Chapter 12 - 12

The two groups of people who had originally intended to leave stopped immediately as if startled, drawing their guns and pointing them in all directions.

As they did so, they shouted in terror.

"It's him, it's definitely him, that demon, he's here!"

"Fuck, our deal was so secret, how did he know about it?"

"I don't want to die!"

...

All sorts of shouts erupted!

At this moment, it was as if they were no longer ruthless gangsters, but rather young girls facing several burly men.

Bang!

A gunshot suddenly rang out.

The Black boss, who had been holding a cigarette, fired a shot into the sky, successfully drawing everyone's attention to him, this frenzied boss.

"Do you think you can escape by just shouting? Whoever shouts again, I'll kill them first! What's so great about a demon? Today, I'm going to kill a demon!"

That boss became even more deranged!

But, truthfully, it actually worked!

This group of people became more resolute!

"What are you afraid of? Let's fight him! We have so many people, so many guns, are we still afraid of just one of him?"

"That's right! Today, we'll let him know the might of our Viper Gang!"

"Let's go together, finish him, and then we'll all go back alive!"

...

A cacophony of voices rose once more, and a good deal of their fear dissipated.

The Black boss was even more invigorated, firing his gun into the dark corner without caring if he hit anything.

As he did so, he shouted hysterically, "Demon, aren't you very powerful? Come out!"

This meaningless action, coupled with the demon's non-appearance, filled everyone with a sense of exhilaration, making them eager to move, and the Fire in their hearts burned even more fiercely.

"The demon is nothing but..."

The boss, seeing that the demon hadn't appeared for so long, was just saying this when suddenly, a Shadow pulled out a long black line and appeared before him, bringing with it a faint, lightning-like flash of light that sliced across his neck.

Pfft!

The sharp blade cut through flesh.

"As... as..."

The Black boss's words could not continue. He clutched his neck in pain, trying to stop something from flowing out, but there was nothing he could do. He could only feel the warm liquid gushing out in terror.

It seeped through his fingers, ran down his chest, soaked his clothes, bringing with it the pungent smell of rust and a dazzling crimson.

The sudden scene stunned everyone!

It wasn't until another boss shouted to shoot that everyone reacted.

Immediately, gunshots erupted, and bullets rained down on the Shadow!

Chapter 10: More Than One Is Busy

In the abandoned factory, a group of people were shooting at a single person.

From the muzzles, flames surged, and bullets, propelled by these flames, burst out of the chambers and barrels, weaving a metal storm that surged towards the Shadow.

It seemed as if they would tear him apart with the bullets.

Under the bright light of the flames, the expressions of those holding guns appeared especially ferocious.

The bullets continuously closed in on the Shadow!

Fifteen meters!

Ten meters!

Five meters!

When the bullet rain was only this short distance from the Shadow, the Shadow suddenly moved, like an antelope hanging by its horns, or a White steed fleeting past a crack, transforming into a black streak of light, trailing a long black afterimage, it darted through the gaps in the bullets, rushing towards a Viper Gang gunman.

The gunman's pupils instantly constricted, and the expression on his face was about to turn to panic and horror.

But it was already too late!

With a squelch, the gunman was like a Water bag that had been cut open. Blood gushed from his neck as if it were free, threatening to become a fountain before his eyes.

And at this moment, panic and horror finally appeared on his face.

However, it was useless. He could only, like their boss, weakly clutch his neck, trying his best to slow the flow of his blood and prolong his life for as long as possible.

But this was all in vain!

Blood uncontrollably flowed from his fingers, his mouth, and his nose, and his life smoothly entered its countdown.

His strength also slowly faded at this moment.

Thud!

The gunman's vision went dark, his legs gave out, and he uncontrollably fell to his knees.

And this sound seemed to become a signal; such sounds continuously rang out, unusually abrupt and piercing amidst the dense gunfire.

The gunman struggled to look in the direction of the sound, and before his vision completely darkened, he realized that he was not the only one like this; there were many others around him in the same state.

They were either kneeling or lying on the ground, clutching their necks in pain.

Perhaps because life was at its final moments, time seemed to slow down dramatically before his eyes.

From his perspective, before each of these individuals, a series of blood mist fireworks were slowly entering their decline, turning into wisps of bloody rain falling, just like each of their lives.

Watching this bloody rain, watching the blood on and around each of these individuals, he gained a deeper understanding of the word "demon."

The figure constantly weaving through the crowd, each traversal taking a life, truly was a demon.
