The moment the pull drag me away, i was no longer in the real world, only surrounded by endless stars. I felt free like i was cut free from chains that were tying me down. All of a sudden, i felt strange, a strange boundary appeared out of nowhere, it was still and transparent like glass but reflected my image like a mirror. i moved closer to it, just like i expected, it was cold, my hand passed through and a ripple moved throughout the entire barrier replacing the stillness instantly, then all of a sudden, a strange force pulled my hand which was inside the boundary, it dragged me until i was fully in and my eyes closed shut instinctively.
The next moment, i opened my eyes,my sight was blurry, there was no danger, but something felt amiss. I couldn't...breathe.
My lungs felt like they were on fire , i tried to move, but the cold enveloped me entirely. There
water everywhere, even with my Shadow's sense range, i couldn't feel any solid ground.
It was clear, i was in an ocean.
I tried kicking forward, but it was useless, thinking of another solution, i felt it. A very ominous presence below me, before i knew it, my mouth opened, salt water rushed in immediately assaulting my taste buds, i felt my eye lid grow heavier, something rose in my mind, which made it even harder to struggle to stay alive.
It was...fear.
I was about to fall unconscious, until, my shadow merged with me. The force weighing me down vanished as i floated upward. My upper body was in my tangible form, i swung my hand upward, till i got closer to the surface. I t became even harder closing the gap between me and the surface, with all the will power i had, i lunged forward into the surface.
Air filled my lungs, cooling my insides down, looking at the terrain, there was land but, reaching it would be impossible in my current state, i stared at the sky, my breath was still haggard but all that mattered was that i was alive, i felt angry, the hex really had to love enjoying me suffer, but where am i, cold winds engulfed me, i was naked. Without a choice, he summoned the shroud.m was m
As soon as his breath got steady, he swam again, closing the gap between him and his goal got easier. But a feeling clung to his heart, it ensured he didn't once stare back, what was inside the ocean was something humans were never meant to see, let alone him .
He breathed heavily as he finally got to solid grounds, he saw marks on several parts of his body which looked like something solid held him tightly which made no sense.
He stared away from the ocean and into the terrain of the land. What he saw and felt shocked him to his core.
Everything was weird, beyond the reasoning of weirdness, the beach led to a forest which looked endless , but the trees itself felt off, they were vibrant in life but also gave a dead vibe. Like they were not alive but still living, dead but alive. And amidst it, there were numerous engulfing presences of spawns.
Only one thought came to his mind and it was, that he had been thrown into another death trap laid down by the hex.
He bent down and touched the sand, the moment the sand entered his palm palm , the hex's voice echoed in his mind:
[ You have entered The Sorrow'sVeil ]
[ You have reached the first region of sorrow's veil ]
[ The Sapphire Abyss ]
[ A task has appeared ]
[ Kill the Guardian of the Mourner of the Abyss ]
[ Reward: ??? ]
Just like that, the hex gave the most formal explanation of how he would die.
The worst part is that there was no records of sorrow's veil in any of the cleared and uncleared regions, which meant it was an undiscovered region.
Saying that made him feel worse, like he had just signed his own death certificate.

A small glass bottle came into existence from sparks of light, its intricate designs showed it was a master piece. The only problem is that , it was empty.
Night focused a little and out of nowhere, it started filling up, the moment it reached halfway, night stopped, unlike using traits , it was easier like answering simple questions. The only problem was the simpler the question the faster he had to respond. There was no way to keep up physically and mentally, which made it hard yo use without another source.
The glass broke into countless sparks of light , he stared into the forest, he tried to take a step forward but, there was a feeling that crept into him when he tried, it was like he instinctively knew he would die if he entered.
Remembering the enchantments of the shroud, he activated the second.
[Hide]
Nothing really changed, but that feeling vanished, the strain on his mind increased greatly.
He tried to take a step forward, unlike before, he felt free and unnoticeable. Then he took another, he walked slowly into the forest, cautious of anything around him.
Out of nowhere, Something brushed past him. A ghostly serpent, translucent and shifting like water, but wet like tears, slithered past him.
Its scales felt like they weren't solid but cold like ice. They looked like frozen tears arranged one after each other to form an outer shell.
It let out a soundless wail, a vibration more than a sound. It didn't hurt him at all, but he felt like shackles were binding him.
He turned around and followed it, his body followed it as it moved towards the ocean again. Night was desparately trying to stop himself but it didn't work. The gap between him and the water closed quickly.
Nothing he did worked since he couldn't do anything, it wasn't just his body that was trapped but also his mind. Night's leg felt cold as he was already inside the water.
Then with no hope left, black flames surged at of him, sounds of shackles breaking echoed in his mind.
He was free.
A loud wail echoed into the air, the enchantment broke. And now, another problem had occurred.
