Chapter 100 - Chapter 100 I'll help you suppress those bastards

"Then she just left?"

At Kent Farm, Clark asked his parents, somewhat surprised, "No threats or warnings or anything?"

"Clark."

Jonathan frowned, looking at his eldest son, "You want us to encounter such a situation?"

"No, I just…"

Clark immediately realized he had misspoken and quickly apologized to his parents.

"Sorry, I was just thinking that with Kara's personality, she wouldn't suddenly appear and then leave without doing anything."

"That's the strange part. She… she seemed to have undergone some kind of change."

Jonathan put down the jam he was stirring and said, puzzled.

"A change in demeanor, or rather, that strange feeling she gave off has disappeared."

Jonathan organized his words, saying uncertainly.

"Maybe once Clark stops provoking her, she'll become more like a normal person."

Eric said from the side.

These past two days, he had been busy adapting to his physical changes through real combat outside.

By beating up and dealing with those gang members, he not only honed his combat experience but also deepened his proficiency with the 95% template.

He was busy with two birds with one stone, so he wasn't home on the weekend.

"Since I can defeat her once, I can defeat her a second time, so there's no need to worry."

Eric comforted his parents.

"On the contrary, I feel that old scoundrel named Jor-El is even more dangerous."

He then added another sentence.

Hearing his youngest son swear, Martha immediately corrected him, "Eric! You can't say that word, and he is your…"

Martha wanted to say that the other party might be his biological father, but after glancing at Jonathan, she swallowed the latter half of the sentence.

Jonathan frowned and pondered for a while, "In short, Clark, Eric, you two need to be careful. She has always been trying to get you two to leave this world, but she irresponsibly doesn't tell you the risks."

Eric nodded, indicating understanding.

Clark, however, nodded with some confusion.

He had many unknown mysteries in his mind that needed to be solved.

As for Kara, although his impression of her was average, the secrets surrounding her still filled him with curiosity.

Late at night, Eric woke up from his bed.

After opening his eyes and staring at the ceiling for a second, he rolled out of bed.

With powerful mental strength and physical fitness, he would be energetic even if he didn't sleep at night.

After leaving the farm, Eric came to the Justice Society Headquarters in Metropolis.

He had already made this place his temporary base.

Walking to the front door of the Justice Society Headquarters and looking at the damaged password lock, Eric frowned.

Someone broke in?!

After entering the Justice Society Hall, Eric observed the changes in the hall.

The arrangement of the furniture, the positions of the round table and chairs, had changed.

Slightly messy footprints were scattered around, indicating that more than one person had entered.

Eric squatted down and observed the footprints on the ground, noting down their characteristics.

Then he got up to check if anything was missing.

Finally, he found that all the equipment was intact, only the position of a Green Lantern had changed.

"Green Lantern?"

Picking up the Green Lantern that had lost its wick, he immediately felt a faint but definite trace of energy remaining on the Green Lantern.

Possessing the Cosmic Staff, he could sense this energy that ordinary people could not detect.

Could it be that a being related to the Green Lantern had entered the Justice Society Hall?

He gently caressed the broken Green Lantern, lost in thought.

After setting up a "trigger alarm" in the Justice Society, Eric closed the hall door, flew into the air, and instantly left using his flight ability.

Bang!

His feet landed steadily not far from the farm, and Eric, holding the damaged Green Lantern, entered his room through the window.

"Knock knock!"

After he entered the room and sat down for only a few minutes, there was a gentle knock on the door.

Eric got up and opened the door.

Clark was standing outside, looking a bit uneasy.

"Eric, I have something I want to talk to you about."

"Talk about what?"

Eric let him in, "Clark, if it's about my whereabouts, I don't think you need to waste your time."

"No."

Clark shook his head, "I won't pry into other people's privacy anymore, I just wanted to remind you of something."

"I heard you had an unpleasant encounter with Mr. Brooks and Mrs. Brooks."

"Who?"

Eric was a bit unfamiliar with that name.

"Lawrence Brooks, Paula Brooks, a couple who really love baseball. Their daughter is Dana Brooks from the baseball team."

Clark directly told Eric the information he got from Chloe, "The baseball team's previous three coaches all had conflicts with Lawrence, and then they all died in accidental incidents."

"You suspect that couple did it?"

"I don't know, but it's very suspicious, isn't it?"

Eric nodded upon hearing this, "So you suspect Lawrence will come looking for trouble with me because I had a conflict with them?"

"If they were ordinary people, I wouldn't worry, but Eric,"

Clark rubbed his nose and said with some concern, "I secretly observed them. There seem to be many secrets hidden in their home. The basement and hidden spaces contain many weapons and equipment uniforms. And the abilities they display are clearly not those of ordinary people."

"Clark, didn't you say you wouldn't use your abilities to spy on others anymore?"

Eric interrupted his older brother and asked him, pretending to be very puzzled.

"Cough."

Clark's expression immediately became a bit awkward, and he coughed feignedly, "That's mostly the case, but sometimes there are special circumstances."

"Hmm, flexible application and adaptation."

Eric nodded, pretending to understand perfectly, then said:

"Although I appreciate your reminder to me, I have more accurate information here. If I provide it to you, it might help you report to Chloe."

"More detailed?"

Clark blinked, not knowing what Eric meant by that sentence.

"Lawrence Brooks, originally named Lawrence Crock, nicknamed 'Sportsmaster', is a member of the Injustice Society of America. He was originally a talented athlete, but was later banned from a football game for paralyzing an opponent, and thus became a criminal."

"Tigress, also known as Paula Brooks, possesses agility and attack power like a feline. She is also a member of the Injustice Society of America. In other words, both husband and wife are so-called supervillains."

Eric meticulously revealed the background of the Brooks couple to his older brother.

"What is the Injustice Society of America?"

Clark asked Eric with some confusion; he had never heard that name before.

"A villainous organization that was active more than ten years ago but has now disappeared. Most of its members are criminals."

Eric stated the information he had obtained from the remaining Justice Society files.

"Is that so?!"

Clark exclaimed, looking as if he had never seen the world.

He did not ask Eric how he knew this, nor did he doubt the accuracy of his information.

After spending time together, his trust in Eric was higher than he could have imagined.

After thinking for a while, Clark looked at Eric, "Then what should we do? Call the police?"

"No!"

He quickly rejected the idea himself, "The police won't believe us because there's no evidence. If the three baseball coaches were killed by them, I think we should stop them!"

A surge of impulse rose within Clark.

The power he had suppressed for so long was now boiling within him.

He needed to vent. If it were ordinary people, he might have reservations, but if they were criminals, he would have no qualms whatsoever.

"You don't need to stop them; they've already come knocking."

Eric looked out the window.

His super vision penetrated through layers of obstacles, seeing the couple walking towards the farm in the dark night.

Sportsmaster, in a black plate armor uniform, wearing a hockey mask, with several baseball bats and hockey sticks strapped to his back.

And Tigress, in a yellow and black uniform, a mask covering her eyes, wearing a neck guard, and with Talon equipment on her hands.

Tigress's outfit would look good on a beautiful young girl, but on a woman of her age and somewhat strange appearance, it gave a very unappealing impression.

Following Eric's gaze, Clark also spotted Sportsmaster and Tigress in the distance.

"They… their target is us? Kent Farm?"

Clark asked Eric, somewhat disbelievingly.

"Looks that way. I guess because I, like those baseball coaches, offended their daughter, so a bounty has been placed on me?"

Eric said calmly, seemingly not taking the impending threat seriously.

"Whoosh!"

Exhaling, Clark clenched his fists, "I'll go with you, Eric."

A surge of anger rose within him.

If someone would casually kill over such trivial matters, such people were the most detestable and unforgivable!

"Are you sure?"

Eric glanced at his older brother with slight surprise, "They are not thieves nor high school students who accidentally gained superpowers, but true criminal elites. If you show them mercy, you might get hurt."

"Suit yourself, just don't hold me back."

Eric stood up and said indifferently.

The next second, Eric activated his super speed, and with a whoosh of wind, he instantly vanished from Clark's sight.
