Chapter 50 - Chapter 50:Stone Plant boss

Chapter 50:Stone Plant boss

Ank POV

The village was now completely ruined. Craters formed across the ground, corpses of stone plants spread everywhere and the smell of blood and dusk clung to the air. The sky was dark, not from clouds, but from the suffocating aura that was releasing from the enormous figure standing in front of us.

Arthur, his blade glowing faintly with mana, narrowed his eyes.I knew His instincts screamed danger like mine . Yet he didn't hesitate. The moment the Stone Plant Boss revealed itself, Arthur lunged forward.

He quickly moved towards the stone plant boss ,Arthur's sword carved a path toward the monster's chest. His speed was enough to split the ground beneath his feet.

Before he moves towards Arthur to stop his attack his eyes meet mine and from that I know he can easily dodge Arthur's attack.

And he did the same thing that I thought ,he easily blocked the attack.

Clang!

The sound produced from their clash between Arthur sword and his hand.

He raised his other stone hand and caught Arthur's sword as if it were no more than a child's toy.Arthur tried to take his sword back from his grip but the monster's grip did not falter.

"Pathetic," it rumbled, its voice heavy like he was declaring order that no one can object like he was king.

Then, before Arthur could pull back his sword ,from behind of stone Plant Boss a new stone hand emerged ,in his new hand , Energy started condensing into a colossal weapon a sword forged from stone and glowing green veins, half its size but radiating an aura that shook the battlefield.

The monster swung.

Boom!

The force was overwhelming. Arthur's body was flung backward like a ragdoll, crashing into the ground with enough power to leave a crater. Dust and rubble exploded outward.

"Master!" I shouted, my voice hoarse. My eyes widened in disbelief.

 way how could this happen?

His trembling hands opened the status window, desperate for answers.

Its unique skill Plant Atmosphere reshapes the battlefield into its domain, multiplying the strength of all stone plants by 100× and amplifying its own stats by 1000×.

"How how do we even fight something like this?" my first thought after seeing his status.

This was the first time I had ever seen a monster with a title. And not just any title a fifth strongest warrior .

This wasn't just any normal monster . This was a being capable of erasing entire continents . Its stats weren't numbers they were death sentences.

Five hundred thousand HP? A million stamina? Strength at a hundred thousand?

My own stats were nothing compared to this. I couldn't even imagine how we would defeat him.

If my power had unsealed I could easily defeat him but now it was impossible.

And then I saw the part that made my stomach twist.

This this wasn't even the strongest one. There were others. That meant there were four others, each as terrifying as him, maybe even stronger than him And above them a king.

But the old man did not lose hope after seeing the stats.

The old man groaned from within the crater, struggling to his feet. His body was battered, but his eyes burned with defiance. He spat blood, raised his sword, and roared as he charged again.

"Master, no !" I tried to stop him again, but he ignored my voice again.

Arthur leapt high, swinging down with all his might. His blade was cloaked in mana, the air itself trembling beneath the force of the strike.

But the Plant Boss didn't even blink.

With a single swing of its colossal sword, it struck back.

Slash!

The sound was sickening. Arthur's body split in two, cut cleanly down the middle. His halves crashed into the ground, blood spraying across the broken earth.

My mind blanked.

"Master ?" I whispered, my voice barely audible.

Then the current situation hit me.He was gone. Arthur old man my master, my mentor, Maya's grandfather dead.

"No NO!" I screamed, rushing forward, my legs moving before my mind could think.

I fell to my knees beside him, my hands trembling as they reached out. My heart pounded in my chest, desperate, terrified.

Then a light emerged from his body .

Arthur's body flickered, glowing faintly. His form pulled itself back together, his chest rising with a sudden breath. His skill one of his hidden trump cards had activated.

Relief crashed over me like a wave..

But the cost was clear. Arthur's left arm was gone, wounds all over the body . Blood dripped from the wound, staining the dirt beneath him.

"Master you're alive." My voice broke. You are alive if you are dead, how will I face Maya?

Before I could say more, a voice rumbled across the battlefield, shaking the very air.

"Oh, boy "

The Plant Boss's emerald eyes gleamed as it stepped forward. Its presence was suffocating, heavier than any monster I had ever faced after my revival. Its words alone seemed to crush me into the ground.

"Our king wishes to see you," it said, its lips curling into a cruel smile. "He will arrive tomorrow. Until then survive."

My breath caught. The king? The one who commanded this monster?

The boss continued, voice like rolling thunder. "I will depart. No stone warriors will come no Assassins, no Archers, no Bodybuilders, no Tanks. But the soldiers they will not stop. Survive their endless assault for twenty four hours, and your king will grant you an audience."

My stomach churned. Endless assault? Millions of soldiers? For twenty four hours?

Before I could react, the Plant Boss raised its sword. A portal tore open behind it, swirling with dark green light. Without another word, it stepped inside and vanished.

For a moment, silence fell over the battlefield.

But the silence didn't last.

Riiip

The air split. Dozens of portals appeared. Then hundreds. Then thousands.

From each one, stone soldiers poured out monstrous figures with jagged arms, glowing eyes, and bodies carved from rock. They marched in unison, their footsteps shaking the ground.

And then more came. Portals above, portals below. The sky itself was filled with descending soldiers, an endless tide blotting out what little light remained.

Millions.

I couldn't even count them.

My heart pounded so hard I thought my chest would burst. My hands clenched so tight my nails dug into my skin.

How how can we survive this? How can we fight this?

Every part of me screamed to run. To give up. To accept death.

But I couldn't. Not with Maya still out there. Not with Arthur bleeding beside me.

My fear turned into fire. My despair into rage.

I stood, lifting my blade with trembling hands. My throat was dry, but my voice didn't waver.

"Fine Come at me."

The ground shook as the first wave of soldiers charged.

And the war for survival of 24 hour began.

End of Volume One
