"What happened?" General Swanwick asked the technicians in the Pentagon's command center.
"General Zod's spaceship split in two! One flew east, the other flew south!"
"How fast are they going?"
"Nearly Mach 24. It looks like they're going to land somewhere in the South Indian Ocean!"
Meanwhile, on Praslin Island, Seychelles, it was already dusk.
Fishermen fishing near the island spotted a spaceship trailing a long plume of fire, drawing a trajectory across the sky before plunging into the sea.

Static appeared on the screen, and green square blocks formed strong, irregular lines, occupying the entire screen and then continuously spreading outwards.
In less than a second, the screen was completely taken over by the green square blocks.
"What is this?"
A look of astonishment flashed in General Swanwick's eyes.
"The virus has breached our firewall and internal security wall, and is starting to invade our computers!" the technician replied nervously.
"Then stop it!"
"I don't believe the Department of Defense's security system would be breached so easily by them!" General Swanwick said rapidly.
"We need more time to stop this virus, but it's spreading faster than we anticipated, General!"
"Immediately connect to the Information Security Department, and also call the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff!"
General Swanwick walked to the screen with a serious expression, ordering the staff to act immediately.
He already felt that General Zod's final attack was about to arrive!
In the center of Metropolis City Hall, the landed spaceship underwent another unexpected change.

An earthquake sweeping through Metropolis continuously spread outwards along the surface.
Amidst the rumbling sounds, the ground began to collapse, and countless buildings crumbled from the shockwaves.
The streets seemed to be stirred by something underground, jumping upwards out of thin air.
Items on the street also suffered, being thrown upwards and then falling heavily.
Cars were shaken up, then crashed to the ground with a bang.
People who couldn't escape screamed in terror, flung up by the abnormal ground vibrations, then falling heavily.
Centered around City Hall, dust and smoke rapidly spread outwards.
Accompanying this was the catastrophic destruction of the ground.
People ran, screaming in terror.
