"What will happen to us if the aliens succeed in terraforming?" the female technician asked the scientist.
"If they succeed in terraforming, there won't be any 'us' anymore," the scientist said with a serious expression, shaking his head.
In an alley in Metropolis, Batman grabbed a guy's shoulder and forcefully twisted it back.
With a thud, he slammed the opponent to the ground.
Then, he used his knee to press against the opponent's chest, raised his fist, and heavily punched the opponent's cheek.
Thud!
The guy who was looting in the chaos on the street was immediately knocked unconscious by Batman.
Exhaling, Batman stood up.
But then he saw a scene that left him utterly shocked!
The night sky was dispelled, as white light, like sunlight, drove away the darkness.
The light that completely dispelled the night continuously extended throughout the city.
The light and shadow shone on Batman's body, illuminating him, and then illuminating the entire alley.
Watching night turn into day, Batman's jaw dropped in astonishment, looking towards the origin of the white light.
That was the spaceship in the city center!

Seeing the "destruction" continuously spreading outwards around the spaceship, Batman immediately thought of the Wayne Enterprises branch office near City Hall.
All employees of Wayne Enterprises were still at the company because of his orders.

Then he bent his legs slightly and shot up into the sky.
With a "boom," he flew towards the spaceship near City Hall at supersonic speed.
On the other side.
Hearing the faint sonic boom from the sky, Clark, who was fighting Lex in Smallville, looked at his opponent, who he had thrown to the ground and knocked unconscious, shook his head, and with a "whoosh," flew into the sky.
Clark used his Super Vision to look towards Metropolis and witnessed the Kryptonian spaceship's arrival.
A hint of anxiety flashed in his eyes, but Clark did not fly towards Metropolis. Instead, he flew towards the Secret Fortress in the Arctic!
He now had many questions that Jor-El needed to answer.
Upon entering the Secret Fortress, Clark called out, "Jor-El, I need your help!"
"Lex Luthor, or General Zod?" Jor-El's voice echoed around him.
"Both. Lex's body has been altered by the Kryptonians. He's very dangerous now and has lost his self-awareness. How do I awaken him?"
"You cannot! Kal!" Jor-El said to Clark, "His flesh has been taken over, and his consciousness no longer belongs to him. If you want to completely free him from control, then kill him!"
As he spoke, a bright light emanated from the diamond-shaped Icicle, illuminating the entire Icicle with dazzling colors.
An ice blade flew out from the sharp Icicle, slowly landing in Clark's hand.
"Sometimes, you must make a decision, even if it is painful or difficult, but you must take responsibility for it, my son!"
"This is the pain that comes with responsibility. You will eventually learn this truth in your future life."
Clark did not respond to Jor-El's words. Instead, he gripped the ice blade, his face filled with hesitation and struggle.
"I…" Clark wanted to say something, but he never did.
After a moment of hesitation, he asked Jor-El, "General Zod's spaceship has already begun to operate. It looks like his terraforming of this world has begun. What should I do?"
"The master key!" Jor-El said to Clark, "On the baby spaceship that brought you here, there is a key. That key, combined with the key Eric possesses, will allow you to stop the spaceship's World Engine from operating!"
Hearing Jor-El say this, Clark immediately thought of a small, elongated seal he had once seen with an "S" carved into its base!
