Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: The Strong-Willed Toga

Yang Xiao didn't expect Toga to ask him this question. He smiled and said, "As for me, I'm on leave... I'll be starting high school in a few months."

"You two are so energetic. I think I'm getting old." Wu Shiyin rubbed his forehead, took out a stack of documents from a drawer, and said, "Now that there are two people, the efficiency of the Broken House can be greatly improved, and we can handle more orders."

"Gin-san, I haven't had breakfast yet." Toga said lazily while lying on the sofa.

"It's coming, it's coming!" Just then, a voice sounded at the door. The three looked over and saw the meal delivery boss walk in, holding two white bags that clearly contained breakfast.

This boss had some connection with Wu Shiyin. His name was Wu Yangyi, a man in his forties. He ran a shop with his wife; it's easier to do business as a couple.

He had a nephew helping in the shop, but when delivering to the Broken House, Wu Yang came personally. This was his own choice. Besides, the Broken House was a big customer—three meals a day—and could make good money from one order. It's just that the House Owner was a bit stingy; there were a lot of vegetarian dishes, and the meat-to-vegetable ratio wasn't balanced.

"Thanks for your hard work, Boss Wu." Yang Xiao took the two bags with a smile. After chatting with Boss Wu for a few moments, he left. The breakfast business was busy, so he needed to get back early to help.

This was because the Broken House wasn't far from his shop; otherwise, he wouldn't deliver personally.

"Let me see what's in here." Toga snatched the bag from Yang Xiao's hand, took the breakfast to the Broken House's designated dining table, and opened it. After a glance, she immediately showed a look of contempt towards Wu Shiyin. "Chinese breakfast, and it's all vegetarian? Boss Wu, you're really good to your employees."

"Hehe..." Wu Shiyin felt a bit embarrassed. Actually, this breakfast was sufficient. After all, there was no need for rich, heavy food in the morning; lighter fare was better. But he also knew the current food standard was indeed low. He would talk to Boss Wu later about upgrading the breakfast. "I'll upgrade the breakfast later."

"Just upgrade the breakfast?" Yang Xiao chimed in.

"Fine, upgrade all three meals!" Wu Shiyin declared, slapping the table. He worked hard; if the employees ate well for all three meals, their work efficiency would be top-notch.

"Now that's more like it." Toga clapped her hands towards Yang Xiao, then took out the breakfast and started eating by herself. She didn't care whether Yang Xiao and Wu Shiyin ate or not; she ate first.

Yang Xiao also sat down, took out some soy milk and fried dough sticks, and started eating.

After Wu Shiyin finished organizing the documents, he joined the breakfast-eating ranks. After the three finished eating, they started work. Of course, no orders came in initially, so there was boring downtime. During this time, Yang Xiao usually read the news to understand the world.

After all, the world he was in now was a two-dimensional one. Although very similar to his original world, there were subtle differences. These differences weren't easy to spot, so he needed to read news and information.

Toga was playing a mobile game. Yang Xiao only glanced at it to see what it was—a very gory game. In short, most people wouldn't play it. But such a cute girl always liked these kinds of games.

Perhaps this was related to Toga's life experiences. Yang Xiao felt the first half of her life was too dark, which twisted her heart. This might also be related to her Quirk.

"Boss, I'm here to place an order." Just as Yang Xiao was browsing the news, a man's voice sounded at the door. Turning his head, he saw a man about 1.8 meters tall, but very thin, as if a gust of wind could blow him over.

"So it's Mr. Shi. What order would you like to place today?" Wu Shiyin clearly knew the visitor and spoke politely.

Mr. Shi noticed there was an extra woman in the Broken House. At first, he didn't pay much attention, but seeing she was just a kid, he immediately lost interest. Even if the kid looked very cute, he wouldn't do anything.

So Mr. Shi looked at Wu Shiyin and said, "I have a batch of local specialties from my hometown. I have things to do these days and can't leave, so I want to place an order for you to pick them up for me. It should only take a few hours."

Wu Shiyin thought for a moment and said, "Okay, we'll take this order. Do you need it today or later?"

"The sooner, the better. Bring it today." Mr. Shi said decisively.

"Alright, please go through the procedure first, and pay the deposit as usual." Wu Shiyin nodded.

Mr. Shi started filling out the form, then left after paying a deposit. He would be notified when the shop retrieved the local specialties from his hometown.

"I'll trouble you two to go together this time. I'm afraid Xiao Yang can't manage it alone." Wu Shiyin handed the form filled out by Mr. Shi to Yang Xiao. The form had the address and contact person left by Mr. Shi; they could find it by going there.

Yang Xiao glanced at the form and found Mr. Shi's hometown was in a rural area of Kanagawa. It wasn't far from here; they could get there quickly by train.

"Will the House reimburse travel expenses?" Toga also wanted to go out for a walk, but she asked upon seeing Wu Shiyin's somewhat stingy nature.

"Of course! Do I care about such a small amount? This is a business trip, not personal." Wu Shiyin laughed. He wasn't stingy when he had money.

"That's fine. Let's go." Toga called out to Yang Xiao, then suddenly remembered something. Looking at Yang Xiao, she said, "Don't hold me back."

"Hold you back?" Yang Xiao was stunned and asked, "How could I hold you back just by picking something up?"

"Just... don't dawdle." Toga said something and walked out. Yang Xiao said goodbye to Wu Shiyin and left.

Yang Xiao wasn't very familiar with some of the island nation's transportation, so he needed to follow Toga. Coincidentally, she liked taking the lead, so Yang Xiao didn't need to say anything and just followed behind her.

"Don't get too close to me. I don't want people misunderstanding that we're a couple."

Yang Xiao and Toga were walking side by side when she suddenly said this. Yang Xiao was stunned for a moment and subconsciously slowed his pace. Toga walked ahead, satisfied.

"This girl is really something else..." Yang Xiao thought helplessly, but she was still a bit cute.

Actually, Yang Xiao's real age was already eighteen, just the right age for university, and his mental age was relatively mature. But in reality, it didn't matter how many years older he was than Toga.

"Let's take the bullet train; it's faster than the regular train." Upon arriving at the station, Toga decided to take the bullet train. Although there were regular trains here that weren't very slow, she wanted to take the bullet train because the environment was better, and the government would reimburse it anyway.

"Up to you..." Yang Xiao said indifferently.

Toga smiled at Yang Xiao at this point. "You don't have the right to choose."
