Stonehenge.
Also known as the Salisbury Ring, the Ring of Stones, or the Temple of the Sun, it is a famous prehistoric cultural temple site in Europe.
Every year, no, to be precise, almost every day, tourists flock to see the splendor of Stonehenge.
To put it bluntly,it's just a few pieces of broken stones, some real and some fake.
Anyway, after Hawke arrived at Stonehenge, he only glanced at the stones, some lying down and some standing, before looking away.
Perhaps because it was still early, or perhaps because someone had run naked at Stonehenge yesterday, Stonehenge was not open today.
But this did not include Hawke.
Hawke stood quietly in front of a megalith.
He could feel that Stonehenge seemed to have been activated, with a strange energy fluctuation similar to what he had felt in the abandoned warehouse yesterday.
The Convergence of the Nine Realms.
This is a spectacle rarely seen in millennia.
Today, with the World Tree trembling, the Nine Realms connected by the World Tree will experience a brief spatial overlap, much like the alignment of nine stars.
Logically speaking, Earth, which fell from the World Tree universe, shouldn't be considered part of the Nine Realms anymore.
But while Earth has fallen, its roots remain, which is why this spectacular convergence of the Nine Realms is unfolding on Earth.
It is also why Hawke was able to follow Jane Foster to find the Reality Stone, sealed away by the God-King Boole.
Of course,it is precisely because today is the day of the Nine Realms' convergence that the Dark Elf Malekith wants to use the Aether to transform the Nine Realms into a dark world.
After all, even if he transforms the Nine Realms into a dark world on other days, it will only be temporary, an illusion.
Once his energy can no longer offset the consumption of the Reality Stone, or the Reality Stone is stolen, the Nine Realms will return.
After all the reality modified by the Reality Stone is not a permanent, constant reality.
Otherwise, Thanos wouldn't have bothered collecting all the Infinity Stones in the movie; he could have just used the Reality Stone to modify them.
First, the Reality Stone cannot directly replace, negate, or supersede the core abilities of the other Infinity Stones.
If Thanos only used the Reality Stone, he couldn't cover the entire universe with a single thought.
He would have to wait for the Reality Stone—the dark red, writhing liquid of the Aether—to cover the universe on its own.
Conservatively speaking, that would take hundreds or even trillions of years.
After all, the universe is vast.
But that's not the main point.
The main point is that even if a single Reality Stone could alter reality, it would only be a temporary change, not a permanent one.
This is why Thanos needed the other Infinity Stones.
Only with the other stones in hand could Thanos combine them with the Reality Stone, using the Power Stone's infinite power to activate the Mind Stone, amplify his thoughts with the Mind Stone, and then use the Reality Stone to alter the entire universe on the levels of space, time, and soul.
Malekith knew this too, which is why he took advantage of today.
Because under this once-in-thousands-years phenomenon of the Nine Realms overlapping, the spatial boundaries between the Nine Realms become blurred and even overlap, creating massive energy channels and spacetime anomalies connecting the realms.
This would be a vast energy source, providing the Aether with an unprecedented energy source and influence amplifier.
In this way, Malekith's alteration of the Nine Realms' reality with the Reality Stone would achieve a permanent change.
Coincidentally,Hawke had the same idea.
The moment his cosmos materialized into reality, the moment the parallel universe on the Phoenix side of reality was born, an unprecedented energy burst would also occur, allowing his cosmos to achieve permanent reality.
Therefore the Reality Stone.
He was determined to obtain it.
Hawke thought expressionlessly.
Just then, out of the corner of his eye, he glanced at a stone pillar in the Stonehenge on his left.
What he saw made Hawke smile.
"Do you carry your Spider-Suit with you?"
"No, I wear it on my body. When I need to use it, I just pull off the jacket and put on the hood."
Peter, his limbs resting on the pillar like a guardian beast, shook his head, then earnestly explained why he changed clothes so quickly.
Because he wore it like underwear; since he didn't need to make any spider-shooters, it didn't get in the way.
Hawke listened to Peter's explanation and nodded.
"Where are Gwen and Mary?"
"They went out for a stroll."
"And you?"
"I saw you were resting, so I decided to rest too. Mary and Gwen went to some kind of girls' day."
"Okay."
Hawk chuckled.
Peter shot out a web, swaying to Hawk's side, then looked towards the center of Stonehenge emanating from it: "Need my help?"
Hawk smiled.
"You know what I'm going to do?"
"I don't know."
Peter shook his head, shrugged, and said to Hawke, "They're having a girls' day, so we can have a boys' day."
He didn't know why Hawke was here, or even what Hawke was planning.
But one thing Peter was certain of:
Hawke was his friend, and Peter was sure that if he wanted to do something, Hawke would be on his side.
Hawke naturally understood what Peter meant.
But.
"You can watch, but don't help."
Hawke looked at Peter beside him and said in a very serious tone, "Even if I die, don't help."
Peter, wearing the spider mask, tilted his head and looked at Hawke.
Hawke said, "Don't worry, I won't really die. Even if I die, it will just be a rebirth; I will still be resurrected."
The sixth sense can only be truly understood and controlled between life and death.
In short ,only those who are infinitely close to, or even truly dead, have the right to control the sixth sense.
Right now, although his cosmos is at the silver level, it's just an empty shell.
Only when he controls the sixth sense can he successfully control his current cosmos.
Peter, hearing Hawke's serious tone and seeing Hawke's equally serious expression, remained silent for a moment before nodding.
"Alright, then you can tell me who you want to be with."
"Coming."
Before Peter could finish speaking, Hawke suddenly sensed the rapid approach of the aether particles.
Raising an eyebrow, he interrupted Peter, then looked towards the center of Stonehenge.
What he saw.
With a silent ripple appearing in the space of Stonehenge, Malekith, whose left cheek appeared to have been recently disfigured, pale as stone, with deep-set eyes and white pupils, exuding a melancholic, ancient, and exotic aura, silently appeared within Stonehenge.
The moment henappeared.
Peter's spider-sense instantly activated, every hair on his body standing on end uncontrollably.
Hawke and Malekith locked eyes.
Malekith's pale pupils calmly met Hawk's gaze, his voice filled with a chilling aura: "Child, do you believe I possess something within you? Would you hand it over?"
Hawk smiled slightly: "I'm afraid not!"
Malekith chuckled in response.
The moment he first saw Hawk, he knew Hawk wouldn't so readily relinquish his Aether.
After all, Hawk had already used the Aether.
But.
"Power from another universe; with your current materialized energy, stopping me might be difficult."
"Try it."
Malekith was, after all, a contemporary of Thor's grandfather and Odin's father, the god-king Bauer; his extensive experience meant it wasn't surprising that he, like Mephisto, saw through the source of Hawk's power.
Hawke didn't seem to care, shrugging at Malekith and saying casually, "If I die, the Aether is yours; if you die, the Aether is mine."
"Fair enough!" Malekith smiled and nodded, then his tone shifted, his gaze suddenly landing on Peter standing beside him: "What about this spider?"
Hawke smiled too: "A battle always needs an audience. If I die, he can collect my body, so I won't trouble you."
Malekith laughed.
Hawke laughed too.
Their gazes clashed once more across Stonehenge.
The next second.
Dark red energy erupted from Malekith's body, instantly forming a sharp spear.
"Go!"
Hawke shouted to Peter almost the instant Malekith's expression changed, then, as the sharp spear formed from dark red energy hurtled towards him, he punched it with his right fist.
Boom!
The sharp spear shattered like glass.
Malekith's pale pupils flashed with a hint of mockery.
"You've been tricked—"
The words had barely left his lips when the dark red substance, which had shattered like a mirror, reformed, bypassing Hawke's fist and slamming directly into his chest.
Boom!
Hawke was sent flying, crashing through the wall built by the London government to protect Stonehenge.
Back on a Stonehenge pillar, Peter, who wasn't involved in the fight, watched Hawke being blasted away, listening to Hawke's words.
The moment Malekith took a step, he was already outside Stonehenge; the next step revealed him outside the wall Hawke had just blasted open.
Dust billowed from the ground not far away, and when it cleared, Hawke reappeared covered in soot.
Malekith smiled gentlemanly, even looking at Hawke with an expression of appreciation.
"Want to continue?"
"Of course!"
