Chapter 1 - Eternal

It was a bright, sunny morning, and Ester woke up, his eyes glowing in the sunlight. Villagers laughed and smiled because today was a special day. People received magic called Accisums, a unique ability. This magic wasn't just a ability you get by luck but it was a form of magic created from the heart.

Ester walked out of his bedroom door, looking at his parents, and said, "Hello, dad, and hello, mom. Isn't today a special day?"

"Yes, since today is when you awaken your accisums ," his mother said, using her own accisums called Vine. The vine picked up a plate of food and gave it to Ester.

"I want to get magic like yours, but I can't be late for this evaluation for my awakening," Ester said, walking toward the door.

"Honey, my accisum is something that came from my heart, so that's why it's vines," she said with a smile. "But yours comes from your heart, so who knows what you'll get?"

Ester walked to the group of kids gathered around a circle, with a man nearby to make sure everything went right. Kids went back and forth, receiving their accisums, each unique with their own abilities. A young woman stepped into the circle, and blue lights spread everywhere. Her accisums Song was strong and beautiful. Everyone watched in awe, especially Ester, as they clapped at the end of her Accisums Song called Reverse.

After a few more students, finally, it was Ester's turn. He smiled to himself, saying, "I'm gonna get a strong one, just like her." Everyone waited to see what would happen. This boy wasn't the smartest and had barely passing grades.

Now it was time. Lights glowed, and everyone watched. Then a loud boom echoed as Ester simply stood there with his ability being called Eternal.

People looked dumbfounded because that magic had never been seen before. Someone said, "Eternal? Really? Never heard of it. Might be really bad." Others laughed. Ester was blank, with no words for his unknown Song.

He came home devastated about his Accisums being called "bad." He looked at his father and mother as they asked, "How was it, honey? What did you get?"

"I don't know," he said with a devastated face. "Because no one has seen it before."

His father smiled calmly. "My boy, just because people say things about it doesn't mean it's bad without knowing."

Ester left with a fake smile to his room.
