I dreamed only of becoming a knight.
And now, here I stand as the commander of all knights but My service is bound to the tyrant, yet deep within, I pray for the day his demise.
A tyrant who kills mercilessly,
unlike the old king, the kind king,
the beloved of all people in the kingdom.
The tyrant ordered us to march upon another land.
I prayed, Lord, Lord, help us. Protect the innocent from their demise.
But my prayers went unanswered.
The tyrant commanded: Kill every single innocent soul in the kind king's kingdom.
Child, mother, father, son, daughter every family ended in blood by our own hands.
We cried as we walked to the gates of the throne.
There, the two kings faced each other in battle.
I prayed again, O Lord, almighty king above all men, help the kind king.
Still, nothing.
The kind king fell.
And I knew then, the gods had abandoned us in this misery.
I have sinned. We have all sinned against heaven.
Perhaps that is why no answer came.
So I beg you, O Lord—
use me..
I will serve you until the rise of a new kingdom.
