned for its culinary skill, drew visitors from other seas as well.

Kaya's eyes sparkled, taking in the new sights with delight. For someone who had been largely confined by illness, this was an entirely new world.

"Look! There's a pirate ship ahead!" Nojiko shouted, pointing.

The others turned and saw a battered vessel flying a tattered flag. Leo smirked. "That's the 'Fearless Blade,' the flagship of the East Blue's self-proclaimed pirate king, Kurok."

East Blue's pirate king? Nami raised an eyebrow. "So… Kurok's strong, or Arlong?"

Leo shook his head, casual. "Both are about the same. Kurok's bounty is 17 million Berries."

"Only 17 million?!" Nami's voice rose indignantly. Arlong had been 20 million, and she'd handled him herself.

Makino frowned. "Kurok's the East Blue king… how come his ship looks like that?"

Leo chuckled. "Some saw what they shouldn't have. Ambition met reality. Ended up with a serious rival and a broken morale."

The crew laughed softly. Once the Merry was docked, Leo called the group together. "Today we improve our meals. Let's see what this restaurant has to offer."

All four women eagerly followed him inside, eyes bright with anticipation.

As they reached the open doors, a man emerged from the entryway, waving his arms in grand gestures. He laughed like a man who had lost all sense of restraint.

"Ha! From today onwards, this restaurant is under my control! If you don't want trouble, you'd better listen to me!"

Leo's lips curved into a smirk. He could feel the tension in the air already—the Baratie was about to witness its most chaotic day in years.

The scene was set. Pirates, a floating restaurant, and a fearless crew ready to challenge the established order. Leo's grin widened; testing his new Shiki-style swordsmanship couldn't come soon enough.

The Baratie would be more than just a stop for a meal—it would be a proving ground.

The bounty notices for Leo and his crew were already being circulated by the Marines, and the East Blue was beginning to stir with rumors of the bold new pirate captain and his stunning all-female crew.
